New F2P Player - Team Problems

Hi there! new player here and because of work and other irl responsibilities, i'm currently only going for a F2P route. so far just finished the Mondstadt Archon questline at AR24, but seriously lost with who I should try to build and get. my current character pool is:

\- Traveler (Anemo/Geo)

\- Amber

\- Kaeya

\- Lisa

\- Barbara

\- Xiangling

\- Noelle

\- Fischl (C1)

\- Razor

\- Ifa

\- Sethos

\- Yaoyao

P.S. Currently running a team of Xiangling / Kaeya / Yaoyao / Amber at the moment.

I still haven't chosen a free 5-Star from the available pool, and planning to get a Sucrose from the free invite event currently on-going because I'm planning to do a pseudo-National Team (Xiangling, Sucrose, Xinqiu during Lantern Rite, and hopefully Bennett) in the foreseeable future, as i've seen in alot of F2P suggestions on the internet.

Can anyone guide me to the right path with what I have at the moment? especially choosing the right 5-Star that can help my plans. Much appreciated and thank you in advance!

So, for 5*’s: Mona is best long term, Jean is best healer/VV holder, Tighnari is best DPS

As for what you have now, Sethos aggravate can be a solid team. Sethos/Fischl/Yao Yao/DMC or Collei

I see! It seems like Sethos is fun but ive no material to ascend Yaoyao atm u_u I cant buy it through Anemo sigils either

You can fight her boss, you’ll just have to travel a bit (and have a pyro character). Both Sethos & Yao Yao bosses are in the desert, I’m p sure

I see. Will it be doable with Lv40 characters? I should I just bench Yaoyao and use Barbara as a healer for now instead

If you do a Sethos team, he would greatly appreciate a little bit more dendro application and Barbara makes you wet aswell, so youll be reacting yourself, which can be annoying.
I play one myself, currently Sethos, Fischl, Collei and Yaoyao and that works well, because Yaoyao wont overheal, but if youre full provide more dendro, which help if Collei/Dendro Mc doesnt have their burst up.
You can get there with Lv. 40 characters for sure. If you can beat the boss, comes down to your world level and characters. Should work.
What server are you on? I can help you beat the boss if that could be an issue. (Im on EU)

The boss? The dendro boss isn’t particularly difficult & there’s always people who will help. Given your world level, a lot of us could one shot it for you

But no. Barbara is not a replacement. In Sethos aggravate you want 2 dendro, 2 electro

Small update: currently using the Sethos team you suggested, but with Sucrose in the 4th instead of Collei / DMC as I dont have both yet. Sethos has been insanely cracked ngl thank you so so much!

All you have to do to get DMC is walk to a statue of seven with traveler in Sumeru

Tighnari or Jean are a great addition to any new account so I'd say go for one of them.

Tighnari is a Dendro Bow unit who has some decent dendro application and can help you with the bow challenges you find in the world.

Jean is a Aneno Sword user and a great healer for you team when you struggle with content like early Spiral Abyss.

As for team comps don't worry to much about it right now as during the story it's not that big of a deal yet. So the teams you are running are decent enough for it

Those two are what have been suggested from YT videos and other stuff ive gone through too. Since Tighnari isn't from a region ive unlocked yet, should it be good to get now? Or should I just stick with Jean since besides Yaoyao (stuck at 20), Noelle (to some extent) and Barbara who I just unlocked, I don't have healers.

Xiangling, Lisa, Fischl and Jean should work as a decent Overload team. Jean can heal, swirl and hold VV.
Youll get enough dps characters with time I think and Jean does decent damage. If you want that as a second team beside Sethos. (Xiangling would need a lot of ER to always have her Burst up)

Small update: i'm currently learning how to use Jean and so far Im not too familiar with how to use nor build her. Most of the builds online are focused on AR45 above (im sitting at AR27 atm) so I dont see my Jean doing much heals nor damage. Do you have any suggestions for artifacts and weapons? Ok, the problem is, she wants ER, so you want to have an artifact (Sands can be ER) that has this as a mainstat or atleast some ER substats. Problem here would be that you cant really farm for artifacts/it really isnt efficient at the moment, as you wont get 5 star ones. Try doing the Viridescent Veneerer domain atleast one or two times with your daily resin. She likes the set bonus, as the two piece affect gives anemo damage bonus and the four piece effect put enemy resistance down, helping your other characters do more damage.
You can put atk%, crit stats and Em on her. EM helps the swirls and the other help skill and burst damage.
Are you familiar with how to level artifacts, talent levels, character level and weapon level?
Also more damage comes with levels. You can wait till your world level ascends and then youll be on a higher level than your enemies. This helps a lot in the early stages, as the abyss monsters have fixed levels per floor and wont get stronger like you do.
