Well… yes? Hoyo just gave the tools, the map creators had to do the rest of it themselves. That also means that hoyo had the tools, and just didn’t make it for us.
Nhosis2026-01-19 02:07
Which makes it even funnier watching people try to defend them.
A wins a win though.
JusticeBean2026-01-19 02:10
And doesn’t that theoretically mean they saved dev time, not waste it? Like, they offloaded the effort of making what the community wants to the community itself. In the long run, this is good, no…?
Flair862026-01-19 02:18
You could think of it that way. But there are multiple independent milliastra devs who have made maps. It wouldn’t have taken much effort for hoyo to make a high quality official version, without any of the scuff from milliastra restrictions. Which is a bad sign, it’s lazy.
AccomplishedGlove2342026-01-19 02:16
Mf really thought this was the "gotcha!" they thought it'd be.
MiniMages2026-01-19 01:46
I am using it but if you think I am going to play MW daily it's a NO.
LadyPlantress2026-01-19 01:48
I mean that's literally the only thing I go on there for. I'm not even a meta player, MW gameplay just never interested me. I barely even use the co-op features in Genshin itself, and if I wanted to create outfits I go play Infinity Nikki.
D-S_122026-01-19 01:58
I'll always stand by the idea that Miliastra Wonderland should have been a separate app for game development similar to Roblox and Roblox Studio. You have the game itself and another app meant for developing for the main game.
LadyPlantress2026-01-19 02:06
I feel like they weren't really confident that it would the popularity/get enough attention to stand on it's own and since it used Genshin assests they decided to just combine them and hope people would play it while they were doing their dailies in Genshin.
D-S_122026-01-19 02:08
Yeah that's what I'm thinking as well, but while that may work to some degree, for most players they just ignore it. I haven't touched it since release and for obvious reasons they can't make the push to play it while you're in-game too intrusive. So all they're left with is a game mode that is only used by players who want to but for most of the playerbase they might forget it even exists.
Understandable they went the popularity route, but at the same time if players don't want it, I don't really expect it getting that much play time anyway.
LadyPlantress2026-01-19 02:13
If I remember right, it's actually a really popular mode on the Asia servers, but EU and NA tend to ignore it more. But a lot of people I know just did the initial quest to get Genshin to stop bugging them about it, then ignore it. I'm on NA, btw.
JDBCool2026-01-19 02:31
My take?
Just a little silly thing on the side to do like 1-3 "rounds" if I'm waiting for ~3ish resin so that I can use up all the resin for the day
Costyn172026-01-19 02:21
When did you start playing Genshin?
Miliastra goes all the way back to the first Divine Ingenuity event. An event where you build your own custom domains.
Players asked Hoyo to make that permanent and as they improved it more and more, it transformed into what MW is.
Even if the Mannequins had their own separate app, the classic mode that was just added this update was going to be added to the game anyway.
Hoyo probably figured that they might as well merge both into Genshin instead of making one mode in the game and the other as a standalone app when they'll both work the same way and use the same assets.
Successful-Ad55602026-01-19 03:33
It is getting a lot of playtimes, even if its not the majority, and it is worth a check imo.
I rarely go in it, but ive found multiple fun games inside, and never had to wait a long time to find people even if i am not playing the super popular ones.
Kaze_no_Senshi2026-01-19 04:44
they should update char models and rigs and let us attach accessories
DrDerpyDerpDerp2026-01-19 04:41
That's basically what I do. I log into MW, do 2 games of wordle, and log out.
TeriApocalypse2026-01-19 02:25
A different app, and for people who want it, it's going to be a whole download taking up space that basically uses Genshin assets.
It'll be far from mobile friendly.
To begin with, since it's using in-Genshin assets, it won't even take that much additional resources. The scripting and UI for the Milliastra Wonderland is the part that'll be new and additional add-on.
Kernp2026-01-19 02:51
Roblox solved the storage issue 15 years ago. The entire Roblox folder on my laptop is under 5gb, and I can play any game or open Roblox Studio right now and have no functionality restricted despite Roblox having multiple times more unique assets. Wonderland has no excuse, Hoyo absolutely could have made it standalone if they wanted to.
Sufficient-Habit6642026-01-19 02:56
Well if they made it a separate app, a DPS tester would never have become possible. I would've agreed with you before Luna IV. Now that teyvat characters can join MW, it kinda needs to be a part of Genshin now.
nova10002026-01-19 03:49
>Well if they made it a separate app, a DPS tester would never have become possible
Doesn't that make it worse the fact that it is easy to literally make but Hoyo refuse to do it?
