Thousands-year old piece of tech from the combined engineering efforts of the unified human civilization that they couldn't even fire until they got their very special bullet back, vs a project built from scraps by an eight year old
Sorry but I gotta give the W to Aino, here
Obvious-Childhood9102026-01-17 23:12
Plus a Cannon vs a Laser
Veeeeery big difference.
Commercial-Waltz-8472026-01-17 23:56
The arrow was not meant for repeated use but for this one moment. Ainos cannon is meant to be used regularly.
allmistake22026-01-18 05:51
Also wasn't it implied in some text that Voyager contributed to the construction of both the arrow, and the Sampo? I feel like it's not the most fair comparison.
corecenite2026-01-17 23:50
the fact that a very innocent kid was able to make a nation saving cannon in the first place just screams "nahh dog".
NeoLedah2026-01-18 00:01
It's literally the Sister Ray from FF7
PrimaryAde92026-01-18 00:27
Wtf n that the headquarter or a giant death ray on top of it ?
YingXingg2026-01-18 02:36
Is this from a quest or smth?
Russell-Sprouts32026-01-18 02:53
Yeah, the Illuga world quest
suzumaki7422026-01-18 03:57
Its reloading time is so so great since you need to take the projectile back from the site of impact and load it again.
Aino can fire her cannon multiple times in a single day or sustain fire for a longer time.
Also One is basically an ancient tech built to fight calamities while the other is a school girl's project who does it for the love of science...

Wait wat. So it's an...arrow-like gun? Well I mean sorta because even arrows it's not mandatory to take them back due to a lot of reasons.
That is incredibly funny lol.

Honestly like.....the best overall artillery piece used by the factions and nations has gotta be the Liyue lightweight guizhong ballista that are used by the Millelith during the battle against Beisht
Light, expendable, can actually (somewhat) damage a god in large enough numbers, and best of all your average soldier can use it instead of having to go through hoops
floricel_1122026-01-18 07:40
When they kept describing it as an old bow capable of destroying this ancient evil, I was thinking "so, it's like a Guizhong ballista?". I wasn't expecting THIS beauty
drnotsomuchfascist2026-01-18 05:58
I did all side quest and exploration but still don't started archon quest out of procrastination
KamihanaShyurin2026-01-18 07:40
I wish we could use this to yeet the Traveler in Doom Slayer style honestly. Even one of their dialogue mentioned that.
Flush_Man4442026-01-18 08:22
It has a physical shell, that is a big plus.
Golden-Owl2026-01-18 08:32
*Gilgamesh had never seen such bullshit*
UltG2026-01-18 10:41
ONORE ONORE ONORE ONORE
JaroNightmare2026-01-18 09:33
It looks more sleek and well rounded but that's the only win it takes compared to Aino's work. She builds from scrap materials, that's why her stuff looks a bit more janky but...
It was an epic shot though, that world quest was fun. Another one that could've used some dub.
Anadaere2026-01-18 10:05
Ea? That looks closer to Rhon ngl
solidfang2026-01-18 10:06
If I had a nickel for every time a city in Nod Krai was built around a giant gun, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
DungeonEnvy2026-01-18 18:33
The experimental design bureau ALSO shoots a giant laser(straight down, but still)
Ok_Way_29112026-01-18 10:37
it looks more like a Caladbolg II than Ea
Acktually if you're referring to the attack itself, the attack is Enuma Elish - the star of creation that split heaven and earth
Axheron2026-01-18 13:51
The way I scream laughed maniacally when I saw the base turn into this ridiculous cannon! Thank you NodKrai for somehow being so ethereal and also having more cannons per square acre than any other region LOL
