Why a lot of posts here go to 0 upvotes exactly?

Like, I understand that sometimes a post can go to 0 or less, but specifically in this sub and maybe some genshin related subs (character mains), a lot of subs go to specifically 0 upvotes, some of them I even upvote and some time later is back again at 0 (it also happens with downvote), and going down is okay, but it stops at 0 ALWAYS.

Are these bots? Is genshin community this weird here? Never saw this in other subs, so I'm just curious. Because generally a bad post goes into negative in other subs, but here, bad/okay/good posts go to 0, not even negative.

Maybe I'm just overthinking, but even if the community was hateful, why stop at 0? Is this a reddit functionality? Have we reached full balance?

Even posts that aren’t considered “bad” go into the negatives just because there are immature kids that don’t agree with the post.

I have posted in the mains subs and this sub, and have had my posts go into the negative just because people in Reddit are toxic. If they assume you’re wrong or think you’re stupid, they downvote you into the negative and will start arguments with you over the most ridiculous things.

This is what’s considered Cyber bullying and the admins and moderators don’t seem to care, which is unfortunate..

Maybe actually read the post to see what it's about instead of ranting about irrelevant shit.

Maybe your comment was rude and unnecessary. Think before you comment.

Look, I would understand negatives, because of what you said, there is a lot of toxicity.

But I'm talking specifically, about 0, this is what I can't understand, this specifically is what is making me confused/curious.

It’s basically due to how many are upvoting and how many are downvoting. I think it’s just a coincidence.

I prefer this subs hands off approach.

Got a 3 Day ban for describing what I was seeing in a Meme on Animemes.

If you see a Child getting gutted like a Fish and you say you saw this, you get banned for example.

TropicalSkiFly2026-01-18 22:03

Getting banned just for saying that you saw that? Or am I misunderstanding?

i find it hilarious that this post has 0 upvotes exactly

Old_Hyena_41882026-01-18 17:03

To be honest, me too, I opened to see the comments and laughed at the situation.

I believe it’s possible for post downvotes to be hidden so it’s probably not that they are all a “0” exactly but we can’t actually see how far they may have been downvoted below zero.

Old_Hyena_41882026-01-18 17:00

I see, that would make sense.

notthatjaded2026-01-18 18:28

Yeah. I made a post a while back that shows “0” but the post insights don’t show a 50/50 upvote/downvote ratio like you might expect if the votes were exactly evening each other out.

Even harmless questions and answers in daily megathreads are regularly downvoted. It's not worth caring about.
