I don't use the Transmuter, I'm not going to use the Transmuter, and I don't need this constant prompt on my screen making me all excited I have something new and cool in my backpack!

Why wouldn't you want to craft the free elixir per patch?
eadingas2026-01-17 11:49
I've never used one. I don't care about that stuff, I play for lore and exploration.
Agent_Fluttershy2026-01-17 13:26
Then just feed it a bunch of artifacts and the exclamation point goes away. You only have to do it once per patch. If at any point in the future you change playstyle and want a character you like to deal more damage, then you'll have a bunch of elixir to make whatever set you want.
Elixirs are an extremely limited resource, you can only ever obtain one per patch through this method, please don't discount them because you don't care about them in the moment. You might regret it if you ever need specific artifacts in the future.
Bierzgal2026-01-17 11:43
> I don't use the Transmuter, I'm not going to use the Transmuter
Why? It's a tool that that is pretty much 100% benefit. You feed it 2 artifacts each patch and get a bottle. Simple as that.
Shadow_Trojan2026-01-17 11:48
Wait what ? i'm new. It wants me to spend like 10 x more artifact exp than i have ever owned to make one. How do make one by feeding it artifacts ?
TopChange99932026-01-17 11:50
If you feed it two lvl 20 artifacts it gives u the elixir
Shadow_Trojan2026-01-17 11:51
ah level 20 ones, ok thank you. should be able to cook one up this cycle then
Shadow_Trojan2026-01-17 14:30
is feeding it 2 lvl 20 arifacts cheaper than just putting the Santifying Unction / Essence straight in to make it ?
Bierzgal2026-01-17 11:51
You feed it two level 20 artifacts. That will fill it to 100/100 and give you a bottle you can later craft into something. You do this only once per patch. My recommendation would be to never skip doing it.
Shadow_Trojan2026-01-17 11:51
cheers, will make sure i get onto it
Chippyz782026-01-17 11:53
You need to feed it a loooot of artifacts but in late game, it's very easy. Then it gives you one elixir, which you can use to create an artifact with the main stat and 2 stats of your choosing. If you are new, it isn't that important for you since you probably need to upgrade your talent levels, weapon levels etc. but be sure to do it late game
Shadow_Trojan2026-01-17 12:07
I am lvl 80 about to push to 90 on a bunch of characters, so i should be getting very close
Chippyz782026-01-17 16:23
You should be post Adventure Rank 50 to care about grinding artifacts. If you are, then yeah you can consider putting more resin in artifact domains but remember, always upgrade your weapon and talents before farming artifacts for weeks! Weapons and Talents are where the real dmg come from, especially atk scales need the weapon
Shadow_Trojan2026-01-17 22:54
I am AR 51. I wasn't planning to go full artefact farming. Just enough to use the transmuter this cycle
CrystalInaBox2026-01-18 00:14
yeah, it’s a priority. elixers are insane value. good luck!
eadingas2026-01-17 11:51
I don't have 2 unused 5-star 20-level artifacts just lying around. Wouldn't even know what to do with it. I just don't need a constant reminder for something I don't use. Pretty sure the constant exclamation mark is a bug.
TheFFsage2026-01-17 11:53
Level them up? Do your resources just magically disappear cause if you dont care about meta or anything, you would surely have artifacts lying around and a lot of artifact exp for it
eadingas2026-01-17 11:57
Since I don't care about meta, what would I do with all those elixirs?
TheFFsage2026-01-17 11:59
To get the ping icon removed which you are asking. Yes I agree there should be an option to remove it without using it but since your problem is just the ping icon, just get rid of it by leveling the artifacts and feed to it. Takes 30 seconds if you have all the resources for it
Bierzgal2026-01-17 14:25
Artifacts are not "meta". They are a core game mechanic. You might as well say you don't care about weapons and just use level 1 grays. That's not "meta", that's just the game.
Bierzgal2026-01-17 11:55
Then get them? You can do this in one evening. Maybe two if you have literally nothing. Just burn some resin, pick two trash artifacts and level them up. It's really not that big of deal and it seems like you're just being stubborn. Crafting is one of the best sources of good artifacts in this game. Ignoring it is *very* unreasonable.
eadingas2026-01-17 12:04
I'm stubborn because I play the game my own way and don't care about min-maxing the artifacts? I just don't want the ping always on. Same as I wouldn't want a constant reminder that I need to fish or do a TCG match, or any other game functionality I don't feel like using at the moment.
Then_Following_64252026-01-17 13:26
Surely you have some unused 5 star artifacts. Just level a couple of unused ones up to 20 and toss them in. Takes like 2 minutes.
The ping always being on is not a bug. Out of all people that play this game, more players care about artifacts than not. If the ping was turned off there would be more complaints to put a reminder than there are right now to remove the reminder.
Raanthur2026-01-17 11:52
Isn't feeding it anything higher than lvl 4 just a waste of mora and exp?
