Moon Marrows vs Authority

I'm confident I understand both correctly but some comments on YouTube got me confused again.

What is the difference between the Moon Marrows vs the Authorities? In terms of like, the power they hold rather than what they actually are, since I understand the marrows are like the husks of the moon sisters after their death.

Some peeps say that after the battle against Dottore, Columbina gave away the authorities of the two other moons because she doesn't have the marrows?

I hope someone can clarify for me?

Moon marrow = Moon sister dead body condensed into an orb

Authority = Given domain power/Divinity

moon marrows are a pathway to accessing the Moon's authority, though just picking it up isn't enough to do so. Even Arlecchino's usage doesn't grant her Authority, seemingly just a power boost for her in lore

Columbina did not give away any authority, but she did give away at least the Crimson moon marrow. She doesn't need a way to access it, she has all 3 Moon authorities straight up

Think of it like the Hydro Gnosis versus Neuvillette's sovereign authority over Hydro.

Ok thank god yes. This is what I've been thinking too, I just can't put it into words. Like, she has the actual authorities given to her by her sisters in person. She won't need the marrows because she has their powers.