Sufficient-Habit6642026-01-19 05:26
It might be an image thing, as in, they want to appeal to casuals, and a dps tester would put a lot of pressure on people which could make them enjoy pulling new characters less if the new characters don't have good numbers.
Either way, it's in the game now, so I don't really care about hanging on to the past.
Looking forward to the future, MW with Teyvat characters allows us to have new "endgame."
people have had tons of ideas of how to implement a fun endgame mode, and now anyone who wants one can create one.
rogue likes with our own characters, dodging games, and whatever else more creative people can think of.
zephyrseija22026-01-19 03:58
They jammed it inside Genshin to engineer adoption.
kokko6932026-01-19 01:59
Do you really play Infinity Nikki for the outfits ?
Genuinely asking. I don't know this game.
JusticeBean2026-01-19 02:08
That’s… the whole point of the game.
kitastorm2026-01-19 02:08
Not the person you were replying to, but Infinity Nikki is a dress up game primarily. The outfits in the Nikki games have a huge variety in styles like Miliastra, but the customization of each individual aspect of an outfit you make is much more complex compared to Miliastra. You can change each accessory, every color on a piece of clothing and even mix and match individual parts of make up
Would recommend for anyone who like cosmetics/dress up as it's basically one of the highest quality games you can get with very free customization.
beautheschmo2026-01-19 02:47
I haven't played IN, but I did play one of the previous Nikki games (Love Nikki i think). And yes, the customization there was literally a million times better than Miliastra's lol, i have to assume it's the same for IN as well.
Though on the other hand, there was no full body goofy cartoon horse outfit .... I guess we can call it even
LadyPlantress2026-01-19 02:57
There is a panda outfit in Infinity Nikki that is almost equally as goofy, lol. And a duck butt outfit.
LadyPlantress2026-01-19 02:11
I mean outfits are one of the main points of it since a gatcha dress up game, lol. But more seriously, it's half the outfits and half the gameplay for me. It's an open world adventure game, with very simple combat that made me nostalgic for the old-school platformers like Spryo or Crash Bandicoot. Lots of exploration and puzzles which I like and why I like play Genshin. There's something satisfying about getting all the chests/collectables in an area.
Like I said the combat is very simple, even if they did mix it up by giving you a bow and arrow ability in the new region, and enemies that you need more than one hit to take down.
It's fun and chill for a gatcha, even if the game did shoot itself in the foot at it's 1.5 mark for no good reason.
LiDragonLo2026-01-19 02:34
Did it ever recover after shooting their own foot?
LadyPlantress2026-01-19 02:51
Somewhat. It's not nearly as popular as it was during it's first few months, and the new opening makes it *really* hard to get new people into the game I feel like, but it's improved.
It also released it's housing feature which I think helped keep people invested, and recently released a new region that has new abilities including a the archery combat as well as a summons that can fight with you.
It's funny they messed up everything because they wanted a lore reason to have the multiplayer area there but...most people really don't use it that much. Most people just go there to afk next to the tree that slowly condenses the stardust currency for them. The most player engagement was during the anniversary event where everyone was in put in teams but man, that was a whole blow up in an of itself.
hera-fawcett2026-01-19 04:12
i still am not a huge fan of how many slots there are fr. its means u need way more pulls to get what u want. and its p heavy on resource farming to unlock pieces.
i think if it didnt retcon itself, i could look past it, but at that point there was nothing unique that other games didnt do. theres tons of other things i can use as a pretty dress up sim--- half the reason i started was the story.
but im not a monolith other ppl like other things, im still a lads player so its not like im not engaging w the company in other ways lmao.
Pollardin2026-01-19 02:22
That's Infinity Nikki's whole deal. Its a fashion game where you roll on outfits instead of characters.
alzw19982026-01-19 02:37
Honestly mw is just serving the same niche as teapot or tcg. So unfortunately it sticks out in an unflattering way for being much more complex as a game mode despite fundamentally netting the same breath of user engagement as the other two modes. i.e. there will be people who like it, but it’s definitely NOT universally appealing.
So on that note, it’s quite erroneous on OP’s part to generalise that the people not interested in mw are just meta focused players. It’s most certainly a far more diverse crowd than that.
LadyPlantress2026-01-19 03:06
I have noticed that attitude crop up sometimes - that the only reason you could *possibly* not like MW is because you're a no-fun meta player! Because clearly that's the only reason you wouldn't be playing it! Not because, like you said, it's a very specific mode and if you were never into that you're not going to want to engage with it.
