Is there a reason why Lumine isn't too prominent in promotional art these days?

Maybe the other regions have it and not just the EN global? Idk. Just feels weird because Lumine players make up at least 40% of the mc choice.

I couldnt help but notice even less of her in the last year or so. She only seems to have appeared with the new outfits recently since its obligatory.

Well I guess its because genshin prefers to show Aether as the MC, like in the genshin official videos as well lumine is shown as the rival. So it would makes sence for genshin to continue that.

For me as someone who loves lumine and is my character I wish genshin would have made 2 artworks and youtube videos as well so I can look at them as lumine instead of confusing myself watching them.

I chose Aether and dont expect Lumine to have seperate videos, but I was at least expecting her to appear with the same frequency in art, especially since its easier to create mirrored versions there.

Edit: Actually, I think Lumine has had her own video version with a lantern rite or christmas event It think. I forgot.

She's never been prominent in promo art, but you're probably noticing that they stopped doing the birthday chibis, which they did for both aether and lumine

HoYo designated Lumine as the Abyss Sibling in their promotional material, and the Abyss Sibling hasn’t been prominent in the story, recently.

Fair, but they used to do duo art promotions together, be it for birthdays or with outside companies. I assume this is a cost and time cutting measure as well since they dont want to do alt versions anymore.

One of the reasons is to avoid confusion cause both of them exist in the story
