Do yall think genshin impact 2 will come out?
Thats smth im wondering abt, since we have at least 3 more years to go (snezhnaya, khaenria, celestia) maybe hyperborea but im not sure if its gonna be a playable region. If genshin impact part 2 will come out my biggest fear is that i wont be able to transfer my accounts and that the characters from teyvat chapter wont get reruns anymore. What do you guys think?

>!At the end of the AQ it was stated civilizations outside Teyvat could now detect it after we brought the moon down and tore through the fake sky. Also, during Return to Sender, it was heavily implied the "Apocalypse" was something that dwelled outside the "sky veil" (false sky) and it was something extremely dangerous and it was coming for Teyvat.!<
With the introduction of this information, space ships, Skirk's SQ drawing attention to other planets, and Surtalogi leaving Teyvat (and probably not coming back), and the fact Skirk will eventually have to fight him, it's safe to assume the devs are setting the story up so we leave Teyvat and explore other planets after Teyvat's chapter wraps up. >!We've even stepped on the Moon already.!<
A few livestreams ago they even said they intended to run Genshin for at least 20 years. Not make a sequel. You have nothing to worry about.
2 decades is a long time, eventually the tech debt becomes to high and the limits to obvious.
What's even the point when the game has 500 characters and the average players rooster is 300+?
5 years since we last mentioned Teyvat and 8 years since a particular character (that you pulled 10 years ago) was last mentioned (at a point where they'd have to mention several characters a day just to mention them once per year) but hey, at least it's still the same game and not GI2
I just can't imagine playing a single game for so long. What's the point in it still technically being the same game where I got Amber in 2020 when we already left Teyvat behind years ago and I got 200 additional characters since then?
In 2030 do I really care that the Raiden I pulled in 2021 is still buried somewhere in my character list when the game has marched on so far and she hasn't been relevant since 2027?
I am probably just not a Gacha player. I mean I play Genshin, but I am just one of those tourists that got caught in Genshin's orbit due to the unique circumstances around it's release and now kept by sunk cost fallacy. But eventually that won't be enough anymore.
I guess the end of the Teyvat chapter will be the end of my time with Genshin. It just feels like if they would release a Genshin 2: Chapter 2 with a fresh modern engine (and generous bonuses based on your imported Genshin 1 account) would feel like a more complete breaking point to me. Would give me personally a better feeling of closure.
It's the first gacha I ever player and it will remain the only gacha I ever play.
I also didn’t have a good experience playing Season 2 of HI3rd, mostly because I was forced to play the earliest chapters, which really made me notice how outdated the game is.
Teyvat being the first chapter does NOT mean there will be a separate game for the next chapter. It will still be *this* game. Genshin Impact. They're not gonna create an entirely new game and make people lose out on the rosters they've build up over the years.
