Columbina is my favorite 'Archon level' character
[6.3 AQ Quest spoilers]
After finishing the story quest, columbina quickly became one of my favorite 'archon' type characters for a simple reason- she was exactly what her character promised.
She was presented to us as a 'moon goddess' and our playable columbina is exactly that and more- the holder of trilunar authority and a true moon goddess whose moon descended onto Teyvat.
I was prepared for the usual genshin fakeout- where they present a character as one thing and give us another as the playable form. Raiden wasn't the 'true form of Ei, she is a playable puppet. Furina isn't the 'true' hydro archon, she is her human form. Even Mavuika and Nahida had aspects of their power downplayed because they were 'past their prime' or new rebirths.
I'm not saying they don't all feel like archons, and they're all characters I love to play, but genshin very often seems to write in some story aspect to avoid giving us a pure and complete archon level character at the peak of their power.
In that sense, watching Columbina come into her own, completely embodying 'moon goddess' was such a pleasant surprise. I was totally expecting them to use the mystery of her origin to tell us she was actually some human moonchanter, or an evolved kuuhenki or something.
