Archon Quests are torture
For a few patches now, I can feel myself being stuck in cutscenes for hours, not being able to leave because I would only log in to be stuck in a bunch of dialogue I’ve already been through.
I don’t know if anyone else is feeling this way but this is legitimately awful.
No matter if the story is actually good or not, being stuck in dialogues for over 2 hours is just torture.
Ps: I anticipate the post will be downvoted but like guys, I really feel frustrated and exhausted. I fell asleep twice during the latest quest.

Explain how to do the weekly boss without doing the quest first!
If you think you can just rush through, you're in for a rude awakening.
This game is infamous for long and unskippable story segments. If you dislike the archon quest then just them skip them. You don't need them for doing most of the combat and stuff outside of the first two nations which aren't that long.
Tucked away in a tiny corner.
At least I was prepared (I knew beforehand it would be long, had spent all my resin and was free for the next 8h), but I can see how others would have problems with that since the message at the start doesn't tell you how long it would be.
But yes, while I don't personally have a big issue with waiting to play a new AQ until I have an hour or two of free time and waiting until the POV changes or there's an obvious loading screen to exit, I agree that Hoyo needs to mark it more obvious and/or make more opportunities to exit and not have to redo dialogue screens
No. I've played games recently with autosaving after each time you open and close the menu, so a power loss would not result in losing quest progress. Also, Genshin can literally not put you inside dungeons and instead let the story happen on the open world like many other quests in the same game, where at most you'd lose the last 3 to 10 minutes of conversation (which is usually skippable in less than 3 minutes), so the solution is already there from the start. Like, what is the reason they keep moving your character and/or pov around the world when they can just let you walk/teleport there by yourself and interact to start the next section instead? Even if it is a temporary/sectioned map, they can still let you log off and log on back into that area (summer events are a proof of that), so there's really no reason not to save the progress properly every time a section of dialog (of at most 10 minutes) ends.
A substandard visual novel lacking basic features like text speed options at that. At least there's finally text history. After like, 5 years.
Barely any gameplay either
I just. I just want to be able to know when I can back tf out. I have reached the newest patch and I think I'm halfway through but there is SO. MUCH. YAPPING
LEGITIMATELY about six hours of cutscenes LET ME OUT OF HERE PLEASE
Also, you can exit after almost every loading screen. There will be a point on the map to continue the story.
Read the reaction of the community regarding those "yapping".
>Dori
Surely all Dori scenes in 6.1 is just yapping including ones she showed Nefer what she brought from Sumeru and her motivation.
But the point aren't the two above cherry picked characters. Read the post I replied to again. "EVERY quest is just...".
But anyway, you can always quit if you think all of those are yapping. Come on, free yourself, why torture yourself with those mindless yapping amirite? The door out is always open.
The. Writing. Is. Not. That. Good.
Like, the AQ comes to a point where sme says let's chill a bit and then regroup. Ok, sounds go-oh we just go on I see and I still can't control my character.
Just why? If even the charas get a break, why can't I? Also, the closure of the first chapter amd then we JUST CONTINUE??? What was that closing screen even about? It would have been the PURFECT moment to let that end sink in a bit and simmer in it but no, it just goes on.
There are like the lore fanatics who turn every stone and will mindlessly defend bc "it's a story based game", then there are the skippers who would sacrifice their best dps for a skip button but the vast majority to which I belong are in the middle of these 2 extremes, really enjoying the AQ and want to enjoy it like an anime-episode of sorts. Why would hoyo make it so damn unenjoyable for the majoruty of players, sitting through and just waiting for a moment to leave towards end of energy instead of letting us fully enjoying it?
I hate this.
