Columbina sent them to live out the rest of thier depowered lives somewhere on Teyvat and in an unspecified timeline. I wonder if we'll get to find out how that turned out.

They can't. But we spoke to her marrow, and if was only a fading consciousness (since she had been "saved" from dying by the Abyss).

It's not "in an unspecified timeline", it's the regular timeline, as when we find the Iridescent Moon Marrow in Act 3, the voice coming from it (Sonnet) refers to Columbina as "Hypo"
