Exploration progress

So, I check my exploration progress on Hiisi Island is 100%, but when I use the compass. There’s still some chests and culus. Is this kind of bugs? Anyone can help me to explain what’s happened? Also how the devs calculated the exploration progress? Thank you

You're probably new but it's been a well known fact now that 100% exploration doesn't exactly mean 100%. There's still a couple leftovers after 100%, probably to not make people lose their mind looking for that one last mora cache.

Not sure how exploration progress is actually calculated though.

Ohh, since when? NK or Natlan?

I think since 1.0, not sure if it was true on release because I do remember losing my mind over the last 2% of Bishui plain (there were no compasses yet) then an update was released and suddenly I got 100%.