I'm also confused at the thought that thought that people wanting to engage with one level - the training dummy - for one very specific purpose will somehow decide that they like all the other aspects of MW. Even though the other levels have a *very* different purpose.
mainrof112026-01-19 02:40
exactly. Instead of hoyo literally creating this on like a separate area (hello imaginarium), they then decided to create a different game mode which would then offload the test dummy idea to creators
leeo2682026-01-19 02:57
Wait till they start making custom dungeon campaign for your team to clear.
LadyPlantress2026-01-19 03:10
It probably still won't interest me unless they attach a very good story to it and even then it's a maybe.
FallenAngelII2026-01-19 03:38
Sometimes I play fake Windtrace there while waiting for Windtrace to rerun.
Rouge_means_red2026-01-19 01:49
Oh no here they come
AnonUSA3822026-01-19 01:56
This is what I want too, I play milastra levels every now and then but its the combat training is what has really made me get seriously into it
zephyrseija22026-01-19 01:57
👋 The mode is still a stupid waste of time and they could have easily just made this a feature in the game.
LiftingLeo2026-01-19 02:35
With the ability to change teams without exiting the entire mode
ARANDOMNAMEFORME2026-01-19 03:14
Yes, they should just allow us to change builds and teams without exiting. That shit is so annoying.
FallenAngelII2026-01-19 03:40
You can do that. You just can't shuffle artifacts or weapons around, which is annoying when you're trying test the same teams but with different artifacts and weapons.
herminihildo2026-01-19 02:53
Well the thing is the devs didn't create it. It was the players.
If you think the devs will create this feature, the skip dialogue would probably end up happening before this.
Nodayame2026-01-19 03:28
They added the ability to put the entity in MW
XyrusM2026-01-19 02:55
Knight of Favonius training grounds, been there since day one. Make one of the dummies immortal
nova10002026-01-19 01:58
The fact that people had to do it because Hoyo didn't is kinda sad
Anyway, I'm not interested in it at all and I still think it should be optional because frankly I'm not interested in playing amateur games, or playing with random or so on, And a feature that should be available in the base game won't change my mind or make me like Milistras, and frankly I don't see why there are people still trying to convince the opposing side
People who like milistras like it and they won't be convinced its bad, people who think it's shit will continue to think it's shit
ShuricanGG2026-01-19 02:26
its more sad that there was already a system put in the game that allows this to be made in MW. its looks double bad for hoyo.
BiscottiExcellent1952026-01-19 02:15
MW is nothing but an extra loading screen for dps checking
Ikses2026-01-19 02:15
dps dosnt matter if all content just shilling recent character
all you need is best way to mimic recent 5\* if you dont own it
AccomplishedGlove2342026-01-19 02:15
I hope you understand that this isn't the "gotcha!" that you think it is, OP. The fact that people have to go to Miliastra and rely on player-made DPS testing maps just to test their rotations is a negative on Hoyo, because it shows that they've had the tools and capabilities to make it themselves the whole time, but for some reason just waited 5 years for players to make it themselves. It shows laziness on their part, and stubbornness in implementing simple features like this.
It won't be long before the players themselves also have to make long-requested features in MW like artifact loadouts, or on-the-fly Traveler element switching, and implement it better than Hoyo themselves ever can.
ShuricanGG2026-01-19 02:25
this guy gets it, but people cant understand simple logic. gotta remember there is people out there defending the gacha system in MW like they needed more money from us...
GhostGK212026-01-19 02:48
I don’t play MW either nor pulled anything there , but I don’t get the hate boner some ppl have for it.
It’s cosmetic only gacha, and the revenue from that is shared to the stage creators who are making thousands of dollar per month.
I see no reason for the hate even you don’t play MW. It’s something other ppl enjoy obviously.
Salter_KingofBorgors2026-01-19 02:37
Agreed it isnt a 'gatcha moment'.
Though I do wanna add that the quality of the MW stages has gone up by a ton. So honestly im fairly enthusiastic about the future of MW
Sufficient-Habit6642026-01-19 03:00
Honestly, I'm kinda a fan of MW now. I tried it at release and all of the games were bad. But the more recent games are actually half decent, so I can expect good things in the future.
And now that Teyvat characters are in MW, not only can we implement DPS tests, but I'm sure the genshin community can create even cooler things now.
Ok_Cranberry_30132026-01-19 03:05
Nobody was ever questioning if MHY had the means to make something like this, they do and we all know it.
