If the Dottore we fought was the real one, then he survived.
If the Dottore we fought was a segment, then that one died while the real one is still doing his shit
NoOne2152026-01-17 11:00
Dottore does not strike as someone who does not have a back up plan. He had to have something planned.
guinaifen_enjoyer2026-01-17 11:14
Probably transferred his consciousness to many animals and humans like Bondrewd. We saw him do the consciousness transferring experiment....
HumsterMKI2026-01-17 11:21
Dottore is now an Aranara. So he could get closer to the tree!

I don't think so. We know how HoYo is working: if some evil and super powerful ***male*** being would want to change their body it will be young muscular foxian lady
</joke>
DeadenCicle2026-01-17 13:09
I don’t understand lore much. Could he end up transferring his consciousness in Hat Guy after figuring out what he is? I heard people say his segments are based on him.
Gentlemanor2026-01-18 01:00
They are based on him, but Hat Guy's creator is an archon. Dottore wouldn't be able to put his consciousness into a body that is not made by him
No-Engineering12692026-01-17 10:30
It could be...but that would be cheap as hell and make all the retribulations feel not as rewarding.
I Hope we defeated the real onee, even if just because It would feel more rewarding to do so than if that was just a genérico clone
AlaindeshoGT2026-01-17 10:33
He dead. Columbina obliterated him, so we don't have to do it.
She has to deal with that, but she did the right thing. I'd have do the same thing.
HumsterMKI2026-01-17 11:24
>Oblierated
Or hes sent into the same zone as her. And what we seeing now is what Dottore wanted as to see!
The original person who posted the image said this is completely fake, unless?
(No, seriously, I don't want to spread rumors, this is fake. I just find it funny.)
A more reliable evidence tho, remember >!Docttore setting fire on Irminsul!<?
Aegillade2026-01-17 13:06
>!Imagine like 3 patches from now Paimon is like "Man it's a good thing Dottore is gone, who knows what he could have done if he was still alive?" and then it cuts to the image of him burning Irminsul and everyone laughs that that possibility is now gone!<
Neospartan_1172026-01-17 13:13
>! Even if the Morse code is fake, the corners of the screen do fill with the same circuit like imagery that Dottore has going on on his arms with his new form. The message is the same!<
dearmusic2026-01-17 22:28
I mean, even if the message isn't there at all, we all seen the glitches that appeared at the quest complete screen, right? It's a HUGE giveaway that this isnt over yet. The other huge giveaway is that Sandrone still need to come back as a playable character, so it's definitely not over yet.
Ok-Worldliness-73742026-01-17 11:16
I think he send part of him to Irminsul to burn it as it deleted some information from his mind.
The absolute bane of researcher.
HumsterMKI2026-01-17 11:23
Plot twist:
He actually failed for the past 33million cycles. And he gonna succeed this time round!
Ifalna_Shayoko2026-01-17 13:42
Pretty sure dude is toast.
He was, in the end, utterly incompetent. Think about it: bro had the authority over TIME AND SPACE... WTF how do you screw sth. like this up?!.
When they approached me, demanding to know why I do what I do, I'd just tell them:
"Not that kind of movie!" and proceeded to create a space-time rift, sending the attackers into deep space to suffocate.
pascl-2026-01-17 16:44
columbina had authority over the moons, which have authority over life, death, time, etc.
so they were evenly matched.
Ifalna_Shayoko2026-01-17 22:56
Columbina didn't even exist until he yapped and dicked around for so long that the formula could be completed and Bina reintegrated.
He could have nuked us at any time with ease before that.
pascl-2026-01-18 00:05
dottore is very arrogant and self confident. he has always been written with these traits. he has absolute confidence that he is superior over others, and he wants them to know it. like in sumeru, instead of directly attacking the traveler and nahida, he hypnotized everyone in the city to show off. him gaining the power of a god clearly amplified these traits, much like with scaramouche.
so it's pretty in character for dottore to willingly take his time before going in for the kill, especially since he was still trying to get the traveler on his side for most of the fight.
he could have nuked us with ease, but he wanted to take his time, because he was so confident that the formula could not be completed.
Ifalna_Shayoko2026-01-18 00:58
Yeah typical overconfident villain that ultimately makes a complete arse of himself #9386372876 (this isn't exclusive to Genshin).
The trope gets tiresome. It's just plain bad writing, if you ask me.
ejsks2026-01-19 16:48
Is it bad writing? It's been a central part of his entire character since the day he was introduced. It's a very common trope, that I admit.
Dottore is a selfish, arrogant, psychopathic prick, who sees the whole world as akin to cavemen and animals. Of course he's overconfident, he had godlike powers in his palm, and for all he knew he just stopped their Deus Ex Machina, and killed off the only person who was able to summon the only person with the power to defeat him.
misterkalazar2026-01-17 14:09
I wouldn't put past Dottore to fake his own death.
cold-Hearted-jess2026-01-18 04:26
From a writing/metatextual standpoint bringing him back with be horrible
It would invalidate our efforts and the stakes of any future villain defeat
Adblock_Only2026-01-19 08:21
Yeah, same as bringing back Signora or Capitano, it's just in poor taste even if some folks would be happy
