Dottore is alive
These are just a few thoughts I had and wanted to share here:
HEAR ME OUT WE GOT TWO END QUESTS SCREENS THAT MEAN THERE ARE TWO DOTTORES ONE WE KILLED (the omega) AND THE SECOND, THE REAL ONE, IS ALIVE…
1. Dottore glitches whenever he messes with time or space, so what if everything we saw was just an illusion? Like… when we “killed” him, everything right after felt way too perfect. I don’t know, something is definitely off; even columbine said "i dont believe in endings" and wanderer said "i still feel like i have a chip on my shoulder"
2. Dottore also said “the experiment begin” so I suppose that all was just an experiment/act…
3. DOTTORE IS RANKED NUMBER 2 AND COLUMBINA 3 IT’S NOT A COINCIDENCE.
4. PLUS there are already theories saying this whole thing might be a setup orchestrated by the Tsaritsa, Pierro, and the original Dottore. The 6.3 livestream art literally shows curtains framing the characters, and for this patch that feels very intentional like we were watching an ACT being played out.
5. finally he still have to burn the irminsul…im 100% sure we will see him in shnezhnaya

Here is what I think:
Experiment 1: Objective 1.0- to persuade the traveller to join him. Results- the traveller won't change their mind even in a life and death situation so trying to persuade him to join is futile.
Objective 1.1- to see the extent of his artificial trilune powers against original trilune. Results- the artificial moon marrow is a lot week when faced against the original (cannot use against Celestia).
Objective 1.2- to determine how does the traveller react to life death time space reason. Results- traveller is not fully immune to time(we got trapped for 1 month in 1 blink of an eye), space(we kept changing location) and reason(walking on air seems like reason manipulation).
Objective 1.3- to determine all the scenarios that could lead him to meet his failure. Results- one such scenario included sandrone putting the core in pulonia's body.
Seems pretty thought out for a researcher.
The Omega’s death wasn’t a loss; it closed a test loop, confirmed the limits of artificial power, and showed what still can’t challenge Celestia.
As you said, since the traveler isnt from teyvat, they’re just a test subject, not the end goal... i think what he actually wants is to reach a level where Celestia, fate, and even Irminsul cant limit him. thats his goal...
As for the Tsaritsa, even if she’s watching to see whether Dottore could be a traitor (like Childe hinted), i dont think she’ll discard him her goal is to end Celestia, and Dottore’s goals overlap with hers. She doesn’t need him to be loyal, just effective.
