Maybe you didn't read new skins lore but there are new speculations who HP is too this time. But remember its only speculations not confirmed.
Physical-Command21302026-01-18 12:03
you mean HP is supposedly AI of traveller's ship and terraformed the planet to make it habitable for traveller's to live?
Seroves2026-01-18 12:49
Personally I think that is too much of stretch of a theory because Ai was simply looking for place for travelers to live in, because it describes many different planets that are in habitable, many started to presume that Ai is HP but I personally dont think so.
Mysterious_Evening92026-01-18 16:57
It’s literally said in the skin lore the AI has the capacity to terraform a planet though lol?
Maniacal-Blueberry2026-01-18 18:12
(crack theory) What if there are two different types of AI? One that was HP and the travelers AI. One terra formed Teyvat and the other left. And that new AI that came back (travelers AI) is the one that the sustainer is following now.
d-the-luc2026-01-18 12:28
man I kinda hate how the majoraity of the lore of this game is straight up speculation or theorization. this isn't about the HPs, but the other important people. this happened a lot with the people involved in Albedo's lore. like please just reveal who they are in some peak event rather than barely dropping any crumbs about them before waiting a few years to revisit them. I know a lot of the theories we're making turn out to be correct eventually but I hate how not participating in the circles who are theoryizing about the lore just puts you so much behind when it comes to understanding the *current* lore
Weaponmaster4702026-01-18 12:58
The weirdest part is when they do reveal or reiterate the important lore onscreen that's been sitting in the books or the item descriptions it's, more often than not, done in a dry info dump manner.
RunImmediate60622026-01-18 13:32
Because Genshin players can't fuckings read for shit.
So for us who actually do read it will always feel like that, sadly.
Genshin books and item description have, and will always be hints and clues we can theorize about upcoming stuff that comes to the game.
OR, they give more information regarding important events happening in the past.
Like the new Hexerei set giving more information regarding The Fall of Old Mondstadt and Decarabian, or the Morning Star set giving more info regarding HP, Nibelung and The Moon Sisters.
\- Well, >!We've already met The Moon Sisters!< , and my crackpot theory is that the voice who tempted The Five Sinners to fall is Nibelung, trying to weaken Teyvat enough for the next assault on the HP.
But yes, they should find a better way of dumping it in the story to entertain us who already "know" thanks to reading the lore.
Great-Background15872026-01-18 15:40
Same thing happen with the Shade of space if you pay attention to lore its easy to know how is she
Somewanwan2026-01-18 16:44
Sounds like you talking about something specific, but how does that connect to why HP/Celestia would want knowledge of the old world concealed?

HP is a company that produces printers
dubspool-2026-01-18 17:36
They're more like a company that sells you printer ink, and occasionally printers
Killsheets2026-01-18 19:10
When the ink is stupidly more expensive compared to their printers.
Environmental-Belt492026-01-18 18:41
HP is Hewlett-Packard, a printer company. they are known for not allowing other ink delivery systems, like the continuous system.
I remember during my student days that we had our printer modified by a technician to make it run on a continuous ink system because HP ink cartridges are pricey.