The real question is, why would they? There's virtually no point in making a DPS calculator and allocating even half the resource in doing so is a waste of time. (+ people would cry and wine that a new permanent game mode doesn't have primo rewards)
That's why I like Miliastra Wonderland, it allows players to create their own content and bring to life some of the ideas that the playerbase has wanted in forever that MHY would never do or is something thats low in priority for MHY.
Features like Artifact Loadouts and Traveler element switching are Quality of Life features and is INCOMPARABLE to a dmg testing center which would require a new gamemode lmao. MHY could very well still make those features somewhere in the future.
AccomplishedGlove2342026-01-19 03:14
>There's virtually no point in making a DPS calculator and allocating even half the resource in doing so is a waste of time.
Why are we acting like creating a DPS calculator requires significant resources to be allocated? It hasn't even been two weeks since 6.3 dropped and someone has already made it in MW.
>That's why I like Miliastra Wonderland, it allows players to create their own content and bring to life some of the ideas that the playerbase has wanted in forever that MHY would never do or is something thats low in priority for MHY.
Good for you, but a lot of players play Genshin because of its main draw: the cute characters, exploration, and world design. If I wanted to play a UGC, I would go to Roblox for that.
A lot of people have been saying that MW has a different team of developers responsible for it, but I doubt a lot of you can honestly tell me that the reason map expansions have been getting lesser and lesser since Natlan isn't because of MW.
>Features like Artifact Loadouts and Traveler element switching are Quality of Life features and is INCOMPARABLE to a dmg testing center which would require a new gamemode lmao. MHY could very well still make those features somewhere in the future.
We've been asking for such features since the Traveler was able to switch elements. If they haven't still been able to make it in the 5 years before they even started development on MW, I honestly have no hope they will do it now. Sorry if I'm not optimistic 🤷♂️
T8-TR2026-01-19 03:19
\>It shows laziness on their part
Hot take (maybe?) but all UGCs are laziness on the dev's part since they just throw the players a bunch of tools and profit off the creativity of the actual people making said UGC.
kaitheghostking2026-01-19 03:50
The money from the MW gacha goes to the popular stage creators tho
Mihoyo said it themselves multiple times since MW started
Cyberdine502026-01-19 03:38
Exactly this. Imagine praising the entirety of MW for the one thing many people even go to it for just because the devs made the player-base pick up the slack on something we’ve been wanting for years!
It’s just a matter of time that someone will create a better artifact load out system too. The moment that happens, you can always expect people like OP to play defense for a company that is incredibly incompetent when it comes to implementing popularly requested features
Nyancromancer2026-01-19 03:58
MW it's self was an incredibly requested feature though, people literally asked for a custom level / domain builder for years, it exists now.
people also asked for multiplayer things to do, they also exist now through MW.
X3m9X2026-01-19 04:09
Hoyo themselves probably realise that making this feature can also fulfill other requested result (having fun endgame that tailored to their liking, random gamemode, this test dummy etc.). Its literally killing multiple birds with 1 stone
Nyancromancer2026-01-19 04:23
no doubt, I just think it's really silly to act like just because it's not something some people personally wanted, that it's not something a large portion of the playerbase wanted and the complaints about it are overblown.
with how these people complain, I wouldn't doubt they would complain about an official test dummy not giving them enough info or not packaged in the way they wanted anyway, better it's made by the community and they can work on it displaying the info they want how they want.
X3m9X2026-01-19 04:36
Exactly
X3m9X2026-01-19 04:53
On an added note, players/CC guide makers can now make character/team specific guides. We can directly learn some techs here and there. Like childe international’s multiple rotation variables. Theres standard rot, hydro burst kazuha rot, low er rotation, low dmg rev vape spin up xl burst rotation etc..
Or replayable past abysses. Or make modern abysses but lower hp. This shit that shit alot of shit. Theres alot of possibilities now. Now hoyo needs to make the gamemode accessible cross servers cuz i know the CN cooking some wack shit over there
disabledarcana2026-01-19 03:52
I stand by my take that they could have put a test dummy into the often underutilized teapot years ago. Instead you have to go into their stapled on second gacha to do it. It was never about giving people what they asked for.
Sad-Possibility-93772026-01-19 04:12
The fact the dps dummy is in there has made me play like 6 different games that were all pretty good. Honestly it was a good move to draw in players
GalacticDeg2026-01-19 02:21
Calling us "doubters" isn't fair, since this is a new feature and most people still dislike everything else that Miliastra actually is. I still don't like the rest of Miliastra Wonderland. I still don't like the clunkiness and empty vibe the games have, and I still don't like customisation feature, even if they're trying to give out more freebies. I'm not even a meta player, but I just wanted somewhere fair to test out numbers and we finally have it through this little feature, with added DPS measurements.
