The difference between the face models is subtle yet pretty noticeable

He's got a sharper jawline and cheekbones. I think this is what we expected him to look like when we saw the Fontaine 2D animated promo before his official model was shown. Ig they just didn't have the model template for it yet at that time

They have innovated their models more aggressively in their less popular games and migrated those changes over to Genshin slowly. Weird way to go about things but they don't want to experiment on their cash cow.

Funnily enough he seems a bit younger in the skin compared to old one it feels like we got neuvi in past as his skin sometimes when i use this skin and hope diluc gets his model changed in future if they implement this but i feel like they won't do this to older character model changes

Yep , face on the left is basically his splash art one. Right is a lil bloated face like most older models with oddish proportions which you see throughout the years till Natlan. I like how unique each model is now with slight differences in height/face.

Wow ig I don't blame you people for making such a mistake. Never has any character had any change to their actual face with their new skins. Yelan is the perfect example of that.

If they wanted to change the face, they would've made it a lot more noticeable. If people are comparing by this picture alone, you're doing it wrong. They need to be side by side facing front, then another picture of their profiles, just like mug shots.

The absolute best way is to compare 3D models in a program like blender is you want to be so sure about it.

OP's image isn't the best example but there's been multiple proper comparisons made already and his face actually *has* changed a bit. iirc his (along with the twins) is the first, so Yelan and the rest don't have any differences apart from more polygons.

I’m Aro/Ace, so this is a very rare feeling to me,

But holy cow does the single addition to his hairline make him look hot.
