Is that now, the Traveler actually feels like a character of their own and not just a self-insert. They’ve gotten more voiced lines in Nod Krai alone than in every other regions combined, and the Nod Krai AQ is the first time the story tries to explore in-depth who the Traveler is.

The quest emphasized how the Traveler isn’t just a generic hero in a fantasy world, but an individual who constantly questions their place in the new alien world they found themselves in, coping with their separation from their sibling, and wondering whether or not the journey they’ve embarked on is truly worth it. Dottore and the Traveler‘s interactions actively drew a lot of parallels between them, and so the story feels a lot more personal than ever before.

It gave me hope as to how the Traveler‘s story will unfold as we head to the Teyvat arc’s conclusion.
