Do i have Mavuika? Yes, i Main Her, because shes the Himeko of Genshin, not because shes Meta, and 2 of her Constellations are from skipping every natlan banner before she released. Do i have Flins? Yes, but cause he sold me with his aura, not because hes Meta. Do i have Alhaitham? No, because he plays like I'm attempting to swim through Treacle on Mobile and i do not like him enough to get him as a Bench warmer like Skirk.
Its possible to beat all endgames with pretty much any character, barring outright immunity.

I've made a couple of wacky teams that kinda just work in the past, one of which has Ayato as main DPS, and another which has Kinich/Emilie/Durin/Benny (idk if that's meta or not but idc because I just really like Kinich)

The kinich team is sorta 50/50. Realistically, you either drop Bennet for a Hexarei or Durin for Dehya/Thoma, but otherwise yeah, it should be meta against anything that gets fucked by Burning.

Understandable. Varessa overload is theoretically her best team, but i use her in a Lunarcharge setup because its comfortable lol.

My current favorite team to play is Clorinde, Columbina, Ineffa, Baizhu. Columbina and Ineffa are not built yet, so it does clear slowly, but it is fun. It is mostly ready for Flins if I decide to pull him as I kinda want a dedicated Lunar DPS now that I have Columbina and Ineffa. I love Neffer in the story, but her gameplay feels a bit underwhelming to me and I do not like Zibai's design (might change once we meet her in the game), so that leaves me with Flins as I have nothing to say against him, design is perfect, personality is perfect and gameplay seems fun. Hard to leave my Clorinde a bit behind, but she can cover Overload for me.

You’re pretty fortunate that meta + characters you like aligned well though. Especially with the powercreep, unless people are willing to pull characters they don’t like to wheelchair the characters they do like, a lot of the older characters are going to struggle to clear fearless or even menacing.
I’m also lucky but if I didn’t like the newer characters my Ganyu, Raiden, and Hu Tao would be abysmal.

Abyss is not even end game anymore and no meta check there, Inazume to the beginning of Fontaine was too mild, hardly noticeable.. but I agree about not caring.

I don't think Inazuma was the moment, probably Fontaine and only at the tail end. Natlan was when the break start to break and now in Nod Krai is basically full send, now even if you can clear with only 4\* teams end game content you have to struggle a ton and probably need builds only 0.01% players have. I still enjoy the game but I wish we could see a break from the cycle of new team in new region does so much dmg the previous one look like jokes.

man I miss those days. Noelle and Xinyan held out for so long. Noelle ALOT longer since Furina and Her meshed so well. Columbina MIGHT do the same but closest I get is Xinyan PLunge with Xianyun. I don't have Citlali so I can't fully achieve what I want but it's no Gaming and I've seen him hit 140k dps. if I can hit 100k on Xinyan I'm going for it. but right now. I atleast have Nefer who I love as much as Noelle and Xinyan. first 5 star to make me wanna C2R1 and I may C6 in the future when she reruns I'll try for a constellation so I can keep her going for much longer.
surprisingly Varka is the next Unit i've been absolutely excited for. I hope the youtube Vids I keep seeing don't turn out the way they say but I'm very excited for him. but I may not get him since I lost 50/50 Columbina and have to use this versions rolls entirely for her.

Last Stygian againts the Iktomisaur, Amber was literally SSS-tier meta. Her burst having low ICD due to the many hits is able to easily melt the flying rat's shield

Like, I started playing six months after the release of the game, and it took me like four or five months to catch up with all the Archon Quests, Legendary Quests, World Quests and exploration before Inazuma came out.
Would it be an exaggeration to say that it could take more than a year for a casual player that it's not playing 24/7?

i played from launch until they released sumeru. stopped playing 4 years ago and literally put the game back on my pc 2 days ago. i work full time and dont have more than maybe 2 hours a day to play video games so i expect it to take me a while to catch up, especially bc my account is kind of awful since i didnt build any characters and only played the ones i liked best in the story. it will def take me months to catch up and thats not even starting completely from scratch.
