I mean I think it would be cool. Would be fun to see how they would do it in a co-op setting, but i don’t see how it can be bad for the game

People could barely read the mechanics in events when they are spelled out. You want them to just figure out the raid mechanics AND cooperate?

[We already had one](https://old.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/r7i6ed/3_amber_vs_fellflower/). It was fun, hard and challenging but as always the loud minority complained so it never really got anywhere and we never got one again.

Those were the days
lgn5i20602026-01-17 04:48
Event so old the link even used the old reddit format.

you can switch between new and old reddit by replacing www with old. If you want to see the link in new reddit, remove the old from the url.
I use old reddit for everything. New reddit is utter trash.

Yes. I was just making a snide remark about it. Though I limit old reddit to pc/tablets as reading comment trees on mobile with old reddit is painful.

that's not really a raid. A raid is when you need 2 teams or more because one team isn't enough.

>hard
It wasn't hard though. Even the video shows it lasting not even 1 minute against three embers.
Maybe it was hard when nobody brought a pyro. For most people it was a in-and-out in 30s, go collect rewards.
The other players might just well been bots or not there at all and it wouldn't have made a differnce.
That thing was barely harder than any run-of-the-mill world boss and well below weekly bosses

people despise having to collect coins in co-op
YannFrost2026-01-17 05:27
The game just isn't build for coop. It revolves around swapping characters way too much. Characters are designed to play in a team and be constantly swapped out. You can't do that in coop.
Zzz recently had coop. It was cool as an event, but it gets boring when you just spam auto and then skill whenever things are up.
Even if every player gets to play a full team, because team are so well rounded, everyone do their own things and there aren't roles making the raid boring.
It just won't work.

Forcing me to co-op to complete content in my single player game is never good, no. I do not want to co-op. In general, I feel that multiplayer existing doesn't affect me, so it's fine as an option, but it should always only be an option and never forced and should never lock primogems away. I hate it every time an event forces multiplayer in any capacity.
lgn5i20602026-01-17 14:04
I make sure to whine about MP stuff with every survey. Just like the previous wonderland event.
The new one doesn't involve pvp/match type tasks so they prolly listened on that one.
uptodown122026-01-17 06:06
What kind of raid?
Coop to bring down an enemy?
Or
A huge HP enemy with multiple people chipping its HP away by defeating it in their own world multiple times
UnderstandingLow16192026-01-17 06:52
Most Genshin players have social anxiety. They’re afraid of co-op, even though it’s barely different from the game giving you three AI teammates, but people are still scared anyway.
lostn2026-01-17 07:07
it doesn't make sense for genshin which is primarily a single player game and casual oriented. Requiring coop for combat is bad, and needing to depend on strangers to have a clue what they're doing would be frustrating.
Save it for MMOs.
SoC1752026-01-17 11:52
No, it wouldn't be good for Genshin.
Genshin is a single player game with it's multiplayer just half-a\*\*\*ed stuffed in at the last minute to just have another bullet point for the presentations.
MP should be kept as minimal as possible
fiersome082026-01-17 17:18
No
It’s a single-player game. Why would a single-player game introduce co-op modes like raids? That would only alienate its own player base. If you want co-op, there are numerous gacha games out there that have it, whereas Genshin is one of the rare gacha games that focuses on solo play rather than co-op
