This is why I hate new players
People like this ruined the original Genshin experience for me. Back in the days, the compass didn't show the treasure icon. You still need to explore around making the experience feel rewarding, even though their chest reward are shit. Now compass (only nodkrai) show all treasures and even the culus, and people still complaining.
I think Genshin should stop being open world and turn to stage like menu, like early HI3 and other gacha game.

Look at the Mini Map, the treasure compass is active
Yes, I understand that often new features retcon old efforts to encourage greater play and discovery, but more-veteran players can always choose to not utilize those items, if they don't wish. But I'm still glad these newer features and QOL improvements are being introduced. I know several non-gamers who've gotten into Genshin (including a 65yo coworker) who appreciate the functionality.
Perhaps I just find the phrase "why I hate new players" a bit harsh. Yes, this poster in the picture is definitely a little whiny, but assuming it's not ragebait I think they should be left to their thoughts.
This reminds me of people in society in the form of life struggles. The notion of giving the disadvantaged a leg up is against their purist views, and so they in turn vote against their own best interest and we as a society are held back.

It's so incredibly important to me, as a self-proclaimed MiHoYo superfan, that people of all skills, abilities, backgrounds, and knowledge levels get to experience MiHoYo games. If additional features, difficulty modifiers, or other additions allow more people to experience the game >!(my tears for Focalors' sacrifice, the adrenaline-induced fear of the Musou no Hitoutachi, my confusion during the Sumerian samsaras, my awe at the appearance of Khaj-Nisut)!<, then I'm all for it.
The age of forcing others to struggle because it's somehow viewed as character-building is necessarily over. Art of all forms should be accessible. There are artforms with greater challenges for those who wish to feel the pain again. The developers adding these features is a willful demonstration of their desire to connect with more people, and I applaud that.
I know sentimental enabling attitudes get downvotes, but I prefer to pull for the positive. :)
Also i still do not use the compass as soon a anew region is released ,i explore get the chest during my journey and only when i am at 90-95% use the compass, this is what i did in the past and what i still do it with the new compass,
so in the end is a matter of choice, you can still have your old genshin experience.
Furthermore the original experience was **without the use of** compass since the first two region compass was released with 1,1 patch.
