running insanely poor on my custom built pc
I recently finished building my first PC. these are the specs: (lmk if I need to specify
other things, I'm not entirely sure what information is important here)
Windows 11
AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-Core Processor
2TB of SSD
16GB Ram (I have 32GB actually but I'm having some other issues with getting the computer to accept 2 ram sticks, so currently only 16)
AMD Radeon Graphics 512MBytes
The game is literally unplayable at any quality higher than lowEST. not low, LOWEST. any higher quality and the lag is at least a full 2 seconds behind whatever movements I make. I am beyond frustrated right now and I don't understand why my computer can't handle it? my iPad pro runs it 1000x better at HIGH quality too which makes me even more frustrated. can anyone give me any ideas on what could be wrong? all my drivers are updated, I changed graphics settings in game, changed settings on my PC itself and set genshins running priority to highest, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and so far nothing has worked. I'd prefer not to have to play the game at the lowest quality so any help would be appreciated 🙃

iGPUs are a part of the CPU, and share system RAM with the rest of the CPU. Unless you mess around with the BIOS settings, the system will dynamically allocate up to half of the total system memory to the GPU.
He's probably getting that 512MB from GPU-Z or something, which is probably just reporting the minimum amount of reserved memory for the iGPU.
In practice, the iGPU has access to way more memory than it can realistically use.
Also, a general notice on selecting parts, if this build was primarily meant to be a gaming PC, then your CPU and GPU are a bit mismatched. The CPU is way faster than what the GPU can keep up with, and gaming is typically GPU limited anyways (exceptions are generally simulation games, like Cities Skylines)
