Its a common misconception. There are only so many whales. In reality, majority of most gacha games revenue comes from low/occasional spenders. Even "Leviathans" that spend thousands of dollars every patch (42 days) dont compare to like 1000 people just buying a moon blessing for 5 bucks every month (30 days). If whales really did have that much of an influence, surely we would see more content catered toward them in 6 years than just 1 difficulty in stygian (they still speedrun it literally in a minute or less).