If you like it, that's cool. You don't need to act like people who dislike it have the wrong opinion.
Original-Shallot58422026-01-19 02:32
You need to step out of your bubble if you think most people dislike Miliastra.
Feeling-Job45182026-01-19 02:35
most people dont care
Heiron0882026-01-19 03:04
Most people definitely don't care.
Pop-girlies2026-01-19 04:00
Honestly, I think most just don't care about it. Though the region changes things too. There's not that much incentive for an NA creator to use MW unless they like really wanted it to be in genshin. If they didn't care about that then they'd just use Roblox and probably are already on it (assuming they didn't have qualms with that too). Same goes for players, most NA players who would be into this are just Robloxians, not to say that people don't like both though. However, China doesn't have Roblox I don't think so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a tad more popular over there (idk about the other regions)
Bay-Sea2026-01-19 02:22
Personally I enjoy MW.
Having been enjoyed the creative games from fans.
Many needs works, but the ones that are good are addicting.
khainiwest2026-01-19 02:28
I'm in this image and I dont like it
xpyrosh2026-01-19 02:28
Why tf would they launch a whole other game within the game that has nothing to do with it
Dougline2026-01-19 02:29
This and the Chess game mode too lmao
Generic_MC2026-01-19 02:31
Dude, just let people not like something. This is a big game. Some part is going to be someone's least favorite. That does not make them a hater or doubter or whatever other negative term you want to use.
hera-fawcett2026-01-19 04:15
fuck tcg all my homies hate tcg
/j (but only a little lmao)
jjseas20032026-01-19 02:46
Yeah I still won’t be touching that game mode. I appreciate its usefulness for damage calcs and new renders but that’s where it ends for me.
DaymD2026-01-19 02:47
As a "lives under a rock" kinda traveler, i am ashamed to say that it took me several comments for me to understand that "MW" stood for "Miliastra wonderland".
gotnouwustogive2026-01-19 02:49
i still shudder at the thought of using real money just to look like your standard npc but the test dummy is one of the best things that came out of there
ZweiChi2026-01-19 02:50
I personally don't play MW. I just love seeing all the creative stuff people make through yt shorts.
X3m9X2026-01-19 02:51
Probably the smartest move by hoyo to make MW in general no matter how you see it (good or bad). I didnt shit talk on it yet on release cuz it didnt have the full package but i can see myself playing it more now that i can use the combat system that i joined genshin for in MW.
Think about it. For the first 4 years, people criticize it for theres nothing to do since theres only abyss to work towards to. They added stygian and theater afterwards to. Both received mixed receptions where some love it and some hate it, both with their own reasons.
Overworld puzzles have mixed receptions too. Inazuma puzzle is something that i like but some others hate it. Some of the minigames that i enjoy but others hate it. Even the overworld exploration have mixed reception, some hate it some love it. Some find mechanics clunky/unfun while others find it straightforward. Some shit talk others for having their own opinion even.
At this point they themselves realise they absolutely cant satisfy everyone. What better way to make it so the players themselves make the shit they want. Theres still flaws behind this MW “solution” like needing the players themselves to make said gamemodes (in which they are trying to circumvent by giving actual money assuming said gamemode is a success).
P.S. im not defending them for their slowass QoL or powercreep etc. i just see it as somewhat smart on their end since as stated before cant satisfy everyone. Since they will get criticize anyways might as well make a solution that can try satisfy alot of people at once.
hera-fawcett2026-01-19 04:19
good take fr.
esp considering for so long players *asked* about ugc type things (after the first domain building event). there *are* ppl who want to make their own content. there *are* ppl who want to play ugc. there *are* ppl who want to pull for fashion for the mannequin.
and its cool if its not for u. its not a big chunk out of their life if u dont like it as long as enough ppl do. and they *do*.
Goonders2026-01-19 02:54
Some people just don't vibe with the MW playstyle. I think it still needs some more time both for developers and players to fill out what it can do but so far I've been enjoying the variety. There's a little bit of a lack of creativity since most are just remakes of games that currently exist but there is potential.
The gacha aspect of MW still sucks but it doesn't bother me since its just aesthetics.
Forward_Cheesecake722026-01-19 02:55
I'm now more frequent to MW more than my MW regular friend lol
OmniOnly2026-01-19 02:55
We Fix all the problems, see it was always good to begin with and not 1 week ago when we could use our characters.
