f2p nahida and columbina weapons
hii! i just started playing genshin again a few weeks ago (because i heard that bina was finally getting her banner) after not playing actively since 2024; my last 5 star before columbina was furina lmaoo, so it's been a while!
but anyway, my team rn is furina, nahida, ayaka, and bina. i'm still building them so this may end up fixing itself, but i wanted to ask around anyway.
i've heard that mappa mare is better for nahida's damage, but i have both her and columbina on prototype amber because i find that i really need the healing, especially with furina's elemental burst. how bad is that?? like, if i put nahida on mappa for higher damage, will i just be dying instantly? i need some advice!
tldr; is it bad to have two characters on prototype amber?? :,)

If you're willing to change your team I'd highly recommend Nahida/Columbina/Fischl/Xingqui, especially if Fischl is C6, as this will do electro and hydro damage when you do normal attack with Nahida for constant elemental reactions that add up to pretty high damage (especially with Columbina converting all of those to Lunar damage)
If you're not willing to change that much, Ayaka would be best replaced with an Electro character (ideally a healer) to get Lunar Charged and Hyperbloom. If the electro character is a healer you can put Mappa Mare on Nahida and still get the full value from Furina because of the healer.
If you really like all 4 of these characters, you can split it into
Nahida/???/???/Columbina for a Lunar Bloom team and Furina/???/???/Ayaka for a Freeze team.
For specific suggestions, Nahida/Xingqui/Fischl/Columbina for a Lunar team
And Furina/???/Diona/Ayaka for a Freeze team. Diona is a healer that can help you make full use of Furina's burst. The last slot is a lot more flexible. Sucrose for swirl and support, or Mona for extra damage buffs and hydro resonance, or Candace for damage supports and hydro resonance
i'm saving for lauma right now, i've heard she's amazing with columbina, and i do intend to pull for sigewinne eventually so maybe she could be a replacement healer? though it seems like kokomi is the highest healer on everyone's lists. i'm definitely gonna revisit kokomi and try to give her some better stats. i'll be referring back to this, though, because it's super helpful!! thank you :D
I am going into detail about different reactions and how to trigger them, if you feel it's too much to take in at once, you can take your time reading it, or you can read "Easy Reactions" and "Lunar Reactions", as those are the ones that are easiest for you to make use of
**Easy Reactions**
The easiest reactions to use are these:
\- Pyro/Fire + Cryo/Ice (Melt)
\- Pyro/Fire + Hydro/Water (Vaporize)
\- Electro/Electric + Dendro/Grass (Aggravate)
These reactions are easier to use because they are based on the character's own damage. You can build a character for personal damage, and they'll still get a huge damage boost from it (example: when the Pyro/Fire character attacks a wet opponent, it will deal at least 1.5x the original damage)
**Other Reactions**
Other reactions deal a base damage that gets increased based on your Elemental Mastery stat. These ones require more specialized builds to make full use of. These kinds of reactions are
\- Anemo/Wind + Fire, Ice, Water, or Electric (Swirl)
\- Electro/Electric + Hydro/Water (Electro-Charged)
\- Electro/Electric + Pyro/Fire (Overload)
\- Dendro/Grass + Hydro/Water (Bloom, creating little grass pods)
\- These pods do no damage until hit by Fire (Burgeon) or Electricity (Hyperbloom)
For the most part Swirl is the most useful of these reactions. If you take an Aggravate Team (Dendro/Grass + Electro/Electric) and add a Hydro/Water character, you'll add Hyperbloom damage on top of Aggravate damage.
**Specialized Reactions**
There's a few other reactions as well:
\- Cryo/Ice + Hydro/Water (Freeze)
\- Geo/Earth + Fire, Ice, Water, or Electricity (Crystallize)
\- Cryo/Ice + Electro/Electric (Superconduct)
These reactions don't do much on their own. Freeze works with some specific artifacts and cryo resonance (2 or more cryo/ice characters). Crystallize does no damage on its own but creates shields, and a few specific characters interact with it in other ways. Superconduct does low damage, but makes enemies take increased physical damage. Physical damage is the pure white damage numbers.
**Lunar Reactions**
Lunar Reactions are all based on Hydro/Water. They take a lot of the weaker reactions from the previous lists and increase their damage to make them very powerful. Since you're using Columbina, she provides the Hydro/Water and the ability to do Lunar reactions. The reactions are:
\- Columbina + Electro/Electric makes Lunar Charged
\- Columbina + Geo/Earth makes Lunar Crystallize
\- Columbina + Dendro/Grass makes Lunar Bloom
**Teambuilding**
The team I suggested for you to use with Nahida/Xingqiu/Fischl/Columbina makes use of all the following reactions:
\- Lunar Bloom
\- Lunar Charged
\- Hyperbloom
\- Aggravate
The team I suggested with Furina/???/Diona/Ayaka makes use of the following reactions:
\- Freeze
\- Swirl (if Sucrose)
To make full use of Freeze, you need double Cryo/Ice characters (done by Diona + Ayaka), as well as at least one Hydro character (Furina). You can use Blizzard Strayer artifact set or Marachaussee Hunter set, first one is made for freeze teams and the other is made for Furina teams, both are about equally strong. For that last slot I would recommend Sucrose with Viridescent Venerer artifact set because with that artifact set her Swirl reactions will cause enemies to take more Hydro/Water and Cryo/Ice damage, which will help Ayaka do more damage.
i'm hoping to pull for zibai next month so maybe i can get that lunar crystallize team going !!
