With Venti it always feels intentional where he ends up after seeing it so much and the booze is a really believable excuse
With Varka I genuinely can't tell if he did drunkenly stumble to where he knew he needed to be lol
HashtagLowElo2026-01-19 07:24
Genuinely
Varka has shown himself to be very strategic so I won't even be surprised about that either
afflictushydrus2026-01-19 10:10
There's some Anemo to save us in almost every nation so far. Mondstadt - duh. Liyue - Xiao. Inazuma - Kazuha. Sumeru - Wanderer. Fontaine - ok I don't recall any here. Natlan - the random Seelie and the random updraft in the Night Kingdom that appeared so very conveniently just when we needed it, oh and did I mention our Lord and Saviour Barbatos in the Mare Jivari? Nod Krai - Wanderer yet again.
May Lord Barbatos bless you indeed.
flashfroze2026-01-19 10:56
fontaine technically lynette
HashtagLowElo2026-01-19 11:28
To be fair also, we were never in any actual danger in Fontaine. The main threat was the Primordial Water and it doesn't affect the traveller
Usernamenotta2026-01-19 23:06
Lynette is a decently important part in Fontaine quest. Though, granted, we save her more often then not.
Natlan: Chasca is an important fighting companion
taotrooper2026-01-21 22:02
It's not IN Fontaine, but for 4.x we had Wanderer yet again saving us in Simulanka. Bro is the Mr Worldwide of anemo rescues
TrickySource28182026-01-19 14:29
I 100% believe Varka has some sort of Captain America style metabolism where he cant actually get drunk. He just uses the whole genial big drunk guy thing as a ploy to get everyone's guard down.
YellowFogLights2026-01-19 23:50
The winds guide him
NoOne2152026-01-19 07:46
Somehow Varka and Venti are always where you need to be.
WorstSkilledPlayer2026-01-19 07:55
Just like Argenti in HSR, where even Black Swan and Dahlia were absolutely baffled about his sudden appearance 🤣
NoOne2152026-01-19 07:57
Knights are built different.
SecondAegis2026-01-19 09:07
I loved that scene.
How did Argenti get there? He just did. The explanation is that there is no explanation, and it's hillarious
Shamshishamash2026-01-19 09:50
Reminds of a scene in Senyuu where a guy ran to a separate dimension to help his friend who he could feel was in need, because it's the manly thing to do (he doesn't have any ability that would allow him to do so)
Maybe it's a beauty thing lol
Okay_physics_student2026-01-19 14:01
Argenti is the best hsr character
a) he’s GORGEOUS
b) my guy will spawn anywhere anytime for any reason without explanation
i4E5t2026-01-20 17:16
And he’s op as fuck. Taking down one of the swarm bugs by himself 🤯
Okay_physics_student2026-01-20 22:48
It’s the beauty of Idrila. It allows him to go anywhere there is a crisis that can only be solved with the power of The Beauty.

"Ok get in position so traveler isnt suspicious when they find us."
*drinks some booze and passes out in a high traffic off limit area chokepoint*
Traveler: "zomg Venti wtf are you doing drunk here"
Venti: "holy shit what a coincidence"
Paimon: "kek what drunkass bard amirite"
Frustrella2026-01-19 08:00
I fucking love Mondstadt
coffeeaddictfromcebu2026-01-19 08:03
Not to mention the drinking contest with the Pyro Archon, and that time Venti cleared every stock of Aphimead in Tete Isle.

Crack theory: Varka is Grandmaster because he can drink as much as Venti.
leiathrix2026-01-19 09:55
Agreed, I adore this duo so much 😭 I want Venti and Varka to interact in a humorous event so so badly
HashtagLowElo2026-01-19 10:11
I dont think im ready for their interactions but I'm so excited LMAO
MaJuV2026-01-19 09:59
Venti: "I can ensure none of you have liver cirrhosis!"
Mondstadt: "ALL HAIL BARBATOS!" \*cheers of glasses of alcohol clinging\*
HashtagLowElo2026-01-19 10:09
Oh no 😭😭😭
Confident_River_35832026-01-19 10:13

taotrooper2026-01-21 22:04
The way they're canonical drinking buddies. I love that so much, first time we hear Varka's voice is namedropping Barbatos and offering to share his stash with him
HashtagLowElo2026-01-21 22:48
Its so much fun how often Varka references Venti because there's also a dialogue where Varka quotes Venti's "Wouldn't gliding be faster" 😭
In english translation its not a 1:1 reference, but it is 1:1 in CN translation
