Help with Account log in

So basically I haven't played or logged in for a while, and I want to start playing again after seeing the new Nod-Krai region. I am trying to log in to my account on a new PC, but when I use the email and password I think I remember using in the past, it creates a brand new account. My old account had some older 5 stars I spent money on and I don't wanna lose that (I also don't want to replay the entire story back to the end of Inazuma). I log in with the email on the hoyoverse website and when I check my account over review it says an entirely different UID than the one in the game (the brand new account). I'm really confused and would like help from people on this subreddit. Thanks in advance!

You're probably logging in on the wrong server - looking at the first number on your UID you should be able to see what server you played on (eg, the first number being 6 means you played on the American server).

You can change your server on the login screen by clicking the rectangular box before entering the game. There's only 4, so it shouldn't take too long to sort through.

I've checked all the 4 servers and they seem to all not bring me back to my original account sadly. :(

You might be better off contacting Genshin support from the e-mail you logged in with originally. Since you have receipts from payment history as proof, they should help recover your account. You should be able to contact them via e-mail, a quick google search should find you the official mail.

did you use google to sign up for the old account? irrc using "sign in with google" and manually typing your email address and registering creates two seperate accounts

I was pretty sure I didn't use google but I tried anyways and it just made another new account.

Check your emails for old mails/promos from Genshin

I see receipts of my purchases for geneisis crystals and old promos and they all belong to the email I remember using for my original account.

Check if you are or aren’t clicking “sign in with google” or something similar, for whatever reason that is different than using email and password even though it could be the same email

I tried using sign in with google and it just made another new account, and I know for sure I didn't use any of the other sign in options (X and Facebook) since I don't have either of those, and I also tried apple ID but it also made another account.

Also if I were to give an estimate for how long I was gone from genshin it would probably be 2-3 years, it was when inazuma was the latest region and we were waiting for sumeru to drop.

its very *VERY* likely you're using a different login info/option tbh

i helped my friend setting up a new PC last week and she can log in to her old account without any issue

I started to think this too, since its been a couple of years, but I've found email receipts of in game purchases sent to the email I've been using.

I am american, so this could be a strong possibility. I'm gonna try and contact genshin customer support for this problem. Thanks for your input tho!
