How exactly are you meant to explore Natlan?
I feel like I’m missing something because everybody says that Natlan is fun to explore and easy to get primogems from, however I just don’t understand how to explore it. It’s not the mechanics, I just simply cannot seem to find chests or even oculi anywhere. I quit Genshin initially when Natlan came out because I hated Natlan’s exploration and now that I’m back I still don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I have to be missing something right?? I have 100%ed (or at least 80-90%ed) every single area in the game including the newest Nod-Krai expansion, chasm, etc and I love exploring but I just do not understand how to explore Natlan. None of Natlan exploration is over 40% and no matter how long I spend looking around I cannot find any chests, no puzzles, no time trials, nothing. I just spent the last hour exploring and only found about 3 chests total in Natlan, yet everybody claims the exploration is great for farming primos. I know that I can use the treasure compass but I’ve never had this much trouble exploring a region without it. It’s just simply not fun for me and I’m not getting any rewards so it’s not even worth it to force myself to try anyway. Am I actually missing something or is that just how it is??

So it just lets you endlessly use those units movement abilities almost pretty much 100% uptime.
Basicly everyone thats not Masters of the Nightwind tribe Citlali\\Ororon zooms around the map.
But once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier to spot them.
And the game often forces you to use saurians or Natlanese characters. Understanding of what different saurians can do really helps.
then there are some puzzles you’ll need to learn. get flying through rings or hit balloons with ququsaurs, explode orb rocks or glowing squares on the ground with tepletisaurs, “scan” magical ink with iktomisaurs, charge against special rocks or through race rings with the electro saurians, jump on water trampolines with hydro saurians or even throw something like a bomb in some sort of target with the dendro ones.
rest is just regular chest hunting, but you might have to complete world quests to unlock areas
If not then that is why.
- No one *ever*
The only people who would ever say this are dramatic shit stirrers who want to pretend the only complaint anyone had about Natlan was about skin color.
Natlan is awful to explore. It was *purposefully* bad to explore to push you to buy the characters with exploration gimmicks. The saurians do the bare minimum needed and felt specifically bad to use.
I actually like most of the characters, but Natlan was still dark times for Genshin.
Cause if you don't have the Natlan 5*, then the exploration is pure sh*t.
