He'd totally do something like that.

Columbina's voiceline "About The Doctor":
>\[...\] It was only later that I discovered, the closer you are to him, the more freely he uses you. "What's a little discomfort among family? We endure for each other, surely." \[...\]
So never trust his definition of "family"

Dottore sees every relationship as purely transactional. Hence, being closer to him means being more ready to provide service for each other. It’s no surprise he would consider family to be the people he can extract the most use out of.
In that regard, I genuinely think he would have done anything Columbina requested in return— the same way he offers the Traveler anything. Bina just never wanted anything from him, so never asked.

I know this is a ragebait considering your name but I'm willing to take the bait
Name one culture where it is ok to be experimented on by your family members
DottoresPet2026-01-19 13:46
I did not say that is ok, I just said: families endure for each other. That's basic common sense. I help my mom carry stuff because she has joint issues, and she helps me manage economy because I have AuDHD. We cook for each other. That's not abusive.
Dottore's "experiments" on Columbina consisted of asking her to move things with Kuuvahki. Nothing unethical here, and never once did he force her. She just left, ungratefully. You can hardly call what he did then "experiments" at all.
UltraPhoenix952026-01-19 13:56
That's the twisted part! It's like the deal he proposed to the Traveler: it *sounds* right, but it is very clear that he is not telling all the details
DottoresPet2026-01-19 13:59
The traveler is used to collaborating with mass murderers, war criminals, dictators, and child traffickers. If that's the standard the traveler works with, I fail to see how Dottore is any different just because he's a (diagnosed) psychopath.
UltraPhoenix952026-01-19 14:07
That was totally NOT what I was talking about
existinguy02026-01-19 15:49
So so reading all your comments, I wanna are you okay dude ,like life sucks but still stop being a pet like your name suggests 😮💨
Obvious-Childhood9102026-01-19 13:25
Doesn't matter what the psychopath labels it. In the end, he planned to experiment on her (already did some if I'm not wrong)
DottoresPet2026-01-19 13:37
She agreed to doing it, and Dottore didn't stop her from leaving, don't forget that
DottoresPet2026-01-19 13:36
Poor guy just wants a family, but since the world already labelled him as "irredeemable" whem he was a child, he figured it doesn't make a difference whether he's a villain or tries to redeem himself. People will hate him either way. In universe as well as in the fanfom. Even good things he does is gonna be seen as "manipulative" when it's just him trying to forge connections through intellectualization of empathy when he can't feel affective empathy because of his disordered personality.
Throughout the quest I could feel how much he just wanted someone to relate to as he is trying to break free of his fate as being "irredeemable". He's desparate.
