Why don't they make more genshin manga? And why they stopped translating the last few chapters of this manga?
Is it because they want all information and the lore to be in the game? Or there's something more to it?

Because they didnt have the lore planned in the long run and dont want to commit to it until they are completely sure.
some of the stuff in the manga hasnt even been elaborated till this day thats how many lore threads it touched.
like the whole story with diluc and the fatui
venti's reaction and memories of celestia
vanessa's ascension.
KaiFireborn212026-01-20 10:22
??? It'll be touched upon later, we aren't even in Snezhnaya yet bruv
ejsks2026-01-20 11:11
Conveniently leaving out Collei and the whole deal with Dottore.
Diluc and the Fatui is also directly mentioned in Nod-Krai.
Venti and Celestia hadn’t been mentioned yet because WE‘RE NOWHERE NEAR CELESTIA. (Also it‘s been strongly hinted at in-game that he knows shit)

1. We are not even at Snezhnaya yet. 2. Vanessa has been mentioned many times in-game and her tribe was finally mentioned and was revealed to be destroyed by the Bakunawa. 3. Diluc and the Fatui is also mentioned in Nod-Krai. 4. We are barely learning about Celestia besides the Shades and the Heavenly Principles which the latter 2 had lore importance and the Shades had a animated short where we finally got to see them. And the HP got lore. 5. There is Collei’s sickness and Dottore’s Sanatorium.

Because part of manga not canon
Apostlethe13th2026-01-20 10:45
Canon was mentioned in this manga so it is indeed Canon.
imbusthul2026-01-20 12:47
Its all canon. If you are talking about the Muratans, just do the Last Survivor of Tenochiztoc quest in Natlan.
Artistic_Cable62182026-01-20 17:20
I already did it, but I think they change some stuff
imbusthul2026-01-20 17:30
I don't think so.
imbusthul2026-01-20 19:06
Your message didn't appear but, some dragons did side with the Usurpers according to Apep and Celestia didn't try to kill all the Dragons either.
Artistic_Cable62182026-01-20 19:16
fair enough

Comics were a huge part of Genshin's older sister game, Honkai Impact 3rd. HI3 made comics up until 2020, but then they stopped.
The devs stated that it was difficult to keep a consistent narrative between different media like that. They liked to use said external media because it allowed them to tell stories they couldn't tell with the limited tools of the game, and now that the game had improved so much, they would rather stick to having it all in the game.
Consistent complaints from players about needing to read outside the game to get the full story probably played a part.
This same thinking likely applies to Genshin. The original comic gave an appetiser to draw attention to their game, but after that, they would just rather stick to the game itself.
A shame, honestly, because miHoYo's comics are often some of the best parts of their stories, and let them explore things the games would barely touch regardless of their tools.
As for never being fully translated, this is likely just the result of poor localisation management. They likely just don't get enough demand for it to bother fixing the situation. It's not uncommon for that kind of thing to happen.

God, I remember I needed to play their EXTERNAL Visual Novel Game for several hours in HI3. Good story, but man was it long
Augustus30002026-01-20 10:22
Interestingly, the HI3 Second Eruption manga is, only now, getting published as a physical edition to be sold in stores starting this April (published by Tokyopop). I feel like a manga serialization of the eventual Genshin anime adaptation could happen though.

And people are right to complain, lots of important moments of very important characters shouldn't have been left out of the game, like Arlechino vs Cracabena or the full reveal of the Shades
ThePoetessOfLesbos2026-01-20 18:36
Yeahh, I’d really rather access Genshin lore in game (and get rewards for it in quests). I have so many event quests that I need to watch on YouTube 😭
Nelogenazea2026-01-20 12:58
Actually a good call, imo. Multimedia franchises are a pain to follow. Case in point, the MCU. Oh, didn't watch 50+ hours of shows in Disney+? Have fun being confusef af in the next Avengers movie, lol.

"Consistent complaints from players about needing to read outside the game to get the full story probably played a part"
Doubt it considering you're still expected to do that in all their games
Pop-girlies2026-01-21 00:26
Do you? I don't think you need to read outside material to get the whole story of hsr for example (yeah hi3 stuff is in there but you don't need to know about it to know the story) or zzz even
maru-senn2026-01-21 18:12
While not "outside material" Genshin does expect you to read the hundreds of in-game books, some of which are fictional in universe, I'd count past events as outside material since that's the only way to experience them again.
In ZZZ Amby's trailer is necessary to understand her story, don't know how important the other trailers are.
Pop-girlies2026-01-21 23:48
ah, well that I agree with that actually. I feel like hsr's equivalent would be like firefly's trailers? If you didn't know much about her on release and didn't have her then you had to watch the trailer to know about her backstory a bit when imo that stuff should've been in the main story (if aventurine has his whole character story there then firefly can have something too)
tenaka302026-01-20 10:46
Unsure if you are aware but the last chapters were translated in the end by a fan;
I'm all aware of it, just asking about the official translation
fourrier012026-01-20 11:11
Most likely.
HI3 suffered a lot on story fragmentation between official game and other sources (manga and VN) it's good if they contain everything in just a single source rather than get fragmented in several media.
Plus-Theme-32832026-01-20 12:16
It's shame, lisa and Jean were gorgeous in this manga
Weird_Ad21072026-01-25 18:04
ainda vão fazer é por que ainda precisam terminar outras obras como demon slayer já que é do mesmo estudio
