I know there's plenty of players who simply don't care about damage numbers. That's fine. Hell, it's probably the healthiest way to play the game. This is more for the people who have been testing different teams and *want* to have good damage numbers.

For some context -- I've seen people posting their different builds and teams against the DPS Dummy. Some of the differences seem pretty small. Like, I've seen someone go full sweatlord mode to go from 100k DPS to 110k DPS. I've seen others who question what they're doing wrong, because they assumed they had a strong Team, only to find out they're struggling to hit 85k DPS.

Then I look at my experience and some of the other showcases posted. I can go full Unga Bunga on my Flins Team and hit 500k DPS. A *slight* alteration to get his 4 burst rotation, and I'm over 600k DPS. Put differently, a bit of optimization is the difference between someone else's full output.

That's at the Whale Level, obviously, but also exists at lower levels. Someone who simply has a C2 Flins and a C2 Columbina (easy with saving and some slight spending) will *easily* reach 250k - 300k DPS. That's essentially double what a C0 Team can do, and it just takes a little investment.

So, how do people feel about this? Is it discouraging? Do people not care? Does is seem like too much of a difference with constellation Powercreep?

Personally, I see the constellation Powercreep as good and bad. On the bad side, it's *clearly* designed to get people to spend. On the good side, it means you can keep your favorite relevant in the Meta, and it can greatly extend the shelf life of characters.

On the other hand, these things also distort my view on which characters are better than others. When I see intense debate over who the new Top DPS is, and they're comparing 140k numbers to 150k numbers like it's somehow game breaking, it just doesn't make sense. It's such a miniscule difference, it's basically inconsequential. I know that's my own brain rot kicking in, but do people *really* perceive differences this small?
