What is the chance of having him as playable character ?

He feels bad about trying to kill everyone and apologizes for that.

By Genshin standard, it should be enough for him to be playable.

Some said he has a wife so he wont be playable but his wife died. Just need a story quest where we help him moves on from her.

Hmm.. He's no longer a "bad guy", so in theory that qualifies him to become a playable character.

And yet he's not.. I don't know.. giving off 'banner vibes'. To me he's just a very fancy looking NPC, but not a character I expect to see on a banner. 😅

This is an insane theory based off of nothing but vibes, but the fact that they >!kept him alive in the lunar prison!< does suggest they might be keeping him for a much later banner release, or at the very least they're keeping the option open. Maybe I sound insane but that's what I feel like. And why the hell did he get drip marketing?

but from a narrative standpoint, Rerir is just like capitano, his story is done, and he reaching a satisfying yet tragic ending to his tale, and becoming playable would mean he’ll leave the moon’s reflection, which he can’t do, And even if there was a possibility of him leaving, he wouldn’t want to, because now he’s the closest he’ll ever be to his lover, and he doesn’t want to leave her again, even if they’re separated by space and time

Alice has a child and she has a ring, therefore she has a husband. She’s very likely to be playable as well, so I think there is a non-zero chance that Rerir will be playable, especially considering that he had been given a splash art despite being an antagonist and evil.