Bierzgal2026-01-17 11:58
If you want to save Mora and XP? Yes. But this burns through more 5-star artifacts and I prefer to use those in the Strongbox.
Mitsun2026-01-17 12:18
You don't need to feed it artifacts at all, just feed the artifact exp potions. and these exp potions can be made from 1* to 4* artifacts so you can still save your 5* artifacts for strongbox.
and you can save mora if you feed exp bottles instead of upgraded artifacts.
Raanthur2026-01-17 12:28
Feeding it the exp potions is the most resin-efficient use, when you take into consideration both artifacts and mora
IcySignificance53402026-01-17 12:16
Hell you make a really good fucking point. I've been ignoring the transmuter for the longest time since I have pretty good artifact luck and thus almost never use it, but there honestly is no drawback to making one every patch and saving it for the rainy day when I just can't get the right mainstat. For some reason I also had this misconception that it costed way more materials than it actually does. Thank you stranger!
Dangerous_Jacket_1292026-01-18 11:35
What if you don't care for the bottle?
Double-Orange-53282026-01-17 11:46
It drives my ocd insane when I see it over the miliastra shop every day
JimJames72026-01-17 13:23
It doesn't take many clicks to remove it. Just need to go to the appropriate Miliastra page, then you can continue to ignore it without the annoying red marks
Double-Orange-53282026-01-17 13:45
It gives me false hope that there is something important in the paimon menu like letters or shop reset, which is why I'm so miffed
Dangerous_Jacket_1292026-01-18 11:38
> It doesn't take many clicks to remove it.
It should take 0 clicks. I haven't even unlocked that BS and I still get it.
JimJames72026-01-18 15:40
I mean, I agree with you. I don't care about MW either, and I'd rather not get those notifications.
There is one small bonus to it though. If you level up your mannekins to L10 (inside MW, by playing games), you can then level them up to 90 in Genshin, and get the free standard fates from hitting L20, 50 and 70. So thats 6 free acquaint fates. Levelling the mannekins to 90 is also free, no xp books required.
Depends on how long you've been playing, I guess. If you're a long-term player, those 6 fates are probably irrelevant to you. For newer players, they could be useful. Is it worthwhile? I suppose it comes down to how boring you find the MW games. I did it, and it took me about a week and a half, and yeah I found it a bit of a slog. Haven't touched MW since
DeadLight31412026-01-17 11:47
"I don't like having a salary, please stop paying me!" ass post
TopChange99932026-01-17 11:50
What reason do u have for not using the transmuter? 💔
eadingas2026-01-17 11:58
What reason would I have for using it?
Darkfire13782026-01-17 12:46
Guarantees on set artifact and 2 Sub stats.
Its the only way to get good artifact with any consistency.
Justs feed it a bunch of Artifact EXP and make the ! go away.
Kivels2026-01-17 11:51
You sound like someone who doesn't understand the value of this item...
The reminder benefits most players with zero drawbacks.
And no, there shouldn't be an option to turn off/opt out. It would be foolish to even suggest that.
Dangerous_Jacket_1292026-01-18 11:42
> The reminder benefits most players with zero drawbacks.
A reminder is fine, but it's not just there on reset, it's there permanently until you use it.
> And no, there shouldn't be an option to turn off/opt out. It would be foolish to even suggest that.
Why is it "foolish to even suggest that"? Please do explain the problem with not wanting to engage with the toxic min-maxing part of this game.
Kivels2026-01-18 12:32
Because the value of the item in question is not something you would ever want to ignore.
Many people often don't log in at times and unless you are actively keeping track of what you need to do, the reminder is just that, an active piece of information on the interface to keep people informed that something they should do instead of forgetting about it. Considering the rarity and usage of this item, it is entirely a good thing.
It is foolish. Plain and simple.
Firstly, just because an option can exist does not mean it should. If there is more of a benefit to more people for something to exist, then it has more merit existing.
Secondly, just because a small subset of players don't care about their artifacts and "only play for the story" does not in turn mean there is a toxic culture around min-maxing your equipment.
You are clearly someone who has not played mmo's with high levels of vertical investment. Min-maxing there is brutal. A single piece of poor equipment will get you kicked from a group.
Genshin is different. You want to show off your artifacts online, go ahead. But that's it. The only "toxicity" that exists in this game is the actual process of grinding artifacts and hoping for good substats.
Aaaannnd guess what the transmuter does? It alliviates that process.
Don't be foolish. Think before you feel the need to respond without the proper information on-hand.
Dangerous_Jacket_1292026-01-18 12:58
> Because the value of the item in question is not something you would ever want to ignore.
Why do you feel the need to tell people how to play?
> Many people often don't log in at times and unless you are actively keeping track of what you need to do, the reminder is just that, an active piece of information on the interface to keep people informed that something they should do instead of forgetting about it. Considering the rarity and usage of this item, it is entirely a good thing.
I have like 30 of them and I'm one of the people that doesn't log in very often, what the hell are you smoking?
