\#Mondstadt: Indefinable Freedom

Klee, as we all know, always gets in trouble for her bombing shenanigans that Jean literally has to put her in solitary confinement numerous times. While this is mainly because of her pure innocence; that she’s not aware of the dangers she possesses, the fact that she can do it again and again (as a running gag to her character) means that freedom has no limits and that she herself doesn’t know about having restraint.

Relation to AQ: >!Stormterror was tricked by the Abyss Order that he was left alone by Barbatos, not knowing the difference between “being free” and “being abandoned”. So, he used his “freedom” to wreak havoc.!<

\#Liyue: Independent Immortality

Qiqi presumably died in the Archon War (Character Story 4, not specifically mentioned if it was the Archon War). She was made immortal by the adepti and left alone to her own devices. Even though she’s fragile, she does not depend on anyone else to keep herself alive (she needs constant exercise and she also keeps a diary for her own survival).

Relation to AQ: >!Because of Zhongli’s erosion, he knew that Liyue could not depend on his and the adepti’s guidance forever, so he set the plan (and the deal) in motion. Zhongli forced Liyue’s hands to become independent and continue to be independent…forever (immortally independent).!<

\#Inazuma: Unidealistic Idleness

Sayu is usually mistaken to be lazy, while in fact, she has a reason for being idle whenever she can: she wants to grow up fast so she can be taken seriously as an adult and “be” an adult so that she can be an adult when her master returns.

Relation to AQ: >!Ei wants Inazuma to be eternally stuck in time, so she issued the two decrees. Unfortunately for Inazumans, they suffered because of these. Both Sayu and Ei thought that being idle leads to fruitful results, while in fact, they are wrong.!<

\#Sumeru: Voracious Greed

I mean, we all know that Dori’s greedy. It’s her character’s main shtick. This is the most straightforward this can get.

Relation to AQ: >!Azar is greedy because he wants power through a new god, controlled by them, the sages. Scaramouche is greedy because he wants power by being a new god, to prove that he is indeed useful and better rather than being a useless puppet. Both used the dreams of the people for their own gain, not minding the consequences.!<

\#Fontaine: Sacrifice and Transformation

Sigewinne SQ’s summary is that she traded her Melusine face to treat her friend. She was sent to prison because of a good deed. Moreover, she was ostracized for having a human face while also being a Melusine (back when Melusine racism was still a thing). She left her old life, got punished, and “malformed”… for her friend.

Relation to AQ: >!Focalors sacrificed her divinity, and Furina sacrificed 500 years of her life because Egeria transformed Oceanids into semihumans since they wished for it. Neuvillette took those sacrifices to transform semihumans into real humans to save them.!<

\*P.S. I know that Sigewinne’s SQ came after the AQ ended. I’m just pointing out the connection.\*

\#Natlan: Persistence through Death

Kachina, against all odds and fears of either losing in the Pilgrimage or dying in Night Warden Wars, still went for it to prove she’s worthy of her Ancient Name. Even in death, she did not succumb to the Abyss and held on until her rescue.

Relation to AQ: >!Mavuika gave up her current life so that she could be resurrected in the future to lead Natlan in its most dire time. Even in the face of the Shade of Death, she was still willing to pay the toll of Xbalanque’s deal with Ronova. Even Chasca’s predicament is also related here; that even with the death of her sister, she persisted through and became the final hero that they need.!<

\#Nod Krai: Unlimited Brilliance, Limits of Morals

Aino is a brilliant kid, capable of making technological advancements despite her age and stature. She makes inventions that benefit her and the people. She also gave life to a supposed dead, vengeful AI and turned it into a sweet and caring individual.

Relation to AQ: >!Dottore is a brilliant man, capable of making technological advancements despite all odds against his humanity. He makes inventions that benefit him and only him. He’s also willing to take lives to serve his own doing.!<

Thoughts? Too much of a reach even for our smols?
Another Pattern Impact Theory (the first chibi character we meet sets the precedent for the AQ)
