help a guy through a dilemma
context (tl:dr at the bottom):
i quit the game after sumeru, came back after a while only to realise how stupid the decisions i made were (the team before i pulled furina and arlecchino was the first 2, xiangling and rosaria for whatever reason), including pulling venti over kazuha.
i came back and pulled furina then arlecchino shortly after another couple months long break and then natlan happened. quit right after because i didnt actually like natlan.
once more i come back to present day to nod krai and i see flins. i, just like venti, instantly fell in love with his character and how he played after watching some showcases. but, because of the team i made from a while ago, im stuck with 2 mediocre characters that i dont even play to their core roles and 2 amazing characters.

\- do i pull for another sub dps/support to replace raiden (right now she just procs electro for my arle)
\- do i pull for kazuha and replace venti (leaving me with no flins </3 but better dps overall)
\- do i pull for arles weapon (probably the worst option)
\- do i pull for my goat flins (and be left with an ok team after that with a second electro character)
while pulling for any character i probably will just get random 4 stars that will help, and i already have quite a few if that helps
should this have gone into the megathread? i dont know, but just let me know if it should have!

You just need to do the Hexenzirkel homework and use another hexeri character.
Edit; to add on, using him, Raiden, Furina, and a hexeri character would probably allow you to smooth over any content, with Raiden as an electro applicator and possibly temporary sub DPS
edit: also to add what about my goat flins </3 and if not him what about arle? does venti just become the dps and i dont need arle anymore?
I actually play Venti with my flins, and he works great with Venti(If venti is played as a support)
You can probably find explanations for the Hexeri stuff on YouTube. I’m sure they’d explain it better than I could.
As for Flins…if you pull Ineffa and have him, you could make a banger team with him, Ineffa, Furina, and Venti.
The meta has changed a LOT since you last logged in, so you’ll probably just want to do some general research.
And you can now play him as a great DPS, not to mention that he’s pretty decent in meta now, seeing as enemies are once again super weak to his burst.
Also, replacing characters in genshin is different than benching them. I have a skirk team that I play when I need to do cryo damage; that team isn’t replaced because they aren’t on field.
Just do research into the new meta, buffs, ect. It’ll help you plan your pulls. Though if you want Flins, I highly recommend getting Ineffa.
Unless benching characters is just swapping out even one character but keeping the core, I will just simply have to replace my (effectively because of my lack of resources and characters) dated characters.
Some guy here told me my team dont work with eachother, is that true? I get 3 high damage reactions every single time my arle attacks, including vapor, overload and electrocharge. Assuming arle doesn't die which happens very quickly (don't ask me why), it works decently well. I've noticed I've fallen behind and can't put out high amounts of damage, but it does work
Venti’s DPS gameplay is different. He bursts, activates the buff, and then you just click and he’ll shoot arrows that can do a shit ton of damage.
I honestly just suggest looking stuff up at this point. There’s videos online which can and will explain this better.
And about the research, where do I begin?
If your Venti can’t out damage somebody like Diluc, then he’s level one, no Hexeri buffs, with a healers build.
Though I am interested; what characters do you think are better than Venti, besides the obvious top 8? Who are the other 17?
What do you mean "my Venti". Calculations are done with "KQM Standard", that means C0R0 for all tested 5-stars. You can't just take C6R1 Venti and say *"Oh yeah, he's Top 10 now"* Vivian :P. That's not how this works.
Funny you mention Diluc because plunge Diluc is actually very close DPS-wise to Venti with Durin, that being around 82k for Diluc vs. 84k for Venti. Do you really want me to list all characters that calc 85k and above? Because the list is long and starts with Yoimiya.
Venti with the Columbina+Ineffa wheelchair is around 95k. And maybe I was bit harsh since he probably does make Top 25 then, but not Top 20. He's somewhere under Alhaitham.
It's fine if Venti is no.1 in your heart but that doesn't mean anything for the calc :). And yes, Venti got a big buff, but it only went so far. He's fine and you only need around 60k to clear Abyss anyway, but he is absolutely *not* Top 10. That's coo-coo delulu talk.

Something like Arlecchino, Kaeya or Rosaria, Xiangling or Bennet, and Venti (or another Anemo). Arlecchino and Furina don’t go well together. Arlecchino cannot be healed by other characters but herself and Furina drains the party’s life.
Having two electro in the same team is good, it activates the resonance.
And how does furina drain life? I thought she heals and does damage
You can use Raiden, it’s just for that Fischl for example is a much better off-fielder. I don’t know if you have Chevreuse, but if you do use her, she makes Overload teams shine.
Same thing for Furina, you can use her for Hydro off flies application, but you’d better use Xingqiu or Yelan or Nilou. It’s just that Furina makes it a bit harder and is not as effective as she doesn’t gain as much Fanfare stacks because of Bond of Life.
Right now you’re using a weird hybrid team trying to both vaporise and overload. It’s not good, you should do one or the other. If your Arlecchino is well build it won’t be a problem for overworld content, but you’ll struggle with more difficult content.
Venti is now an on field dps so he's competing for field time with arle. I'd replace one of those.
if you're going to use Arle with Furina I would get a second hydro like yelan or XQ.
