Clearing the traveller outfits confusion for the dialogue/lore skippers

The traveller JUST got this outfit. So hoyo will not "fix" anything like cutscenes that happens before that very moment. There is not reason for that since the outfit was in the f moon, so why would they have it before getting it with Columbina?

That explanation works for the kamera event in Fontaine and normal world quests, but it doesn't explain why we still wear the old outfit in the selenic chronicles part III quest which takes place after the archon quest (in fact it is even locked by the archon quest)

Its not that deep the reasoning why traveler are using the old outfit, some of the cutscene just loads Traveler with the old outfit, its just on the technical side, they probably fixed it for future patch if the traveler continues to wera the outfit but probably for the older quest it will be the same

I bet they wear it during Lantern Rite, that's what I'm gonna do, it looks more like a special formal outfit rather than a normal adventuring one. Not that I'd blame any Aether players who elect to permanently be free of the bellyshirt once and for all
