"Tea for my lady~ ...wait....how can she drink tea..?"
How does sandrone eat and drink? If she can why doesnt she allow poor pulunia?

Rough-Stranger-3142026-01-18 04:26
I have wondered this too.
ItsukiKurosawa2026-01-18 04:33
I think Pulunia doesn't have the same capabilities. Similarly, Ineffa could open a door normally, but those monitors on Aino wouldn't be able to.
Ulthwe_Eldar2026-01-18 04:35
Maybe Columbina was right and it is machine oil
rW0HgFyxoJhYka2026-01-18 08:50
Bina knows how to piss her off.
But for OP, Pulunia was made by Alain, who purposely made the robot a inferior type of robot.
But Sandrone was made to be pretty much biologically functional.
AmbassadorScared85362026-01-18 10:11
i need a detail explanation of your last sentence. for research purposes ;)
gibwater2026-01-18 10:35
Detailed explanation: Instead of clank it's plap
Ball-Blam-Burglerber2026-01-18 18:00
You, sir, are a poet.
slowakia_gruuumsh2026-01-18 13:58
Yeah for some reason ppl can't fathom that in Genshin there's different types of robots/artificial humans made using all sorts of wacky fantastical technologies.
iNeffa =/= Sandrone =/= Shogun/Hat Guy =/= Albedo
mad_laddie2026-01-18 15:01
Albedo isn't even a robot but I suppose he probably is the closest to human.
Arsyl262026-01-18 04:41
the same way doraemon eats dorayaki. also the same with scara and raiden.
from sandrone’s notebook left at traveler room in flagship, alain built pulonia after sandrone, but with much simpler mechanical functionality compared to sandrone.
jesthingjester2026-01-18 05:47
Is doraemon a robot?
Several-End-3212026-01-18 06:05
Yes
jtan19932026-01-18 06:12
lol. this is like saying santa is fake.
jesthingjester2026-01-18 06:49
☹️☹️
Loumigaya2026-01-18 08:22
Bro...you just broke my heart. I've watched only clips of Doraemon and I've always assumed they were like an organic pet or a dog that speaks. I feel sad now TT^TT
Yuukiko_2026-01-18 10:15
So how do you explain the bottomless pouch
jesthingjester2026-01-18 12:38
Magic dUH
SoloWaltz2026-01-18 14:05
It's science, actually.
ezio452026-01-18 21:02
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic
Choose_a_username1432026-01-18 09:56
did you guys mute the show or something
jesthingjester2026-01-18 10:05
I blame it on being really slow as a kid ☹️
SectorApprehensive582026-01-18 07:14
I realized I have never questioned Doraemon eating dorayaki. It's just been so ingrained in me as a kid
Past_Butterscotch4842026-01-18 15:47
Actually it ever explained in the story (i forgot in manga or anime) it destroyed to particle and then combust/chemically converted into energy
Pinoy_20042026-01-18 04:42
I'm still wondering how she has blood
Ze_AwEsOmE_Hobo2026-01-18 04:56
Probably just some kinda red liquid. Overused transmission fluid can look a deep red like blood.
This is assuming it *was* btw, I actually don't know what the color was.
Hageshii012026-01-18 09:05
Genuinely looked to me like it could have been a brownish oil, making Columbina's jabs unintentionally hurt a bit with hindsight.
nanimeanswhat2026-01-18 09:35
Nefer's bleeding eyes in a previous quest wasn't also very bright red either so that could also be a way to bypass the laws but I don't know
Hageshii012026-01-18 09:50
Just went to compare 'cause I remembered similarly. Nefer's bleeding eyes are definitely not a bold *blood red*, the color leans into pink (especially the blood under her left eye, the blood under her right eye is a bit redder).
