Am I cooked or is it possible to 36 star the new abyss?

I’ve been trying to 36 star the abyss for several patches now, but I always stop at 12-1. My selection of characters isn’t all that great, although I’m proud of my Flins team. Is there any way to beat it… I just want to feel accomplished 😭😭

Above are the teams that I’m working with now. I tried adding Zhongli to my Yoimiya team, but I kept getting annoyed when the shield wouldn’t work half the time.

P.S. I already plan on pulling for Neuvilette next patch, so I don’t really want to pull for any characters.

The Flins team is already good, but I think maybe try Chasca for the first half instead? Yoimiya isn’t really great especially in this abyss since the enemy has pyro shields.

Ahh no wonder I was struggling so much. Chasca is not built at the moment but i could throw on some decent artifacts for her without farming. What team could work with her?

That team could definitely work once I’ve fully built her. I was even thinking to wait until I pull neuvi and run electro units with him since I already have artifacts and materials for him ready. Thanks for your help!

I'd probably go with Chasca on first side. Flins side should cook it with ease.

Chasca is pretty flexible, but Benny is a solid choice with his atk buff. Fischl/Mona and Durin would be a solid hex core.

bottom half should be very easy. Top half it depends who else you have. I'm not a Yoi player so I can't say whether she can get the job done still. If you used Chevy maybe it will be easier.

Your second team is fine and shouldn't struggle that much, it won't hold you back.

Your first team should be using Chasca. Besides just being a better unit than Yoimiya out of the box (especially non-vape Yoimiya), almost all her damage is buffed by the 75% Charged Attack DMG increase from the leyline disorder. Bennett + Durin is fine, but she also would want a different 4th, out of your options probably Mona (1st choice) or Fischl (2nd choice). idk how close you are to getting 36, but it should get you much closer than your current team.

Chasca definitely did a better job, but unfortunately I didn’t take the time to build her correctly so she’s pretty mediocre. I’ll have to spend a couple days finding better artifacts for her and I’m sure I’ll at least touch 12-3. Thanks!

Go chasca bennet Mona ttds ororon scroll or chasca durin Mona ttds and ororon for first half and what bows do you have for her as depending on it we can see more combinations for her as she can clear this one since many of the abyss first half are single targeted ones

I only have scion of the blazing sun for her. None of my other bows are good for her (rust, fav, so on). I’ve been experimenting with her with only 60/200 on random artifacts and I’m very close to giving up my 36 star goal 😭😭 These bosses get stronger every patch..

Well try to get obsidian set with 50-60 cr to 180-200 ratio for her and this abyss buff still counts for her despite having lvl 1 talents for her as her skill considers as ca damage but multipliers have her skill leveling up focus on crowning or lvl 9 her skill and you can use the bow or get natlan craftable or fontaine craft able if you have a great healer for her to negate the bol as i tried and she did cleared with the abyss with your flins team

Not only is pyro heavy comps bad for topside, an overload comp without chevreuse is already terrible in isolation

That’s true I already have chev built enough for functionality, but I never think to add her in my comps for some reason. I will most likely have to wait until I get better characters because pyro is my strongest element aside from my Flins team.

Chev is the reason these overload teams exist, otherwise overload is a terrible reaction to build a team around. You are better off removing the electro unit with a res shredder like Xilonen or an anemo unit.

You can try Chasca overvape on first half with bennett, ororon and xingqiu/mona.

fischls a lot better than yae especially with durin in that team, id play yoimiya/fischl/bennett( or chev)/durin instead for the 1st half
