Teambuilding with Anemo and Electro

I am new to the game and want to understand teambuilding. I am currently planning on doing a build with the traveler (Amemo), Jean, Fischl and maybe Lisa or Sethos. Should I invest in this by getting the traveler C6 with the VV artifact set? I think it has potential. Can you guys tell my why it isn't a good thing to invest in? Or why it is?

You aren't doing any reactions in that team. Anemo increases the damage of other reactions. It's basically useless with only one other element if you are making a reaction based team.

At the start of the game just focus on leveling up a dps and support characters. When you get far enough into the game that you actually need a proper team you will have gotten more characters.

If you want advice on who to pull for, both the current 5 stars Ineffa and Columbina are very good and are one of the best duos if you can pull both.

Ah okay, makes sense tho. But out of curiosity; isn't swirl also a reaction? I thought because it scales with elemtal mastery that it could be decent? Or does swirl not scale enough in and on itself?

Swirl can be used as a sole reaction but it is one of the worst reactions if you are using it that way. It's mainly use is reapplying elements to trigger more reactions from the two main elements in your team. The damage done by the reactions caused by swirl is based on the Anemo character's EM, that is why EM is important for swirl characters.

Unlike Other chars, the travelers C6 is free so go for it. And Artefacts do you have to farm anyways till the end of time.
I would recommend to not invest too much in artefacts till you are Lvl 45 and get 100% 5star artefacts. But a few won't hurt.
And always remember to level the Talents. Those are very important

I would not even build Traveler starting out, if you have it build Sucrose if you want to swirl or use the free Jean you can have.

Also are you new? You have to do exploration: you need a guy with a claymore like Razor to mine and one fire unit like Amber for puzzles.

So first team is: Razor main, Barbara healer, Kaeya for superconduct + shatter with Razor, Amber for puzzles (swap her with Fischl on bosses).