The problem with Sandrone's scene is that the whole shot seems to have a bit of an orangey tone to it, so it's hard to gauge what the true color of the liquid is meant to be. That *could* just be because most of her visible head is brown tones; her hair, skin, eyelashes, etc. Except for her eyes, those are blue in the shot. But they are a *tad* darker than usual (almost blue-purple in the darkest part) and her visible sclera is also tinted a bit orange, so there are definitely some lighting issues.
Rouge_means_red2026-01-18 12:19
That wasn't blood, it was tea /s
The_Ninja_Allay2026-01-18 17:06
Ahh, she's british
Icy-Childhood-45872026-01-18 04:43
Maybe she has an inbuilt anti-thermodynamic organic decomposer that converts organic matter into energy without consuming any energy itself. As for pulonia (s)he is most likely a type of doll for her, you know, tea party with your Barbie dolls is pretty common game among kids. Scale that to intellectual adults and you get a sandrone+pulonia pair.
Ze_AwEsOmE_Hobo2026-01-18 04:54
Sandrone looks to be an advanced android of some kind. I don't know how or why she's so advanced and can eat (Alain Guillotin seemed to be more concerned Meka), but Pulonia isn't as special. He (is Pulonia a he?) looks like a souped up Ruin Guard or other Khaenri'ahn machine.
paradox_valestein2026-01-18 07:09
Didn't Nahida said Katheryne is a bionic puppet? Sandrone, as kat's creator is probably the same
Pokefreaker-san2026-01-18 19:22
well she did commented on Wanderer's mechanical built as ancient compared to her fontanian mechanical structure. Tho Wanderer's core is based on the Irminsul's fragment which is more magical in nature as oppose to her's.
Artistic_Cable62182026-01-19 10:19
Because Pulonia is just a computing machine, nothing more. It was Sandrone who made him a butler.
ZeroFox752026-01-18 04:55
Quite literally, maybe she's just built different. Maybe Alain just built her to be able to eat and drink and didn't bother with Pulonia. Hopefully they touch on this in later patches.
Maximum_wack2026-01-18 05:19
I thought she built Pulonia or I at least got that vibe when Dottore called him her life's work
Sadimal2026-01-18 05:42
Allain built Pulonia and entrusted him to her. I doubt Dottore knew that.
kdm52rus2026-01-18 17:54
Alan wanted pulonia to stay at the institute, but Sandrone decided to not follow through with this plan and took pulonia with her.
ZeroFox752026-01-18 05:46
If you read Sandrone's notebook, which you can pickup after you finish the AQ it's located in your room at the Flashship, there's an entry about Alain showing her his new invention "Pulonia".
Also says that Pulonia lacks an emotion module, unlike Sandrone, which is interesting. I wonder if Alain programmed Sandrone to be a tsundere or if that's just how she turned out
hoyoshill2026-01-18 07:38
If Alain programmed her to be tsundere, then the new sandrone will not be tsundere anymore.
ZeroFox752026-01-18 08:08
Then I hope it was just fate she turned out the way she did lol. I like Sandrone the way she is.
And who knows maybe the emotion module is part of her core. I really hope we get to learn about her in future patches because the notebook is so interesting, and lowkey depressing at times. Her entry about Signora is sad.
Moomin_12912026-01-18 10:58
I don't think he did - it seems to me that her tsundere personality is largely a defence mechanism. Alain's death hit her hard - there is a strong theme in Genshin relating to the loneliness that comes with immortality.
Then comes the line in her diary - >!Rosalyne is dead!<. Simple, matter-of-fact and unimbelished. She couldn't say any more, on account of her heart being broken once again.
So, I don't think she was built tsundere - a life of loneliness and loss has made her that way.
HorribleDat2026-01-18 08:50
> Also says that Pulonia lacks an emotion module, unlike Sandrone, which is interesting.
So similar to a certain Shogunator built after her predecessor has too much emotion?
