I have these characters, I'm AR 45, chapter 2 archon, (don't ask)

my current team is mauvika, wanderer, varesa and barbara as heal. Would love some tips and what characters I should aim to get.

Ok first, some characters are meant to be on field. You obviously need one of those for most teams, but not more (only if both need short field time which gets you a quickswap team).
Wanderer uses plunge attacks if I recall, Mavuika is an onfield dps aswell and Varesa also. You dont want all three of them in your team.

You can do Aggravate with Keqing(dps), Collei(dendro application and resistance down with dendro artifact set), Yaoyao(heal) and Lisa(in her circle electro res of enemies goes down aswell) on a side note if you wanna try it out.

Mavuika and Varesa is tricky, cause you dont have Fischl, which makes it harder cause they steal each others teammates. Youll probably have to decide which one to use as the onfield dps. If you like both... you could try Mavuika as a subdps. She can technically do both, but Varesa would have more field time in this.
Varesa as a dps, Mavuika as subdps (damage but less field time, but she has high numbers so its fine), and the other spots would be Between Ig Xiangling, Benett and Lisa (more elctro particles for Varesa). This should be good for clearing all kinds of things.
For a dedicated team for Wanderer Faruzan should be good, the rest Id look up on his Keqingguides entry, Im not too knowledgable about his builds.
Mavuika would prefer Melt or Vaporize. With her as a dps, youd need units that have skills/bursts which apply hydro or cryo from off field. You dont have those yet, like almost none, so Id wait and get someone if you wanna go that route with her.
Each team can slot in barbara as a heal slor. She does few hydro, and in best cases, you trigger electrocharged and then overload on top, so theres not much loss youre trading for comfort momentarily.

Tell me how it went. :)
I was pulling for Cons for my Sethos and trying to get Ifa atleast once. (Pulled about 80 times I think, getting Ineffa which I really wanted, so big win there)
I literally have 1 Ifa and got 5 Fischl. Sometimes its really funny, but atleast shes C5 now. Gotta work with what you get. Wish you best of luck.

also i forgot to ask, what off field application hydro/cryo characters there are, and which ones are best for mavuika? I'll aim to get them as well since i love her a lot

Well her perfect in-slot would be Citlani.
To explain, you want teammates that give buffs and you want application of cryo or hydro. Not both, cause that results in frozen enemies and you not getting your Melts/vaporized hits.
If Pyro triggers Vaporize, Mavuika in this instance, the damage gets a x1.5 Multiplier. (x2 if Hydro triggers it)
If her Pyro triggers Melt, Mavuika gets a x2 Multiplier (x1.5 if Cryo would trigger it).
So Melt is ideal with a Pyro dps. But it is a lot harder to maintain Cryo aura on an enemy, so vaporize is a comfortable choice with good characters aswell.
Citlani is good for Mavuika Melt, is a Natlan character so she feeds Mav. Nightsoul and has buffs.
You can do away here with Rosaria as a 4 star, but Citlani is the best choice for pure damage numbers. Xilonen would be good for her buffing as it is huge and appreciated by Mav, but less important than Citlani.
If you go Vaporize there is Furina with big buffs, if you bring a healer, and Yelan (4 star equivalent to her is Xinqiu) for their massive hydro application and good damage of their own.
