Thanks to Columbina lifting some of the restrictions Asmoday or HP placed upon us, Traveler can already use bit of Cryo powers :)
Bit dissapoiting the cooldown on it is so high, still it is really cool new attack and cool to see Aether using mutliple elements at once

This looks lame as hell lol. Why are the elements all just silly tornadoes?
It just so happens that Anemo is, well, Anemo. Technically, what's happening here is just advanced elemental swirling, hence the tornado look.
Then each element has its own extra effect after that.
Anemo - summons up to 4 PHEC tornados depending on your teammate's elemental attacks.
Geo - increases shield strength
Electro - after 3 seconds, deals lightning strike the enemy and drops the electro thingy which regains 3-4 energy when picked up
Dendro - summons 2 plants left one explodes after 4 seconds, right one explodes after 8 seconds.
Hydro - if above 50% hp, lose 10% hp to boost damage, if below 50% hp heal 25% hp.
Pyro - only damage boost, no extra effect.
The stat increases are a nice bonus, but the CA would have to be a Mauvika nuke to be worth including Traveler in a party and using it in a rotation
Once you have a team with premium carry and their supports, Traveler is IT filler.
Being relevant for the first few months of the game and then benched forever is a sad fate.
They wouldn't want to make too much money now would they
Playing the Genshin MC is depressing especially when forced to play them in Archon quests with trial characters. At least the devs showed mercy in the recent quest by giving the Hydro MC Ainos kit, too bad it was just for the Archon quest.
i do think hsr feels way less predatory tho, from what i remember of the time i played at least… the impression i felt was a little bit more generous…
His powers were sealed. Literally explained at the start of the game.
>there is no good explanation for this
Yes there is... dude.
Someone please help me with this one, I don't even know where to start.
>we would pull regardless.
But less so. When considering purely the financial aspect, the more powerful the Traveler is, the less the desire for premium characters. Even if by only a small amount - it all adds up.
And once again... the Traveler's powers being sealed is integral part of the story. Slowly regaining the powers is part of the story progression.
...
And besides, it has already been proven by HSR that people will still pull for premium characters/supports despite having a powerful MC.
So yeah they really just don't care about the traveler. I don't get why you're defending a billion dollar company for skimping out on making the MC actually playable. The guy is hailed as a "powerful hero" in several nations but his gameplay is so ass and hits like a wet noodle. Not very lore accurate if you ask me.
Say that to hoyo, not me.
>If we were really tying character power to gameplay
For the most part, we're not. That's an assumption on your side, not mine. Lore-wise, Traveler's powers are sealed. **This is canon, no matter how much you want to disagree.**
>Not very lore accurate if you ask me.
Indeed, almost like it was never really about his gameplay in the first place and you made that up to argue against.
Yes there is. Travelers' powers being sealed away is a major plot point introduced right at the start and then reiterated in the current AQ (probably somewhere in-between as well, I can't remember right now). This also serves as a driving force for the whole mystery behind the elements and light, which has been more or less solved recently in Nod Krai, at least on the surface level. There's genuinely no reason you shouldn't know this stuff unless you're not paying attention, in which case... why are you so confident in your statements about things you know so little about? You could've easily looked it up on the internet in the time it took you to write that comment
I mean, wtf is Hydro? He could've been a healer, for example, instead of taking field time to hit with a water gun that tickles opponents.
The reason PMC and DMC work is because they know their place: off-field. Back when the game released, Geo was better than Anemo because you could off-field it. They should rework all elements to better work off-field. EMC could have been an Electro Xiangling for example.
I just hope they don't screw up Cryo too, but I don't have my hopes up, considering its buff will be 20% CD. It's clear it gonna take field time, the damage will suck and nobody will use it.
Sincerely, a Traveler Main.
Most people like to use Traveler in the overworld, for immersion, making every version botched on-field would simple make no one use them REALLY. This game should not be guided purely by Abyss/SO, and I still play it because overall, it is not. Anyway, I clear Abyss/SO with them still, just like other mains do it with their faves, and I'm fine with that
And is exactly because 4/6 forms are sub-dps or full support that I know very well the dread that it is
The rest of the kit is useless but DMC is also off-field for their burst.
but i think anemo traveller might be meta now
you swirl multiple elements at once means your VV shreds them ALL at the same time means rather consistent aoe VV for your whole party
people glazed kazutrash a lot because with tech you could double swirl now you got triple/quadruple swirl and it doesnt seem to take skill too no?
