Nod krai AQ might be it (imo)

Obviously this is just my opinion and feel free to disagree with me.
I still haven't finished the quest but i'm pretty much done and nod krai might take THE spot since for me fontaine and sumeru always always go hand in hand on which is the no. 1 in terms of AQ however nod krai might be it.

the combination of character interactions, the start of relationship between traveler and dottore (the doctor), the small funny moments of some of the characters, more lore about the 3 moons and clarification about teyvat's past, the involvement of older characters like albedo, hat guy, dori for more world building, the hexenzerikil's involvement and the "small" twist of luonnotar (iykyk). Nod krai's AQ has that similar feeling between Fontaine and sumeru but just better imo.

Every patch is a build up between characters, world building, and again the involvement of older characters like albedo and "hat guy" makes nod krai's story much more engaging and solidifies the danger on what they're facing.

Yea i agree. Its imho the best story genshin ever made and its not even close.

Obviously its not the best story ever written in fiction, not even close. But I like how consistently good it is and not falls down into pitfalls of absolute slog that fontaine and sumeru both had

Character interactions really just elevated the story imo, when the whole gang interacts or having a plan meeting just makes it's way more engaging.

Nod krai is the best story because it's a proper build up and continuation of so many previous stories.

Varka, Durin, wanderer, dottore, the witches, sandrone, columbina and such.

More than half the roster of characters for this quest is pre established characters from the games 5 year history.

Unlike every other nation which usually builds up a story from the ground up.

Nod krai already has many of its foundations set so we don't need to do too much.

The fact that the narzissenkreuz lore also made it's way to nod krai is still a testament to the fontaine update

In terms of general reception it’s probably the best, and I personally feel that’s well-deserved, not just because of characterization, plot, and framing, but also due to as some said building up on so much lore and hints planted over the last 5 years, which is only possible with long form storytelling.