Orobashi soley existed to make raiden feel powerful.
Sakkitaky222026-01-18 15:43
I mean, HP wasn't intending to wake up, Raiden just finished them to prevent HP from causing calamity
Had it been morax there, he woulda done so
masternieva6662026-01-18 15:05
I think hp didnt wake up because Dottore is a human the guy got a bias on humans but if its a god instant celestial nail or death sentence
Kurolegacy272026-01-18 18:20
I mean the Khaenri'ans were human and the HP sicced the Shades on them. Meanwhile a human laid claim to the trilunar authority, even effortlessly tearing open the false sky and the Shades didn’t even so much as lift a finger
Effective_Public_2572026-01-18 19:36
Khaneriahns were abyss nukes waiting to get absorbed by the leylines fucking all of teyvat in the process there just was no other way
Kurolegacy272026-01-18 19:47
And meanwhile Dottore is a sociopath with a god complex getting his hands on god level power. While Khanerians may have been nukes waiting to go off, Dottore was an active threat to the world in the present
Effective_Public_2572026-01-18 22:07
Well difference is that the HP were awake during the cataclysm but now they are hibernating so the shades can't act at all if Phanes was awake during dottore stuff you can bet bro would have gotten nailed to death
Kurolegacy272026-01-18 22:12
I mean, Renova did say that it was time to act though within the confines of the rules. You’d think a human claiming the trilunar authority would fall under that
Effective_Public_2572026-01-19 09:19
Dottore mentions that the whole heavenly cast thought he would fail and he did so it didn't warrant their intervention cause dottore up to that point was still very much chained by fate
TgCCL2026-01-18 15:53
I mean, the Heavenly Principles being strangely absent since the cataclysm was brought up at some point in the story as far as I recall.
Neuvillette's character story also talks about the Heavenly Principles already being weakened enough by the great war of vengeance, i.e. what is referred to as the war of funerary flame in the current story, that they had to create the positions of the archons to keep their authority over Teyvat intact. So they aren't in the best of shapes anyway.
Especially as they ended up using that system to dispatch Orobashi, via Raiden, instead of taking Orobashi out by themselves.
ComradeMason2026-01-18 16:52
Does this "HP" also have hinge problems?
Mysterious_Evening92026-01-18 16:58
True, but HP are now asleep
They were active before the Cataclysm
Crimson_Raven2026-01-18 17:11
We actually have some speculation that the HP might be inactive for some reason.
There was a discussion in Fontane that the destruction of the Hydro Archon's throne really should have gotten the HP's attention.
But they just...didn't.
thecatandthependulum2026-01-18 17:23
I thought HP got punched so hard by Nibelung they were essentially comatose, and the Shades are running things in his absence?
hadtiah2026-01-18 17:48
HP only got into a coma when the cataclysm happened 500 years ago
Effective_Public_2572026-01-18 19:34
Actually the opposite hp cooked nibelung so hard he was described as getting "annihilated" and he still was running things till the cataclysm
GutierresBruno2026-01-18 17:20
Why would Harry Potter be mad with Orobashi?
ArgentDeer2026-01-18 18:48
Because he couldn't use Parseltongue to speak to him
Gregamonster2026-01-18 18:01
Orobashi didn't just read a book. He found Forbidden Knowledge.
When we first saw that story we assumed Forbidden Knowledge meant information the Heavenly Principals didn't like people knowing. But we've since learned that it's Lovecraftian go-mad-from-the-revelation type stuff.

So with this information from reading comments, I theorize that the HP is definitely related to the travelers.
Why it went comatose, I would've assumed that the kaenriah disaster really was that bad. The sinners, especially that surtalogi, AND rinne-whatever are so God damn powerful now, yet they didn't finish HP off.
Traveler's journey probably has something to do with this. HP probably can't wake up until traveler gets to them. Genshin = true God. Traveler is the true God. HP was just making it inhabitable for them.
2 reminders is that traveler can absorb abyssal energy and at the same time, they're being limited by the world. I believe it was at the anemo statue traveler said "I'm getting back my power". And it makes sense, since they can wield all the elements. It also means all those elements were originally from them. Kuuvahki isn't theirs because it's revealed to belong to Columbina. Very clearly a new kind of power that elevates the current elemental system.
Another thing is that before HP came along, it was primordial energy and the dragons. Iirc humans weren't really a thing either. HP being the first descender and adding more life are things that make sense in the context of that. We always wondered why inazuma closely represents Japan and has yokai while other regions don't. Why liyue has adepti and other regions don't. All the regions have their own unique life forms that others don't have. Why is it like that? And for thousands of years, as a matter of fact. Why would adepti not travel to other regions and settle there, for example.
But that's just semantics. The point is, these cultures and different life forms were probably laid down by HP. HP was definitely from traveler's ship since the ship did take a rest stop thousands of years ago.
HP being AI does make sense because of the way the world works. You'll see glitching, you see dendro being computerized form, and so, things truly could be virtual. I know arlecchino can glitch out. There's also Mavuika using the flame to resurrect. It's like transferring data.
And Columbina resurrecting required technology beyond anything teyvat currently understood, knowledge that only Sandrone could put together.
At the end of the day, HP being from the ship does make sense. And even though someone points out Columbina mentioning the ship could be "incompatible" being the reason for HP not being from the ship, at the end of the day, that was only a speculation.
Ineffa being AI, yet from the dragon era means that their technology was also highly advanced. And so who's to say they didn't use it to some degree. But that doesn't really matter either. Abyssal energy is leftover of Nibelung and Teyvat rejects that energy via the people. Though why Traveler can deal with it remains to be seen. Is it that HP found a way to counter it and gave that power to Traveler? Is it that whatever happened in kaenriah, HP not only dealt with it, but gave the power to Traveler? Traveler didn't wake up until 500 years ago and I'm guessing they woke up because they were going to be set up to become the next God of Teyvat via HP, and the sibling didn't want that. While the mission was to find a hospitable planet, they didn't want to be forcefully tied down.
HP likely sees Traveler as their God; therefore the name Genshin. Why the other one isn't is simply because kaenriah stole them. Kaenriah's summoning ritual likely changed the code to make the sibling unrecognizable by ID. I'd like to know a little more on that department. Like what kind of people did they summon? Because iirc it was supposed to be that they isekaied people. Ig kinda like how aloy came in.