Frostgaurdian02026-01-19 02:56
How to feed ego hungry people
Terrac222026-01-19 02:56
I do agree that this is smth we should've had in the base game and not locked behind MW, but at the same time, at least since it's community-made, we get to enjoy a layer of customization and depth that I highly doubt a HoYo-made DPS testing ground would give us. On a side note, I've been dabbling a lot more in other MW content ever since I started visiting more often for the DPS calc lol
Suspicious_Deal44122026-01-19 02:57
MW that lets us use the characters we spent years building seems to be the solid direction for MW to experiment with.
jaysonix2026-01-19 03:00
LMAO we still hate MW. The only reason we open MW is because HVY is lazy to develop their own DPS dummy.
Whilyam2026-01-19 04:23
"My fave filthy greedy parasite mode latched onto and sucking the map expansion budget and primo code budget from the real game made the thing the Hoyo devs are too weak to make themselves! Doesn't this make you love this mode??"
PossiblyBonta2026-01-19 03:00
I am confident that Mihoyo them selves are using the same tool for events, but has more tools unlocked. It's not a wasted feature. Mihoyo decided to make it available to players.
peppapony2026-01-19 03:03
I have to say, I finally got around to testing my team... And realised i do so little damage lol
DSharp0182026-01-19 03:03
Im still in the bad place with MW.
I tried to use it on console, got lagged out so bad that it booted me back to the login screen, which just made it lag out and boot me back to the login screen.
I managed to escape this cycle by logging in on the mobile version…
But holy shit am i not going to touch that again until i am 100,000% sure that wont happen again.
Elxjasonx2026-01-19 03:05

Why would I do that though? I don’t care about damage. Doing enough damage to kill enemies in the game is fine.
EKAAfives2026-01-19 03:12
Yeah mw is ass its got the unlimited games but no games. Also that is literally one of the 2 uses I see on mw since having 2 mannequins to store my prebuilt characters is great and proven how lazy miyoho is with the game the dps calculator is also nice as it allows me to see how underwhelming my teams are (highest dps I got was 75k) compared to either screenshots or my friend.
gmapterous2026-01-19 03:14
It’s like any new video game system… it needed a killer app. Bridge Builder wasn’t it. This is.
AuditoreKiller2026-01-19 03:14
I haven't even started it. the initial thing has been sitting in my events since it came out. Im not even a hater, it just doesn't seem appealing to me
StregaJessa2026-01-19 04:23
Likewise. Glad that some people like it. If you won’t make it its own app, please let me delete it off my phone. I’m just not interested.
tetsuham2026-01-19 03:19
I still dgaf lmaooo
Glittering-Ad-16262026-01-19 03:22
Me playing the Murder Mystery Genshin version cuz I used to be obsessed with that server in Roblox before I quit 😅
Dawad20072026-01-19 03:24
I like the concept it's a fun concept. I just hate the fact that all of the good cosmetics are locked behind a pay wall and there isn't a way to get them f2p and as well as the Manekin being useless in the overworld.
It just killed all my excitement for it after I found that out.
Holdupnowson2026-01-19 03:24
I genuinely dont gaf about dos so MW is still a useless feature for me.
poopdoot2026-01-19 03:26
My friend thought it was just a dress up for the manekins and when I told her it was kinda like Roblox with creator made games and stuff she didn’t believe me 🤣
Nodayame2026-01-19 03:26
I don't like most of what I see in MW. The outfits are not that cool tbh and the currency is even more exclusive than primos. It's among some of the worst things to emerge from a gacha game.
The dummy is cool but it could have been in a different system. I also don't need the dummy if I'm building my team correctly. This was done to make players use MW more for sure
Sea-Butterscotch11742026-01-19 03:30
Yes, me with 110 GB of storage left in my PC.
Paiguy72026-01-19 03:32
I still hate it and don't care about a dps dummy
FateBreaker922026-01-19 03:35
It's not that I "doubted" it. It's just that I don't want it to take space in my storage since it comes *with* the game instead of an optional installation.
n0itamina2026-01-19 03:44
I don't really call myself a meta player but I still don't go there.
The truth is It's tempting sometimes to know the exact numbers... but my invested mav shakes her head and grabs my shoulders and asks if she has ever failed.. I reply.. no.. you still nuke the end game and non SO bosses just disappear when you ult. I move my mouse away and continue to explore the main game instead.
italianshamangirl132026-01-19 03:44
Yea me
MassRedemption2026-01-19 03:46
Man this mode was an eye opener for me. I called my Skirk team at 143k DPS. Hopped onto test dummy only to see 96k.... I'm either really bad or my calcs were shit lmao
Tifas-abs-enjoyer2026-01-19 03:47
I like it but I hate it
Because lets not bullshit ourselves with the “different teams” excuse, MW is taking resources that would have been put to more map expansions
Muted_Army28542026-01-19 04:56
You could argue that the initial development took up resources, but it funds itself with its own banners.