(I'm aware Shogun still show emotions, but she's clearly less emotional than her 'older brother')
Evening_Parking26102026-01-18 04:55
The same way scara and ineffa do
QWERTYAF12412026-01-18 04:56
Same way puppets like Wanderer and Raiden eat and drink?
LivingASlothsLife2026-01-18 05:14
"Teyvat has its own laws"
No-Contribution8702026-01-18 05:21
Maybe it's like that one lightcone in Star Rail where Ruan Mei pours Screwllum some machine oil or whatever it was instead of tea, since he's an entirely mechanical being?
Zellopy2026-01-18 05:24
Alain spent extra hours to give his daughter the ability to enjoy food.
IMakeBoomYes2026-01-18 05:32
I second the theory that she prolly has some organic/matter conversion energy thing. It would make her short of being as advanced as Shogun and Scara (who likely don't really need food).
And of course, Pulonia is definitely a powerful yet nonetheless more mundane robot.
Still, I can't be the only one who went nuts over the opportunity to control the big lad.
If this a taste of the rumored Sandrone kit, then I am so down.
bananapeeljazzy2026-01-18 05:34
Teyvat has its own rules
NotTwitchy2026-01-18 06:12
The same way aino makes robots that run on pastries
RagnarokAeon2026-01-18 06:20
I believe that Sandrone is an advanced model Alaine made by uncovering and researching Khaen'riah techniques (mentioned by Raiden as the basis for the puppets like Shogun and Wanderer which we have seen are capable of tasting, eating, and drinking).
I think Pulonia is a heavily modified Ruin Guard made prior to Sandrone.
bluedragjet2026-01-18 06:54
We have three playable robots characters that can eat and drink food
ResurgentClusterfuck2026-01-18 06:57
Ei and Wanderer can eat and drink too
So can Ineffa
Hell I'm pretty sure Ajaw can eat and drink
ExpiredExasperation2026-01-18 14:37
>Hell I'm pretty sure Ajaw can eat and drink
He can. He gets pissed off when he finds out that Kinich has been reserving bruised and damaged fruit for him. And even Ororon tries to give him treats.
paradox_valestein2026-01-18 07:07
Remember how katheryne is a "bionic puppet"? Sandrone is likely the same, a fusion of machine and biological components.
DrTonyMario2026-01-18 07:41
It has Electro-lytes.
floricel_1122026-01-18 07:54
Aino can make robots that consume and work on sweets and NOW people are questioning that?
Sayu_TheOG2026-01-18 07:57
I mean.. she bled from the mouth after Dottore stabbed her, she probably has some human parts or something.
Apprehensive_Shift702026-01-18 08:47
Ineffa also said she can eat and drink, just that the energy conversion is not efficient
coffeeaddictfromcebu2026-01-18 09:58
It was at this scene that I realized,
Sumeru = Chrome / Firefox
Sandrone = Internet Explorer
scared_of_crows2026-01-18 10:36
If she can cough up blood she may as well be able to drink tea
jinxedandcursed2026-01-18 10:51
All inorganic beings have ate in game before. They just have a system in place but it's not necessary.
Icee3032026-01-18 13:31
>!I have a head cannon, that what spilled from her mouth when she sacrificed herself was tea!<
MikasSlime2026-01-18 14:51
Food can be burned and used as fuel i guess?
tcaz22026-01-18 16:02
But the real question is does she have WombForce installed?
SaberWaifu2026-01-18 16:12
She clearly >!had blood coming out of her mouth when she died,!< so perhaps she was created with features as human as possible.
math3552026-01-18 17:11
I hope Pulmonia is playable
TheMrPotMask2026-01-18 20:11
Its not like shes the actual kid and got a *fear of hunger* story being turned into half machine hahaha......... right?
Environmental-Belt492026-01-19 01:06
have you ever watched Bicentennial Man?
Iffem2026-01-19 22:03
plot twist (AQ spoiler): >!It's stored in a tank in her body... it wasn't blood that came out of her when dottore shanked her, it was tea!<
