Does anyone else feel bad about spending on this game?
Recently I have been feeling like the next few patches are gonna be hell. I really want to get Skirk, since I’ve been liking her ever since she came out, but I also want to give her Escoffier, the best support. However I barely have any primos. I have put myself up to a challenge that I won’t spend anything on this game until I max everything out, but I barely have time since I still go to school. I can’t play for hours on end, and I’m afraid that they will rerun at the same time and I won’t be able to get them. But at the same time, I’d also feel bad if I spent money on this game more expensive than a welkin. Is it just me? TT

Spent nothing on this game. Like nothing (literally nothing)
Easiest game of my life
The way I see it is that people who spend heavily in gacha games are literally victims.
I suggest trying to find the mindset in this game that you are trying to beat the system with your habits. "Wait, they're trying to make me spend money with these banners? Hell naww I'm stronger than that. I'm gonna prepare for the next rerun and get the character for completely free".
They will ALWAYS introduce more characters with more powerful and interesting kits and visuals. It's an infinite loop until the very last day when the genshin servers go down for good.
Get out of the loop. Spend your money on things that actually matter.
So How are the spenders victims here? It's not like hoyo is holding force multiplier to the head of these ppl and asking them to spend.
They are spending on their own accord , so what is the problem here? Don't sports fans / music spend just as much for every sporting events on venue?
And Don't give the crap about digital vs physical goods cause I can have rarest music / sport celebrity signed goods with me but if I gave it to someone in like a developing Country who has no exposure to them , then the first thing do is sell the product and take the money , like how game accounts are sold so I don't see any difference.
I always find it funny that the ppl with gambling problem see those ppl as victims when all u are doing is shamelessly projecting yourselves onto them to make yourselves feel good
And unless the ppl in question is an working adult ( and not a child) with a WELL DEVELOPED BRAIN FOR CRITICAL DECISION MAKING and are spending their OWN MONEY NOT OTHER'S MONEY of their own accord , then what is the problem?
And isn't the whole western hemisphere sales pitch about individual freedom to chose and do what they want? Then why are u guys calling them the "victim" like they are being forced to do so when the ppl in question are grown arse adults that have seen the world and know what to do for survival.
So please explain to me again why are they the "victims" again when u ppl don't apply the same logic for those real life sports / music / any entertainment media fans who literally spend the same amount on their hobby? So how is this different?

Edit: for the record , I agree with you unless u are talking about kids about the spending & the kid will only spend if they have money so no money no spending.
But even then I reserve judgement for kids with unmonitored access to parents funds who are spending their parents money then I come back to my previous statements , the parents are grown arse adults who are working so they know the value of money and SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN TO GIVE THE CHILD ACCESS TO UR CARDS OR BANK ACCOUNTS.
So no the game is not predatory unless the ppl make it to be & I am not talking about F2p mentality cause it's some of the most toxic so called "victim" excuse I have seen to avoid responsibility for your actions.
New phones, brand clothes, cars, shoes, entire entertainment media....
Everything in this world build to take more money from you.
The only question you should ask if those spent money will give you good emotions.
Some other questions like "Will I actually be able to pay rent if I spend money on this" might take precedence.
If you want specific characters, plan in advance. Save, don't pull unless you can do so without compromising higher priority wants.
I have no problem spending on gacha unless the company proves itself to be greedy fecks who have little respect for the players, that's when I stop.
It's not just Hoyo either, Kuro did it with WuWa when they went into greed mode, Character skins, weapon skins, glider skins and now motorbike skins... greedy fecks in every sense of the word. Although it was their handling of the CN VA that was the final straw. Don't support shitty companies is my philosophy and one I am happy to live by.
But if you want to spend a little this game is worth throwing a couple of bucks now and then, after all it's a F2P who is not putting it in your face as others do, have great stories and it's fun gameplay wise.
Even if people say it's because it's gacha making you spend... A lot of today's modern games make you pay 70 dollars + 20 dollar dlc and they just give you mid content. Even if you spend 5-10 bucks every 2-3 months i see it as a win if you are having fun with the game.
Pretty comfortable, but I am pretty selective on which characters I like.
