And now they're separated for eternity, despite being so close by to each other physically :(
Expensive-Novel84642026-01-20 09:45
In body and soul you mean.
Oceanshan2026-01-20 11:51
Why don't they use Columbina body to make their physical body, then set up kamera like webcam to talk to other, and occasionally hot streamy shone pex sessions like a normal long distance couple? Are they stupid?

Donāt forget the genocide
KombuchaWay2026-01-20 12:10
I find it funny and hypocrite of 90%+ from people here, that genocide is only acceptable and loved when done by a woman in this game lol
xDarkWindx2026-01-20 12:29
Man, you are genociding hilichurls everyday

The_One_Muffin2026-01-20 10:13
I find it funny that Rerirs story is similar to Vachers, someone willing to do anything for love, but everyone hated Vacher for it.
BakuGO20062026-01-20 10:37
Vacher was A LOT less disturbed by his own actions and basically never doubted himself, also he lacks the abyss making him go even more insane, or the implication that the moment he stops doing what heās doing heāll get killed.
Gre3n_Tea2026-01-20 10:44
I'd argue that his victims had it worse, at least Rerir killed them fast
BakuGO20062026-01-20 10:45
Oh yeah definitely
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-20 11:06
Vacher's victims were slowly living a torturous short life in knowing that they'll be next.
In a way, Rerir at the very least stalked them before just killing them.
Difficult-Ground-6602026-01-20 12:17
I disagree. Imagine your entire ethnic is getting killed. Your relatives and friends suddenly disappear, the hiding from authority, not knowing who to trust, not knowing when itās your turn and when Rerir finds you, he gets to your family and friends as well.
The deaths may be fast but the life before it must have been hell.
einUbermensch2026-01-20 12:35
True, I admit though I don't put the blame for that on Rerir. He was a Knife but the one that wielded it and decided a whole bloodline had to go was the Vinster King and from what we saw saying "no" to him was a great way to get you and your whole family purged. Rerir is still a murderer but he is not the true cause.
Gre3n_Tea2026-01-20 12:51
Both spectrums sucks, one is seeing your own body melt in some underwater facility and other one being hunted by your own government. Also people being more positive towards him probably has something to do with him being more relatable, at least in my case. I'm legally an adult now and if the president decided to announce a full on mobilisation (which I hope he won't), I won't be able to do anything with this. And another reason is probably the existence of HP and Rhinnedottir, after knowing about things they did I can't really see other antagonists as bad ones.
Various_Mobile47672026-01-20 11:57
Yeah its actually a common repeating theme. Not just these stories
JustRevival2026-01-20 10:24
That's deep
DeathToBoredom2026-01-20 10:42
If we're talking about Columbina, then no. He fought because he was angry with the world. His love was already dead. He had nothing going for him but anger and he wanted to end the world.
Suspicious_Trouble852026-01-20 11:11
What the cause of his anger bro?
Strider_GER2026-01-20 11:54
There is something called Reading. In this case reading the Story of Nod Krai.
Madzai2026-01-20 11:12
Yeah, but there is whole story about killing children....
On the other hand it's more about overall campaign to "downgrade" and downplay Khaenri'ah as the whole. From strongest Godless nation that attracted people from the whole world and use Mountian-sized mecha to a joke.
Alpha06Omega092026-01-20 11:23
Turns out you get a better view of then you actually get more examples from it.
Madzai2026-01-20 13:22
Sorry, i don't get you point. My point is that in Rerir memories it's a complete dysfunctional state, tainted with abyss to the brim. And it was like this even for previous Dynasty (which draw power from Abyss also). They even have food shortage. What even happened above ground so they can't get food in? It really contradicts a lot of previous lore, even Dainslef quests. Even the whole Abyss incursion is about Gold just releasing all the stuff and Sinner dipping into Abyss, not the other way around.
Alpha06Omega092026-01-20 13:41
āContradicts previous loreā my man are you even filed in on previous lore. They never brought food in from above, they grew it using their exclusive alchemy using khemia. Nothing in contradicting, your just hearing things from different people with different lives. No shi dain is gonna glaze khenriah, characters have biases. As you look deeper and gain more knowledge you understand what's really happening.
Dain in reference to sumeru said āthe god of wisdom makes no moves against itā yeh then we learned the god was trapped and had no hand in what was done in sumeru. Information has faints and now what we are not seeing khenriah from its glorified lense, its secrets are comming out.
From arles weapon lore, we learned about the prelude to the genoside and what happened with the overthrowing of the crimson moon, it was never some pure or good event. There is no downplay when you just learning the truth about khenriah and grtting rid of the rose tinted glasses.
Yarmungar2026-01-20 11:22
Poor child murder...
Too good for this world, too pure
AnarchyRadish2026-01-20 11:26
you do know you can appreciate some parts of a character and criticize the rest ryt?
LaplaceZ2026-01-20 13:05
He's extremely human.
That's why people appreciate his character.
Yarmungar2026-01-20 13:58
Sure,.Hitler was also human, loved art, loved animals
LaplaceZ2026-01-20 14:05
What a baby you are. You can only see extreme good or extreme evil.
Once you grow up and see the real world, you will be very disappointed.
BurningClown2026-01-20 11:26
Yyyyeah, he also killed children and commit genocide to thousands and only stopped when she was his next assigned target.
Suspicious_Trouble852026-01-20 11:28
They showed him as a heartless character who even don't hesitate to kill children but stops his works that he was doing for years just for a women he loves
super-venon2026-01-20 12:27
... because he is heartless? Its amazing that because is fiction then is ok to genocide but as soon as he stop doing it for a woman he becomes a good man. I guess that could work irl too
AgentMG2026-01-20 12:31
don't give anyone any fucking idea
Belmega812026-01-20 12:05
They were like animals! And he slaughtered them like animals!
LaplaceZ2026-01-20 13:01
That's just human nature.
On one side you have the true love of your life. On the other side you have innocent children. How many children does it take for you to abbandon the love of your life?
Suniruki2026-01-20 11:33
killed most of her blood kin too, to maintain status quo. and only stopped because she was next in lone.
arseholierthanthou2026-01-20 15:08

