I’m really excited to see how they show the worst post-nap hangover in history
Ok not to have too much sympathy for the heavenly principals since they’re pretty awful, but imagine waking up from a super long nap and discovering (mega spoilers):
\- Someone tore a hole in your firmament and swapped your cool custom moon with the real moon
\- so many people know about the fake sky and the things you wanted to make secret
\- the hydro dragon you conquered has his powers back and the oceanid people you wanted to punish are immune to the primordial sea now
\- your management staff is a mess: one archon lives in a meditative world, one gave up her power, one is a drunken wandering bard, one hates you, one retired, and the only 2 doing their jobs still aren’t your biggest fans
\- even the shades are making sketchy deals and flubbing their jobs
\- the people you cursed with immortality are weaponizing that immortality against you
\- there is a new descender in town and not only are they messing with your plans, it’s kinda lowkey your own shade’s fault since they’re the one who trapped them there.
\- even the sinners are getting redemption arcs and Rhinedotter’s creation is a cute lovable dude now.
I just love that we’ve spent the past few years slowly messing up HP’s entire world system including literally their fake sky and they’ve just been napping. Gonna be a rude awakening for the evil space colonizer.

Gold's creation is a corpse on Dragonspine! Except if you are talking about Albedo.
(One of the wilder/sillier theories about heavenly principles given what we find out at the end of the current AQ).
The dragon lords being ai & the digital nature of the world, the dragons explaining how the base unit of the world is computronium, the way irminsul functions like a database and can update records, the previous descriptions of the heavenly principles as being androgynous and having "their functions ruined" during the war of funerary flame already made it sound like the HP is something inanimate.
The fact the spaceship is described as looking for a habitable planet for the twins, that it is carrying a genetic vault (the ark of humans from a doomed planet that hp brings to Teyvat). Also the spaceship is capable of terraforming a planet to make it suitable for the twins to live on.
I'd be surprised if this theory is wrong
The second would be why they would let the twins be? If HP really is the AI, why would they let one sibling sleep for years (possibly millennia) while the other is an amnesiac that gets manipulated? The ship stayed in Nod Krai for a long time, and was still there during the Cataclysm. It was only removed afterwards, which means that HP was likely still active, and they knew about it. Why? They never bothered to interfere with the siblings at any point during their time in Teyvat? Wasn't their priority the siblings in the first place?
WHEN DID WE FIND THIS OUT!?!?
And Asmoday missing also makes sense. What could be worth betraying Phanes for? Becoming a servant of your Master's Master. Either Paimon is part of Phanes or Asmoday, but either way, the spaceship has something to do with Phanes
The crew wakes up. They're already not in a great mood. Then they find out they're not in our solar system. Mood worsens. Then they find out they have to do extra work. Mood reaches never-before-seen levels of badness.
Celestia is going to wake up exactly the same way. They're going to be expecting a different scenario that would have been way less work.
Why do you think they are awful? HP was only making decisions to the best of its abilities to keep Teyvat running.
>The Lord of the World within the eggshell drew a false veil to shut out the true, bedeviled skies,
>**Obscuring dread that once robbed kings of sleep, even those who held dominion over beasts.**
Based on this and The moon sisters saying the HPs use violence in response to civilizations testing their limits, don't be surprised if their conquest is depicted in a morally gray fashion. I'm not defending it but I just think realistically this is where they're heading.
Even if Nibelung did manage to keep his Abyssal powers in check, with how fast the dragon civilization was advancing, it was only a matter of time before Teyvat itself gets overflowed by the Abyss (read: Forbidden Knowledge).
Best case scenario, the whole of Teyvat would have been converted to Phlogiston like the other ending shown in Natlan WQ. Even if that's the case, I don't think you could consider that as "running perfectly fine".
"We came to realise that out guest had a growing desire to change and dominate this world" (when he initially preached about coexistence, but that I didn't take a shot of. Though, we have an in-game transcript for a reason)
"Later, we discovered that he bore an almost paranoid hostility towards the desire of certain lifeforms to seek enlightment. Or maybe he feared them"
"They would cast down celestial nails to punish the civilizations below" (so the celestial nails weren't used to simply contain abyssal corruption like people theorized. Well, they also conveniently have that function, but it wasn't their primary use)
In the murals where the Snow-Tombed Starsilver was originally located, there's also some sort of pillar / nail structure next to the summit of the mountain, with Celestia being right on top. On the right side of the mural, you can also see the king pointing towards the summit, and the little figures seemingly carrying something behind them. It's perhaps a depiction that they are moving in towards their newly established home. The nail could then have been part of the so called "help" from the divine envoys.
The nail then fell when HP went into hibernation mode.
>**Canon:** Later, we discovered that he bore an almost paranoid hostility towards the desire of certain lifeforms to seek enlightment.
**Canon:** They would even cast down celestial nails as manifestations of their power, to punish the civilizations of the world below.
\[...\]
**Canon:** ...Right. Their rules brought order, but the price people paid for merely testing the limits of those rules was far too great.
You can run Teyvat while ruling with an iron fist, they aren't mutually exclusive. I'm not saying he's not overdoing it, but that he's doing it with the intention of keeping things in check. That doesn't make him inherently awful.
From the moon goddess's point of view, it would seem that way. But notice how when Aria said Nibelung came back, she did not explicitly mention that Nibelung came back, corrupted by the Abyss? Of course she wouldn't, because the moon sister do not know about it yet, not to mention the dangers that come along with it.
The new character skin has some text info about something related to this.
>!Phanes is the spaceship's AI meant to find a suitable world for the twins. Asmoday probably realised she fucked up by trapping her Master's Master and that's why she went into hiding and helping behind the scenes. The Shades are deathly loyal to HP, and what would make such loyalty waver, the Master of their Master. The reason the shades were created to begin with!<
Like Teyvat's fate is supposed to be predetermined right? Then what if all of this, that has happened, was also predetermined to happen. And they are just sitting there spectating the show. And I know shades also said they are sleeping but what if they also don't know it all.
Imagine how powerful that person would be, who not only rewrote the laws of the world, the highest power of the old world, the moons, did not affect him, and allowed them to stay in his sky, and is the sole reason of all the nature and fate in Teyvat. So, I don't think whatever has happened till now posed a threat to them.
Also, only Descenders are the ones who have the ability to change fate. We are so far in the story, but currently Travelers have never taken things into their hands. What I mean is, yes we helped them in doing multiple things across nations, but whatever happened was done by Teyvatians themselves. Traveler did not initiate any of that. So, I believe, whenever Traveler will start the rebellion against Celestia, most probably at the end of Snezhnaya (after learning Celestia's truth there), that's what will make Heavenly Principles intervene.
Fuck around and find out lol
They dealt with Sovereigns before and doing it with one might be doable.
And Shades (Ronova and Istaroth) were doing sketchy things even with HP around, Naberius situation might be weird but she does her job, so it's something to deal with later.
I'm sure they won't be happy but we've been doing good job in keeping Abyss at bay, so maybe they won't go full medieval at us.
