Anyone else realised they are doing their rotation wrong and fixed them after playing DPS Test DUMMY?
I have always wanted to test some of my team’s dps and this specific dps calculator in Wonderland has made my dream come true.
For example, Chasca has always been hard to calculate because of her bullet conversion. With DPS Dummy, I am finally able to calculate how my Chasca would perform in my hypercarry Chasca team.
However, Seeing my C0R1 Chasca only doing 110k dps with C2R0 Furina, C6 Bennett and C6 Iansan made me realised I am a literal dummy. I then looked up some info here on reddit, realised I should NA once after Q E on Bennett then Immediately E Q with my Iansan.
And with this small change, I lifed the dps from 110k to 130k when the majority of the reaction was electro charge and even up to 140k when it’s mostly vape(tested around 10 times, one rotation of 20seconds).
Just wanna share this bit here and see if anyone has similar experiences lol. Hope yall have a great day :p

Just a tip for everyone who uses this: you should run a long test to get any meaningful results, as this reduces the variations that the game system has: critical hits, TTDS, Widsith, energy, rotation issues, reactions, etc. I suggest at least a 90 second test, with 120 seconds being ideal so you don't rush any wrong conclusions with this tool.
Abyss dummy should be 90 second rotation test since thats the goal time to finish an Abyss side. While Stygian test should be 120 seconds since thats the maximum time.
Won't account for mechanics, but thats fine.
And there's no way to detect ER issues with just one or two rotations. It takes 3-4 for the problems to start showing up.
Like Bennett would literally be twice as powerful as he currently is with level 1 artifacts, and you can't correctly weigh Atk/Crit/Dmg% buffs without correct artifact stats
That 33% chance can make a solid 20% difference in DPS for my team. 120s a few times showed the new average - before I remembered it was a thing I was so confused as to why some showed drastic swings in DPS when I did *everything* exactly the same. The entire team has 95-100% Crit rate. Lol (Jahoda being the exception, but her contribution is low.)
But I still wants to see how much DPS I do with unga bunga
Waiting for Miliastra to get access to cutscenes so they can implement past temporary events on their own since hoyo decided they won't do that themselves lol
It also helped me get some interesting results regarding Skirk’s teammate builds. TotM was less than 2% better than a regular GT build on Furina for me, and it only surpassed GT once I actually improved my Skirk combo enough. I would’ve thought the difference was much larger from what people say.
N2D (x2) N2Q. This part is pretty simple to execute
N2D (x2) N3W. Walk instead of dash, honestly I haven't been able to do that properly since my walk cancel takes longer than I'd like.
I think doing everything fast enough you can repeat the second step.
Then N2CD to absorb more Rifts, and N2D N3. I might've missed something but I think that's the general idea. Basically the idea is Skirk's first 2 NAs are the strongest part of her combo, so ideally you want to do that as much as possible. However you can't dash more than twice in a short time frame, so you need to do something before you can dash twice again (her burst and walk cancels).
Realised how much skill issue I had and how much I was getting carried by my good characters and good builds. Like what do you mean my c2r1 mavuika deals the same damge (sometimes even less) as someone's c0r1 mavuika who know how to play
Seeing a c0r1 mav in a 2 cost team do 208k dps while my c2r1 mav 5 cost team only does 160k was insane. Im not learning the awful bike combos anyway but it helps with tempering expectations on the dire clears people do. It also exposed how much of a fraud my favourite wanderer is lol
https://overlay.girlglock.com That's the one I use alongside https://github.com/girlglock/input-overlay/releases but you can also use https://github.com/univrsal/input-overlay which is what most streamers use.
Also, if you want to see my mavuika urself look in: [https://akasha.cv/profile/701576263?build=3be7047cafaaa1508ebcef2a128fb118](https://akasha.cv/profile/701576263?build=3be7047cafaaa1508ebcef2a128fb118)

Next would be neuv since he was c1r1 with his premium team. 130k dps
Then it was c1r1 xiao on his premium team. 125k dps
Then c0r0 mavuika on her premium team. 120k dps (very inconsistent though. Idk why since she has 100% cr).
The res display is also super useful as I realized I’m basically never swirling the right element and should probably just stop using vv supports lol
Mavuika seems challenging to play so I don't want her at all, but I believe you can figure it out and as long as you're having fun, it's okay <3
Jokes aside I'm glad not to be the only one with this problem :D
Sometimes she's hard to control in bike form, but it's soo fun to drive up a mountain (or fly over a canyon) & save lots of stam! (Esp in Natlan, where you can swap for their boosts mid-air etc etc.)
For areas that are less forgiving if I overshoot the landing, or need absolute control in the air, I use Wonderer (the puppet guy), Chaska, or Ifa. 🥳🙏🏽
(& if I just wanna fly forever in Natlan, use Kennich + your usual flyer, cuz Kennich's "aiming mode" allows you to recharge your Natlan-swap skill. 😊)
I’m…..not even using them anymore except when *desperate* in Stygian or when in Theater. I was able to clear Dire Pancake in 94s….which I’m sure is *awful* (for the level of investment - paired with c0r1 Kazuha and c0 Xilonen.)
I pretty much c6r1 only because I was *crazy* lucky (420 wishes, 280 more for c2r1 Citlali) and so I could ignore ‘skill’. At the time I thought my build was awesome! She’s ‘only’ top 25% in Akasha, and that’s a recent development. She was top 58% a year ago.
It's more obvious on the weekly gosoythoth fight, if you do your rotation right and crit your vapes (with C0R0) you can easily one cycle but if not then you'll have to deal with the OHKO check.
I’m not sure how to change teams without quitting, though.
The dps test will only be run when the content forces me to.
Contextless benchmarking is cool, but if you want real optimization to the T, then go set out for a speedrun competition.
Personally, as long as I am not in "missed by 1 second" situation, I wouldn't bother optimizing a "rotation".
In case of SA, it hasn't been happening for so long.
In case of SO, it's more about getting the exploit work with alternative teams.
In case of IT, we're battling card RNG rather than optimizing "rotation".
All I know is I end up with an aoe death field and I get to send columbina out again to pretend shes doing all the damage herself:p
the ranking is indeed "correct", if you have a top1% you likely have a better built character than a top10%, but if you don't have the supports and weapons, your top1% will be doing less dmg than many top 10%+

