Finally

After 2 years of playing I finally got the last remembrance stone. By far the longest quest I've done but it feels so rewarding to finally finish it.

That wasn’t the worst of it, we used to have 120 resin, none of the quality of life updates we have now, and far less primos then we get compared to now. I still remember the first anniversary event disaster. It was brutal

I also played during that time, but honestly aside from the horrors of events costing resin none of that was as bad as the concept of exploring Liyue with only 120 stamina.

You have to collect geoculi and feed them to the liyue statues to get those, then put the 9 of them into 9 pillars in Cuijue slope to unlock an area with some chests and a 5\* noblesse flower

It is a reward from the Geo Statue of Seven. You can only get 9 since you earn it for each level starting at Level 2. If you collect all 9 and max out the statue, there is a questline where you need to offer them by placing them into 9 pillars. and afterwards, you will fight a very hard ruin grater (100 at wl8 or 110 at wl9). After beating it, you can earn a lot of primogems and a free 5 star artifact (the royal flora). But nowadays, you can get more 5 star artifacts from collecting chests in Nod-Krai and Natlan (treasure trove). but this was 1.0 stuff so this was like finding the one piece during that time.

Jeez…. This brings back sooo many great memories, if i am not mistaken i finished it in 1.2 since in 1.0 and 1.1 i was too busy exploring monsdast instead of doing the archon quest or go to liyue, lol i was braindead

finished it early as well, somewere in between 1.0 and 1.2, which wasn´t the best idea, i was NOT prepared for what was waiting for me nor were my chars (physical Xiangling among others),
so it was a long game of hide and seek in there before i got closure hahaha

I finished it a bit late, but I was very much not focused on building characters to any real measure of degree. Once I got inside the building, I got my buck kicked over and over. It was the first time I saw one of those creatures and it was intimidating. Funny to look back on it now that I can pretty much one shot them

My stratagy at the time was to hide behind a pillar and snipe shot it over and over. I didn't know you could paralyze it at the time, so I was really just slowly chiseling away at it.
Those spiders that shoot at you from the corners were annoying if I couldn't take them out as soon as the battle started

I've done it somewhere at Sumeru time, and I still remember it cause it left me disappointed with the final results... Surely, I got my first cool artifact from that, but the ring still left in my inventory and I'm not giving it in. The experience was so cool back in the day...

I think got all 9 stones about 2 or 3 years ago but I never bothered with the quest. I finally did it a while ago and felt kinda nostalgic. The way the stones knock you back when you place them in was really funny too.

I fished it during Sumeru because I HATED exploring the Sandy bits.

I had spent forever looking for the last one, turned out it was right behind the cliff next to Liyue city.

I now mark EVERY SINGLE ONE of the x-culous I come across.

I don't know if they ever patched that quest, but >!it's possible for the fire totems in the boss fight to glitch and become unbreakable. You'll still be able to disable the boss's shield for a few seconds with Hydro attacks!<.

Back then this quest as a beginner was something that sounded good on paper. A free 5 star artifact for a beginner or low AR sounded really good. Then you get the artifact, and turns out it’s worse than a good 3 star artifact. Although doing the challenge it self was really fun, and since I couldn’t obliterate most enemies or bosses like I do now, I ended up just having one of the best experiences in genshin. Makes me nostalgic every time. Wish I could have that same “Brand new player”, feeling again.
