Quest to "introduce" new map area?

Theres usually a quest that naturally progresses you to the new map. But this time Ive completed all the quests and still no quest to go there. Ive always gone to new locations as part of the story, with this one do i really just go there? Or did I miss the quest start somewhere?

Edit: The area im referring to is the newly opened are north of nod krai

Which specific area are you trying to get to? Some regions are locked behind main Archon Quests, while others just need you to find a certain starting point on the map.

I also just had the teleport point unlocked. It may unlock after a certain point in the archon quest or another quest you had done before the patch.

You just go there. (Then you get bombarded with quests after taking a few steps.)

thats kinda lame, previousl locations, the story brings you there, i mean you get to the point where quests tells you go go to that area

Yeah you go there. Archon quest this time has **nothing** to do with the new map. It's just a single 6hr long, non stop quest that takes place in the town or quest instances you are automatically teleported to. Although the story was great, it wasn't implemented very well and a lot of people have voiced complaints so far. If they combined the quest with actual gameplay and map exploration I would have enjoyed it much more personally. Instead I spent an entire day trying to finish it just so I could finally do my daily commissions and even then I hadn't even gotten to the new map. I hope the new world quests aren't about prepping to stop the doctor because if so they're going to feel pretty lackluster at this point lol.

There is one quest that begins right as you reach the end of the bridge next to the first statue of the new area. However if you managed to go around to explore the rest of the area, and trigger quests elsewhere (the one where you meet illuga), it disapears, because it leads there (idk, I couldn't complete it lol).

Quests are weirdly done in this area. Between the case above, and you being able to start the northern-most sigil thing as if you're already best buds with illuga before you do the quest where you meet him, hoyo really didn't try. It really sounds like they forget how open world games work and they expect you to follow a linear path.
