Do players who spend to own every character also feel like they have to spend just to build them?
I've just recently upped my spending on gacha, and I feel like I dont have a whole lot of excess energy just to farm artifacts since I have to level up characters and talents and farm more mora.
Obviously battle pass helps a lot with this but I feel like if I were someone who had to have every character it would not be enough, and I'd be forced to top up for resin refreshes so I could also actually build them.
If I wanted to do one resin refresh every day maybe then I would feel like I could comfortably farm artifacts, but that's almost 300 USD a year just to feel like you can actually use what you've already spent multiple hundreds just to actually get.
anyway, basically I'm curious about how people find the resin economy when they have every character.

It’s maddening
What I don't like is when you farm that set for over a month and don't get what you need, but sanctifying elixir and dust of enlightenment did a good job of remedying that.
Never ever have I spent money or primos on refreshing Resin.
I have NEVER and will NEVER spend primos on resin refreshes or whatever. Not worth it, because I can still get most primos from endgames!
Then I just play normally and toss my old pieces when new fresh pieces come in.
According to Hoyolab, I have 92 characters.
18 of them aren't built at all. They e got some level for a free standard wish, but that's it. I have another 3 who are just leveled and geared enough for Imaginarium Theater.
That's 71 left, but two of them are the Mannequins, so they don't count.
That means I've been playing since 1.0, and managed 69 (nice) characters built. This is with *high* levels of spending (multiple C6) and consistent use of the battle pass. Breaking it down, that *approximately* one character a month. However, there's a LOT of overlap in actual Domains farmed. For example, several characters are on Golden Troupe (Furina, Fischl, Albedo, Escoffier, Faruzan, and Lisa). That makes it far more efficient, and allows me to hyper invest into the character I want while still passively building others.
Put differently, most of my characters are ranked in the <5% on Akasha with no Resin Refreshes (seriously, don't spend on that).
That said, spending money to C0/R0 every character is a terrible idea. You'll have a lot of variety, but your account will never be *good*, and you'll still struggle with endgame, despite spending. If you want to spend, it's a much better choice to pick who you like, get their best Teams, and do some investment with early Cons and Weapons.
It will save you tons of resources, help you focus on characters you enjoy, and actually build some significant account strength.
Finally, make sure you're using something like [Lootbar ](https://lootbar.gg/a/Dlg90C) if you are spending. It really does add up, even on small amounts. It saved me about $250 on my C6 Columbina pulls.
Do not spend on resin refreshes unless money is no object for you. It's not worth it. You can build everyone if you have some patience so long as you aren't demanding the perfect artifacts for them.
