Il Dottore is Hoyo's most ambitious character in Genshin Impact, and since he is well-written to a fault, he will NEVER be playable.

Yes, he will NOT be playable. Not because he will inevitability die, but because Da Wei's brain capacity is incapable of sustaining such writing prowess within a character.

Screw this, is he even in the correct game or even genre at this point? I am looking forward to Hoyo's unavoidable bastardization of his character.

from what I could tell, his knowledge and abilities are limited to what is known in the world of teyvat, but traveller being from outside teyvat is they reason he's so interested in them

I think Dottore was probably more lonely than anything. Dude isolated and alienated himself because he thought he was better than everyone else.

He wanted affirmation and validation that he was in the right. Probably even companionship from someone he deemed worthy (A Descender) due to his ego and inflated sense of self.

I think what he really wanted from the Traveler was to be understood, since he himself admitted the traveler is able to make connections wherever he goes. Problem is Dottore is a sociopath and there was never any way that was happening

And my reason is genshin likes to have characters do a redemption arc like with wander. I really liked wander when he was a harbinger but after his redemption arc I lost interest

I want him to remain completely evil and still be playable, albeit ideally not in the cureent Luna version. Version, not a single patch.

They still have a year left to do it if so, and I really want the goat to be playable. It makes things interesting to another level and this may be a stretch, him being playable could be precedent to Gold being playable three to four years from now

I just realized dottore could have forced the traveler to work with him by threatening to kill his sister or something. He literally said he could bring her to where they were. AND since the abyss sibling is NOT a descender, she can be easily manipulated by time space and so on.

The abyss sibling is more vulnerable than traveler and yet dottore didn’t take advantage of that lol. The moon marrows went to his head 🤣

eh... I feel like Dottore is really nothing special as a villain.

especially his way to try to tempt the traveler to his side for me at least came as childish and short-sighed. Every time he spoke, I was like: "Dude is OBVIOUSLY not going to work."

Compared to actually well-written characters like Magneto or Johan (monster), hell, even Pain or Obito tempt attempt are miles better than Dottore's