So to think that it somehow takes away resources when it’s turning a profit is ridiculous. And yes, it does have its own separate team you dork.
Dark_Magicion2026-01-19 03:50
I had always been waiting for a Simulacrum. That's the only thing I needed. I hope everyone is having an otherwise wonderful time with the rest of Milliastra!
sv1362026-01-19 03:51
I haven't downloaded miliastra wonderland cause I'm afraid it has a huge size and I don't wanna fill up my storage on my phone, otherwise miliastra seems very cool
mee8Ti6Eit2026-01-19 06:08
If you have Genshin then you already downloaded Miliastra. It's part of the game and doesn't take up much space.
Shadow_Eris2026-01-19 03:53
Wait is that a thing a dps tester
Chrisarts20032026-01-19 03:54
the day they lift the paywall on the cosmetics is the day i'll stop hating it
Yosoress2026-01-19 03:55
This just shows Hoyo is like Bethesda , they leave the most desired things that they should add in game to be done by the community , if you think about it MW is basically like that Creation engine thingy that Bethesda released
KH3582026-01-19 03:59
still useless, boring, and doesnt fit this game at all. It should have been a separate thing by a separate team. a dummy should just be in every city since the beginning anyways
JTMonster022026-01-19 04:19
One downside about that DPS tester in MW is that it uses the default controller inputs which suck absolute booty cheeks
TakeyoThissssssssss2026-01-19 04:22
Yeah, it like compared Steam vs EpicStore. People go to EpicStore for freegame doesn't make Epic better than Steam, they just want the freegame.
People only want a dps testing ground, they still dont want MW
CulturalCorner58902026-01-19 04:26
They should’ve made it possible to be F2P without looking like an awful npc. The gacha doesn’t interest me at all bc as far as I can tell, I’ll never get any good costumes
dasbtaewntawneta2026-01-19 04:28
oh yeah, 1 minor useful things was totally worth the major increase in size on disk of the game
0vertones2026-01-19 04:30
MW was, is, and will be a laughable, embarrassing, tacky joke that cheapens Genshin every day it exists. Having a DPS meter does nothing to change that.
Nothing.
Melon7632026-01-19 04:35
I don’t need a damage testing area, all I need to know is if I hit the enemy hard enough it will die
hhhhhBan2026-01-19 04:36
MW will always suck simply because it takes away dev time for a mode that isn't nearly as good as ANYTHING in the actual game when it comes to creating environments or experiences, etc. Just play real Genshin and call it a day instead.
dubrea2026-01-19 04:39
Tbf this has very little to do with them. They just got out of peoples way so they could do it themselves.
MachinegunFireDodger2026-01-19 04:40

Something something loud minority.
Top-Idea-17862026-01-19 04:42
What is this post trying to prove lmao.
ScreechingPizzaCat2026-01-19 04:42
Me. I'll never touch Miliastra. The players asked for skins, the monkey paw curled and now Mihoyo is making skins for a mannequin instead of our favorite characters.
Tobikage19902026-01-19 04:43
Joke's on you, OP. I don't care about MW, and I don't care about my DPS numbers either.
YAmIHereMoment2026-01-19 04:43
Yes
Because a standalone simulation domain where players can test stuff wouldn’t have bloated the install size by so much, nor would it come with its own, completely isolated and somehow worse, gacha system. It is a content island that should’ve been its own separate game.
Also its pretty obvious the last two nations had to suffer for MW’s development. Just look at their sizes compared to previous nations, I think Nod-Krai might have a higher ocean to island ratio than Inazuma, the island nation developed during the height of covid.
suv-am2026-01-19 04:47
I haven't tried it yet. I will eventually, not yet
cochese252026-01-19 04:49
I give it a shot each update and so far I still feel like it's an absolute waste of time with a terrible interface
katravallie2026-01-19 04:49
Me. Because my ping is always above 300ms so endgame is pretty painful for me. I still try to get all rewards every time. But the real time DPS calculator is definitely useful to a lot of people.
I am NOT trying MW unless they release skins for more characters than manekin in MW.

A wins a win though.
Understandable they went the popularity route, but at the same time if players don't want it, I don't really expect it getting that much play time anyway.
Just a little silly thing on the side to do like 1-3 "rounds" if I'm waiting for ~3ish resin so that I can use up all the resin for the day
Miliastra goes all the way back to the first Divine Ingenuity event.