Its a really fun mode to test your teams out and see what works and what doesnt, and also optimise rotations. Its been really fun
And holy shit does Fischl do more damage then I expected
Isn't that actually good amount of damage for them? How high it was supposed to be?
It kind of falls apart when comparing to other accounts, and has created a rush of snobby people frankly. “Oh well mine does 500k dps” etc.
I was already doing reasonably good rotations, but I’ve had a lot of fun (and reality check moments) ranking my teams by rough DPS. It reinforced what I already knew in some cases (my Varesa overload and Arlecchino melt teams are my best), but also surprises.
Fun surprise - I can make an Arlecchino vape team with Columbina, Ineffa, Yelan (okay not cheap) that does more damage than my Arle melt team (which has a C2 Citlali).
Bad surprise - any old teams lmao. Like my C3R1 Raiden hypercarry team with C6 Sara, Bennett, and Kazuha doing like 50k dps. Or Morgana doing 20k.
C3 r1?
C6 sara
How in the everlasting fuck is that real?
Her team had around 95k DPS compared to Nefer premium which hit 143k. I know I'm comparing a very old character to a new one but it's still pretty funny that a c6 five star is doing less than a c0 one.
It *did* require c2 Ineffa to skip her skill (half second per rotation), then use 3x mini-burst instead of big burst and 2 or 3 mini. Then just being *super* fast and precise.
I tried to do the c2 time-save with Sucrose, but the ER for the team worked differently (plus no fav), so Ineffa couldn’t skip her skill anymore. The time I’d lose waiting for her burst (or dps lost doing it every other rotation) made it worse than Jahoda.
Theoretically when Jahoda gets Elegy on the next Mondstadt Chronicle I’ll need to give Ineffa some extra ER. She’s currently at 165% and it’s just *not enough* without Fav somewhere. I’ll have to craft an Attack sands with Crit/ER for her…currently she’s at 85/240 with 165% ER. My goal is 90/225+ with 175+% ER. Her current sands has low ER and low Crit Damage. It was the only piece I could find that had at least Crit dmg and EM (double def, ew).
When Ineffa has enough ER and Jahoda has Elegy I’ll have to retest the difference. Sucrose will likely be faster again, but a similar DPS. It should be within 5%, however the Evenstar-Sucrose used before *and* after Flins will probably still be *a bit* better. The time will be the same as Jahoda. I only have r1 Evenstar, so likely still within 5% DPS.
Also, I’m not using Sucrose. I LOVE my c6 Jahoda!!! And the healing feels mandatory. Ineffa’s shield is too weak for me. I plan to get Jahoda lv90 *someday* (likely not for several patches since I’m **starved** for resources while collecting every new character.) Currently she’s level 80 and doing around 500-700k damage per rotation.
Sucrose allows the other three to do more damage, but Jahoda deals a *surprising* amount of damage! So she makes up for most of the difference when fully built - *and heals*. However, it’s a *much* higher investment than just a simple c0 lv70 talent 1/1/1 Sucrose.
Also note: c3r1 Flins, c6Elegy Jahoda, c2r1 Ineffa, *c6r1* Columbina is the team in mention. (Currently lacking Flins’ 3rd con and r1 as well as Elegy.) So even 10% less DPS to allow Jahoda *and healing* is still a team with 500k+ DPS.
I'm Raidone.
(Ay/Fur/Ye/Sco)
I also found that the Raiden Overload team I’ve been focusing all my resin on for the past few weeks barely breaks 60k 🫠
I’m confused because I have well built supports too, all 4-stars c6 with all the necessary talents at level 9/10, strong artifacts… I double checked rotations too, but still there just seems to be a lack of damage. So either I’m just bad or the power creep is just that insane
The DPS tester is such a nice QoL to have for bettering your teams... makes me wonder why HoYo never bothered doing something like this in the past 5 years. Its funny seeing half of the people in my Miliastra lobbies playing the DPS tester.
