Didn’t think much about it till today when I saw ppl talk about it but is there a reason Bina should be on silken and ineffa on aubade of Morningstar ?

Been playing them together obviously, but I just assumed the new set was good for bina so farmed it for her and I already have a decent set of silken for ineffa, they both are lunar reaction support sets so why are they on each set? I’m happy to farm for both sets and switch them but can anyone explain to me like a 5 year old why silken is better on bina

You always want 1 Silken on the team, and the team’s overall damage is like 2% higher if Columbina has it than Ineffa

It’s not 100% necessary though, you only lose a tiny bit by putting it on Ineffa instead of Columbina

Yeah, I shuffle teams and parties a lot, so that level of micro ain’t worth it to me.

Its the same reason I didn’t bother with the Deepwood/Gilded swap on dendro/electro characters during Sumeru when those artifact sets released.

I was lucky cause I put HP% on my Aino for survivability because of critical skill issue, and I prioritised crit rate for Favonius

Basically, My Aino had a near perfect Columbina build, and hearing that she’s the best holder for a Flineffa team felt so nice

This is why I use double scroll on Citlali and Xilonen, Sure it is slightly better if I swap but I also use them in non-Mavuika teams and the drop there without scroll is more important. The day we get actual loadouts is the day I take having multiple sets viable.

It’s moreso that the new set is BiS for ~~Lauma and~~ Ineffa.

It’s good for columbina, but one teammate needs to hold Silken, so you give it to her. She also appreciates the 2-pc ER set buff more than the EM buff.

Lauma doesn’t care for it. She doesn’t do any Lunar Bloom dmg off field and you’re mainly stacking EM on her as a support.

So far you only want the new set on Ineffa and Columbina depending on team.

If this is a meta question, then Kazuha is a big downgrade from Sucrose. For overworld, go ahead. Since the team doesn't have any exploration abilities, Kazuha can be pretty nice to use and the team will already kill anything in overworld easily.

Just a tip - if you don’t care about Sucrose being a driver and just want her as a EM sharing support, she barely needs any investment. All her EM sharing ability comes from her A1 and A4 passives, so all she needs is A4 (lv60/70), and then stack as much EM as possible. No talent levels required, and you save a lot of resin by not needing to lv90 her. Lv90 is only necessary if you use her as a driver for swirl teams.

Since it was a meta question - let me elaborate on "why?"

Kazuha's main buff is dmg% of elements that he swirled, but dmg% doesn't affect lunar damage at all. And this team is like 90% lunar damage.

On the other hand - sucrose shares an absurd 20% or her EM with entire party as a buff. And while EM doesn't affect "reactionless" damage, it affects all lunar damage (that's just how lunar damage works)

That's why kazuha was greater before, but in nod-krai specifically - sucrose is a queen.

Yes mainly for VV, however this team doesn't really appreciate dmg bonus while it massively benefits from EM which is why Sucrose is preferred because she can provide EM buff.

So in a perfect world you actually want both of them on the new set. But somebody on the team needs to hold Silken Moon. Previously Aino was the one holding it, so as Columbina replaces her she has to hold the set. Sucrose has VV and isn’t going to want to get rid of that, and Ineffa’s personal dmg is too important in the team to give it up for Silken Moon (Ineffa outdamages Columbina). Also, Silken Moon helps reduce Columbina’s ER requirements by giving 20% ER with the 2pc effect.

In other teams where there is room for another Silken Moon holder, Columbina can use the new Morningstar set. For example, Nefer teams have Lauma and Nahida on Deepwood/Silken Moon, so Columbina can hold Morningstar. Zibai teams with C2 Illuga can give him Silken Moon while Columbina uses Morningstar.

I want to say that in Nefer's team you would rather give the instructor set to your 4th slot and Silken to Columbina.
EM is a much better stat in that team than in Flins'.

Ineffa has more sub dps value than Bina and it gets further buffed by Bina where Bina does damage but also needs more er than those 2 so silken was favoured for her and morning star for ineffa
