Weapon banner fate point decision.

I got aquila favonia from the weapon banner.

I kinda want both featured weapons. So logically if i had wishes, it's better for me to reset the fate point.

Since I'm guaranteed both weapons now, I'm not sure which weapon should I set path to, if i do reset.

I want ineffa sig cause i like her more than columbina and its the best overall dps polearm, but I already have 3 5 star polearms that's good on her. But also columbina sig is good on her and neuvilette.

So should i reset and hope to get both with the 80 something wishes i can make before the banner goes away or just not reset and get columbina sig or just skip it entirely wait for another weapon banner with this limited weapon guarantee?

ineffa is more flexible with teams and bina can just get by with prototype amber

if you have enough energy to get all ults withot fav - amber is better, since hp buffs hydro dps. It's all about balance and it barely matters outside of just getting ult

I haven’t really tested her much yet (outside of exploration) but I’ll build another prototype amber for her and see how it goes.

I’m also busy farming artifacts for her and picking flowers (she’s 80) so I don’t know yet what her actual build will be and whether she’ll need the extra ER or not.

you arent guaranteed both weapons, if you reset that fate point goes away

They mean they’re guaranteed either limited weapon since they lost to a standard weapon. So it’s smart to reset if they actually want both weapons.

The idea is, if he loses to another limited weapon, the next will be also guaranteed by fate point.

But he is. If you dont get a banner weapon next one is guaranteed to be 1 of the 2. So if you are planning to get both weapons anyway, and get a standart weapon as your first 5 star, you should reset your fate point.

If he gets the one he chose with the reset, then he can choose the 2nd one and proceed as normal. Result: 2 or 3 5* pulls

If he doesnt get the one he chose, he can continue and get the selected weapon.
Result: Only 2 5* pulls

However if you were to continue as it is (with 1 fate point rightnow). You would have to get the selected weapon, then select the other and continue
Result: 2 or 3 5* pulls

This shows that statistically resetting has higher chance to result with lower pulls since in 1 case it only requires 2 5* pulls and in other it has a chance to be 2.

Yes they are. They lost the 75/25, they are guaranteed one or the other. If they reset the point, they have a better chance of getting both. If they don’t, they will get Nocturne.

Yes, you should reset if you want both for a better chance. But 80 wishes left is not really a good idea.

i'd go ineffa's weapon cos her weapon buffs team lunar dmg and does more vs her best f2p weapon, when compared to bina's bis vs her best f2p weapon (r5 pamber). bina's bis is mostly personal dmg buff and r5 pamber is alr pretty solid for her. if u set the path to ineffa's bis u will lose that fate point in the pic but still be guaranteed one of the two weapons, if u keep that fate point and keep it locked on bina's bis then ur next 5 star is guaranteed going to be bina's bis

Yes, see my post a couple weeks ago in this sub, this is akin to the Monty Hall door problem. You increase your chances of getting both by switching your point.

While it’s true that switching your fate target gives you a better chance at both weapons, the principles at work are not at all the same as a Monty Hall problem, and instead rely on the specific mechanics of the wish system.

Yes, you get better chance, the problem is: do you have the ability to pull 2 weapons? If yes then do it, if no then to the next question.

Do you prioritise Bina or Ineffa’s weapon? If Bina then you are risking getting Ineffa’s only.

if you reset you have a slightly better chance at getting both weapons in 2 pities than if you don't reset. It could still take 3 though. What you want to hope for is to LOSE the 50/50 (get the one you didn't set a path for). That will guarantee you get both weapons in 2 pities. If you win (get the one you set the path for) you are back to 37.5/62.5 to get the last weapon, and you can even get a standard weapon again.

If you don't reset it, you're guaranteed to get both weapons within 3 pities. You can still get it in 2 pities but you would need to win a 37.5/62.5.