Anyone else feel like his appearance being fairly reminiscent of Anakin Skywalker was not at all accidental?
Orgfet2026-01-20 12:11
True
yaysyu2026-01-20 12:49
Nope. There were a lot of parallels back in 6.2. Dead kids, their relationship with their respective partners, downfall to the darkside and obviously appearance.
Biobait2026-01-20 13:47
Calms down after his defeat and helps the protagonist.
IS_Mythix2026-01-20 13:32

TwinklingStarlight2026-01-20 13:47
Hes literally the Anakin Skywalker of Genshin my dude
THE_DEVIL13092026-01-20 12:45
I like how everyone pretends their militaries are entirely innocent. He did it and it was wrong but he knew it was wrong and stopped. He didn't do it for fun but cause he believed in his nation.
Nelogenazea2026-01-20 13:56
He only grew a conscience once it affected him personally.
Dude is responsible for killing kids in a genocide. There's a reason "just following orders" isn't a good defense anymore.
Neospanner2026-01-20 15:12
It always was and still is a good defense - as anyone who's actually been in such a situation knows very well. When every choice you have is an awful one, you do your best to protect yourself and the ones you love. It's only natural.
It's simply the case that it's no longer an ACCEPTABLE defense. People who have the luxury and good fortune of never being in a situation where all outcomes are horrible take the moral high ground and try to dictate how the people involved SHOULD have acted.
It's easy for someone to believe they'd be a hero, that they'd make the RIGHT choice - until they're the one who actually has a gun pointed at their head.
Honestly, it's unfair to judge - but perhaps it's necessary. If the choice changes from, "Do a bad thing or die" to "Die whether or not you do the bad thing", there's less reason to do the bad thing. It'll still happen, of course, since refusing to do the bad thing means you face consequences NOW, while doing it means you face them LATER - but it might deter a few people.
THE_DEVIL13092026-01-20 21:44
I'm not saying he was right or what he did was right either. But more like what else was he supposed to do? Go against the government n definitely get killed or silently follow orders of those he believed in hoping he wasn't wrong to place his trust in them.
Not everyone has the courage to against their nation moreso a tyrannical one like that. Yes he only acted when it finally came to his lover but people always act more strongly when it comes to their own family than strangers.
Doesn't make it right but everyone seems to be making him more of a villain than he was. I personally believe it was the circumstances that led to it and if someone is really to blame then it's the ones who gave out that order in the first place.

IDF soldier character. Deserved every ounce of pain he's gotten.
Xerxes4572026-01-20 15:27
I think itās nice he showed great devotion towards someone he loves. Even going so far to do all these bad things. I say nice but really towards the love someone part, but the bad things he did were yeah. It makes me wonder if he really thought it through considering who she was.
