As in being able to locate secret chests and other gizmos that lead to chests? Could be difficult since we don't know how they handled those in the prior versions.

Don't worry, the way this game is going it'll only be a couple of patches until we get "Treasure Compass Update: Activate the treasure compass in a region to immediately collect all chests, oculus, solve all puzzles and complete all time-trials". We hope travelers can enjoy not having to explore and play the game.

I don't want my compasses opening the minimap whenever I use them. Hope it'll be optional if the ever implement it.

You're right. Players have to put a lot of effort into closing the minimap. Even though it just opens once before marking everything on the map, thats definitely more effort than spamming the compass every few mins in the same area

Yeah. I rely on the "wave of light" (or whatever is the name for it) that pinpoints me to the chest location as the minimap icon doesn't tell if the chest is on higher or lower ground.

None, I guess. I would love to get true 100% on every map, but I am content as long as every map has an golden 100% under their name. MHY is not really thinking about the players. Why do we have to wait for specific days to farm talent and weapon materials? HSR and WuWa does not have this nonsense. Unlocking it once a patch for a week is not enough. Why cannot I loot a weekly three times a week like in HSR and WuWa? That I why doubt MHY will rework the old compass. Money is everything.