> Firstly, just because an option can exist does not mean it should. If there is more of a benefit to more people for something to exist, then it has more merit existing.
"No, it's totally fine that you're forced to use this thing you don't care about!" isn't the zinger you think it is. The rest is just you posting rationalizations.
> Secondly, just because a small subset of players don't care about their artifacts and "only play for the story" does not in turn mean there is a toxic culture around min-maxing your equipment.
The fact you think this is even related is insane to begin with, but the fact you think story players are a minority proves that you're one of the toxic min-maxers. I have no kind words left for you.
> You are clearly someone who has not played mmo's with high levels of vertical investment. Min-maxing there is brutal. A single piece of poor equipment will get you kicked from a group.
I'm literally in the middle of a Savage raiding session in FFXIV right now and have cleared several ultimate raids.
Kivels2026-01-19 01:13
I give no shits of your kind words fool.
Telling someone how to play the game is one thing. Telling someone that they are being irrational is another. Rationality is based not on a singular situation but on the general consensus of occurrence.
Firstly, value is intrinsic in this instance. Not given based on the holders value of it.
Secondly, you refer to the majority of players, who mind you are min-maxing, as toxic? Why? Even the percentage of the people who play genshin just for story and exploration have to eventually do to a large degree of farming artifacts for the express purpose of improving their characters performance to a specificity of min-maxing. Story progression is impossible otherwise, even with built teams. That is simply due to the average gamer being quite terrible. Good artifacts compensate for this. Because that is whatt he vast majority of genshin players are. Average.
Thirdly, leaving the western audience out of it, just look at Asia my confused sir. You seem to be wholly clueless on how the vast majority of us outside of the west play and conceptualize progress in this game.
You can have 100 of the requisite items available and not use them. That means you are choosing to fully disregard an in game system designed to assist in character improvement and progression at your own choice, even in the face of it circumventing the rng issues.
Thirdly, I am well aware many players engage in the story and events as a large part of their time in genshin. However, resin goes somewhere, and after characters are leveled and talents are done, artifacts are where an enormous (thus majority) of the genshin community spends it's time.
While I seriously doubt your credentials, if I take a moment, just a moment, to believe you, them you are truly a fool beyond words. To participate at the level you do and not realize or willfully acknowledge the value of what is being presented here is just wilful ignorance or a testmentament to how hard and far you were dropped at birth.
Take your kinds words elsewhere. And if you still fail to reason, the rest of the comments on this post should help you realise I am not alone in recognising this sheer stupidity.

Right, and you're doing the former, not the latter.

Right. And you're not a majority on your own.
> Firstly, value is intrinsic in this instance. Not given based on the holders value of it.
You might as well have said "I'm being objective, you're being subjective!". No, it has no intrinsic value. It's a worthless item in a videogame. Sit back down.
> Secondly, you refer to the majority of players, who mind you are min-maxing, as toxic?
No. I'm referring to the min-maxers, a small minority, as toxic. Because they are. You just think you're a majority, don't you? Min-maxers are a minority and always have been.
Using FFXIV as an example: Yes there are min-maxers even in the final tiers of the high-end raiding scene. But the vast majority of raiders don't care much about gear, and even then, it's less than 2% of the entire playerbase that engages with Savage or above to begin with.
> Even the percentage of the people who play genshin just for story and exploration have to eventually do to a large degree of farming artifacts for the express purpose of improving their characters performance to a specificity of min-maxing.
As one of those people (along with OP): No, we're not. You're talking about "improving their characters performance". For many people if you can clear the content it's fine. Optimization isn't something most people care about.
> Thirdly, leaving the western audience out of it, just look at Asia my confused sir. You seem to be wholly clueless on how the vast majority of us outside of the west play and conceptualize progress in this game.
The same truths are still true in Asia.
> You can have 100 of the requisite items available and not use them. That means you are choosing to fully disregard an in game system designed to assist in character improvement and progression at your own choice, even in the face of it circumventing the rng issues.
Correct. Because I don't care and that crap has no value.

Hilarious how you try and grandstand saying "I don't believe you! You must have been dropped at birth!" without any actual arguments. Optimization doesn't matter: Clearing the content does. Besides, even without "BiS gear for the ultimate", I managed to parse purple on my first ultimate clear. Gear is just stat-sticks, it doesn't compensate for a lack of skill.
> Take your kinds words elsewhere. And if you still fail to reason, the rest of the comments on this post should help you realise I am not alone in recognising this sheer stupidity.
You have nothing to offer but hollow insults and thesaurus-approved ways of saying "I'm right you're wrong lol". So painfully pretentious and 0 self-awareness.
Dangerous_Jacket_1292026-01-18 11:37
Same bro, I hate it. I don't care for relics or optimization. Those aren't why I play Genshin. I just want to explore, I don't care for all this nonsense.
eadingas2026-01-18 15:34
Wow people here really hate it if you don't play the game their way.