I rarely go in it, but ive found multiple fun games inside, and never had to wait a long time to find people even if i am not playing the super popular ones.
It'll be far from mobile friendly.
To begin with, since it's using in-Genshin assets, it won't even take that much additional resources. The scripting and UI for the Milliastra Wonderland is the part that'll be new and additional add-on.
Doesn't that make it worse the fact that it is easy to literally make but Hoyo refuse to do it?
Either way, it's in the game now, so I don't really care about hanging on to the past.
Looking forward to the future, MW with Teyvat characters allows us to have new "endgame."
people have had tons of ideas of how to implement a fun endgame mode, and now anyone who wants one can create one.
rogue likes with our own characters, dodging games, and whatever else more creative people can think of.
Genuinely asking. I don't know this game.
Would recommend for anyone who like cosmetics/dress up as it's basically one of the highest quality games you can get with very free customization.
Though on the other hand, there was no full body goofy cartoon horse outfit .... I guess we can call it even
Like I said the combat is very simple, even if they did mix it up by giving you a bow and arrow ability in the new region, and enemies that you need more than one hit to take down.
It's fun and chill for a gatcha, even if the game did shoot itself in the foot at it's 1.5 mark for no good reason.
The most player engagement was during the anniversary event where everyone was in put in teams but man, that was a whole blow up in an of itself.
i think if it didnt retcon itself, i could look past it, but at that point there was nothing unique that other games didnt do. theres tons of other things i can use as a pretty dress up sim--- half the reason i started was the story.
but im not a monolith other ppl like other things, im still a lads player so its not like im not engaging w the company in other ways lmao.
So on that note, it’s quite erroneous on OP’s part to generalise that the people not interested in mw are just meta focused players. It’s most certainly a far more diverse crowd than that.
I'm also confused at the thought that thought that people wanting to engage with one level - the training dummy - for one very specific purpose will somehow decide that they like all the other aspects of MW. Even though the other levels have a *very* different purpose.
If you think the devs will create this feature, the skip dialogue would probably end up happening before this.
People who like milistras like it and they won't be convinced its bad, people who think it's shit will continue to think it's shit
all you need is best way to mimic recent 5\* if you dont own it
It won't be long before the players themselves also have to make long-requested features in MW like artifact loadouts, or on-the-fly Traveler element switching, and implement it better than Hoyo themselves ever can.
It’s cosmetic only gacha, and the revenue from that is shared to the stage creators who are making thousands of dollar per month.
I see no reason for the hate even you don’t play MW. It’s something other ppl enjoy obviously.
Though I do wanna add that the quality of the MW stages has gone up by a ton. So honestly im fairly enthusiastic about the future of MW
And now that Teyvat characters are in MW, not only can we implement DPS tests, but I'm sure the genshin community can create even cooler things now.
Hot take (maybe?) but all UGCs are laziness on the dev's part since they just throw the players a bunch of tools and profit off the creativity of the actual people making said UGC.
Mihoyo said it themselves multiple times since MW started
It’s just a matter of time that someone will create a better artifact load out system too. The moment that happens, you can always expect people like OP to play defense for a company that is incredibly incompetent when it comes to implementing popularly requested features
people also asked for multiplayer things to do, they also exist now through MW.
with how these people complain, I wouldn't doubt they would complain about an official test dummy not giving them enough info or not packaged in the way they wanted anyway, better it's made by the community and they can work on it displaying the info they want how they want.
Or replayable past abysses. Or make modern abysses but lower hp. This shit that shit alot of shit. Theres alot of possibilities now. Now hoyo needs to make the gamemode accessible cross servers cuz i know the CN cooking some wack shit over there
If you like it, that's cool. You don't need to act like people who dislike it have the wrong opinion.
Having been enjoyed the creative games from fans.
Many needs works, but the ones that are good are addicting.
/j (but only a little lmao)
Since they will get criticize anyways might as well make a solution that can try satisfy alot of people at once.
esp considering for so long players *asked* about ugc type things (after the first domain building event). there *are* ppl who want to make their own content. there *are* ppl who want to play ugc. there *are* ppl who want to pull for fashion for the mannequin.
and its cool if its not for u. its not a big chunk out of their life if u dont like it as long as enough ppl do. and they *do*.
The gacha aspect of MW still sucks but it doesn't bother me since its just aesthetics.
It just killed all my excitement for it after I found that out.
The dummy is cool but it could have been in a different system. I also don't need the dummy if I'm building my team correctly. This was done to make players use MW more for sure
